And how about those commercials are the same volume as the program!
Load More Replies...I will give a total update to the person who first transmits dialogue and "mood music + sound effects + laughter track" on different channels, so I can adjust the volume independently. So I can either set background sounds low to hear the dialogue, or watch captions and turn the dialogue down to listen to the mood music.
I’ve given up watching action stuff because of this and if I’ve to adjust volume in any other genre, I switch off. I can’t be arsed with it. Someone somewhere isn’t doing their job properly. There’s no excuse for this and I’m old enough to remember when this never happened in movies.
Fun fact, if you can't hear the dialogue but the action sequences are super loud your audio setting is probably set for surround sound. Check to make sure your TV audio is set up to stereo instead of 5.1 (the numbers mean 5 speakers to 1 Subwoofer) if you don't have a surround sound system. Also, most TV's today have the option of optimizing the sound, volume of certain elements based on what you are watching, i.e. movie, news, soap opera, comedy. Make sure that setting is set to the genre you are watching.
The artist has been making "Yes, But" comics since 2016. These comics are based on the idea that people often have conflicting feelings or thoughts in their lives.
Gudim sees the world in a strange and unusual way. He once said that this is a good way to fight boredom – by finding new and interesting things in everyday life.
Oil up those legs ladies! Friction burn, sticking to leather seats? Slap on some coconut oil!
When I was stuck on a long summer car trip, my bright idea was to bring a small towel to place under my thighs to avoid sticking. Doubles to wipe off sweat too.
I use a pashmina or light scarf, no weird bumps on the back of my legs 🙂
Load More Replies...I hate this! It happens to me in school when I wear shorts and every 5 minutes I have to move before I stuck to much
The illustration seems to imply that the strawberries on the bottom were already moldy at the store.
Load More Replies...Nah, go to the Farm and gather them yourself. That‘s the best and cheapest way.
Load More Replies...Soak them in water and vinegar. Dry them, them stick them in a Tupperware lined with paper towels.
When questioned about whether the artist includes suggestions from others, he explained that he often takes notes and might come up with a drawing idea later from those notes. "Some ideas are offered to me by close people or followers on Instagram. If the idea seems good to me, then I will gladly try to translate it into a drawing."
Urgh..stfu! Yes ..Battery production still has to get much more decarbonized. Otherwise this (and elimination of excessive individual automobiltiy) is key. https://climate.mit.edu/ask-mit/are-electric-vehicles-definitely-better-climate-gas-powered-cars
Not to mention the coal burning power plant providing energy to charge your EV
Load More Replies...And that’s before we get to the transmission requirements re:capacity, upgrading millions of transformers, and a plethora of dependency systems that will need to be in place in order not to knock out existing power supply demands. We need a smarter solution to this. Battery-powered vehicles in the current model of deployment is not the answer.
Yes. Progress takes work. We just can't sit around lazily enjoying our fossil fuels. The future comes whether we like it or not. The future WILL be a world without fossil fuels. At some point they will just run out. Better to have all those infrastructure problems taken care of before that happens. Just because there are issues doesn't mean we shouldn't try. We just have to make it better.
Load More Replies...This is the same as if you would tell to a vegan that vegetables need to be produced as well and therefore it's bad to go vegan. Whataboutism at it's finest.
Electric cars are a band aid. And a band aid that comes with some negatives. Reducing the use of personal powered vehicles is a more impaction solution.
Load More Replies...The Union of Concerned Scientists and many other organizations have done cradle to grave studies on EVs. The break even point from an environmental standpoint is a few months for a car that could last a few decades.
I tried to google this but couldn't find it. You have a link? I would like to have this for use in my environmental science class.
Load More Replies...What happens to the electric grid when everyone has electric cars and they all need to be charged at the end of the day? Besides normal electric usage? On a hot summer day in California? I don't think the manufacturers and champions of electric cars have thought that far ahead.
I automatically used the drawing on the moon as some sort of Rorschach test. I see a monster with a long neck and mouth.
Fun fact at least with the newer samsung phones, it pulls up an img of the moon is not the actual moon you're seeing when you zoom in
My phone is an android. Not the greatest pictures. I tried to take a selfie once and it made my nose look 10 times bigger. Like a cartoon character.
Nah, that's a shіt take. People expect to be able to take normal photos with their phone.
Load More Replies...We've noticed that Gudim often posts real-life 'yes, but' stories shared by others on Instagram. This made us interested in how his interaction with followers affects him. The artist responded by saying that he feels enthusiastic about it. He enjoys the fact that the format has gained global recognition, and he finds many of the ideas sent to him to be creative in their absurdity. "I like that the format is reflected in real life," Gudim added.
Just need to start using the summer bedroom approach - his is now down the hall.
she either touches my back or I touch hers, spooning in summer is for noobs
Husband and I have a little cuddle session before sleeping, but it is officially sleep time when I pull away and we either touch arms/hands/feet against the other.
Get a cooling blanket, they are amazing. You can wrap up your self then hug, the blankets help disperse the heat out.
If you have a non-breathing person and don't know how to perform first aid, you DON'T google it, DON'T ask on facebook what to do and DON'T watch tutorials on YouTube *because it wastes the precious time*. YOU FRIGGIN' CALL THE AMBULANCE and then do whatever else you can do.
You can call the ambulance and THEN look at this video. You'll still have about 3 or 4 minutes left at that point.
Load More Replies...ok but never try to look up how to save someone... you are literally holding a device that can call an ambulance.
If I've learned anything from playing videogames, it's that eating a burger can instantly restore approximately 25 hit points.
Every article I read, every video I watch, every recipe I try to copy...I get pop-up ads over pop-up ads. Multi layered pop ups.

really really hate that but please make sure that you don't just cut it off with a scissor or it get even more annoying
Why are there any tags at all anymore?? I refuse to buy a shirt with a tag
Some have washing instructions and others are just there to tell u the size and annoy you
Load More Replies...I support tags at the bottom or printed into the inside, preferably in an area it won't get rubbed off... the tags being missing is a nightmare for 2nd hand clothing stores because WE DON'T KNOW WHAT SIZE TO PUT IT INTO!!!
Tags burn me if I don’t eradicate them totally out of clothing. Be careful as a hole doesn’t look good.
As uncomfortable labels can be on clothes, they can be really handy as some fabrics have to be handled differently. Once, I made the mistake of putting a wool sweater in the dryer a few times and I kept wondering why it was shrinking. Turns out wool can't go in the dryer as the heat in the dryer can cause it to shrink so it has to be air dried. Thankfully, I was able to salvage it.
Sometimes people forget, we are all just humans it's hard to keep track of everything.
Load More Replies...This is called "Elephant racing". Anyone who drives long distances has seen it. The average length of a truck like this in the US is 22 meters. At a 1 Km/h differential in speed, there is a .3 meters per second speed differential. If you double the length of the truck to include a safe distance to move over, it will take somewhere near 2.5 minutes for the truck that is doing 81 Km/h to pass the slower truck. Now the average speed of a car is around 115 KPH, so you can see why "Elephant racing" causes huge backups on the freeway.
In Germany this is actually illegal. You need to be driving a "significant" higher speed (I learned 10km/h at least but there's no set value) than the vehicle you want to pass to avoid those backups. Not that anyone adheres to that.
Load More Replies...It comes from the fact that most fleet trucks are "governed" at about the same speed in each country, That is they are limited to a max speed, but it is mechanical so it varies by a little bit +/- 1 MPH/KPH for each truck. Most drivers are paid by the load, so out on open road, they are typically "hammer down" going the max speed their truck will allow and basically using it as a form of cruise control. It is annoying to micro-manage your speed to match a slower truck in front of you, so the desire to pass, even at 1 MPH/KPH is quite strong. This is compounded by situations where a heavier truck is in front you and it will slow you down at the next hill and you really want to be past them. Yea, it's impatient and a bit silly, but when your performance metric is time spent driving long distances, you start to game this stuff, and worrying about inconveniencing road trippers is about at the bottom of your priorities. Not saying it's right, just giving you all a slice of the mentality
I hate that SO much. The I-95 corridor is full of those truckers and it's mostly only 2 lanes
130 km/hr speed limit. Ha! In your dreams maybe. Here, whenever an 81 km/hr truck might even conceivably pass an 80 km/hr truck then the b*stards who set the speed limit will have reduced it to 80. So you're stuck travelling at 80 just as frickin slowly even if there's no truck in sight.
Don't know why you got a downvote. Maybe for the snark but a lot of people don't think about the fact that the OS and apps take up space. It's not all for music and photos.
Load More Replies...I am sorry, your complaining about loosing 20.65 gigabytes in a phone with over 200? My phone has 60, so shut up!
In my case it is an IPod. I buy the largest size possible on purpose because I have a lot of music. So it is really annoying.
Load More Replies...2^10 =/= 10^3. Binary thousand ("binäre Tausend" in german - is it translated that directly?) isn't the same as decadary thousand (your usual 1000). As a GB is 10^9 B, we happen to have to compare it to 2^30, and there, some roughly 7.4% are gonna go missing between measurements in binary or decadary calculations. Memory got so cheap eventually, ... we shouldn't worry about this.
Is this the marketing uses 1000 bits, and real application uses 1024? Edit: bytes! 🫣
Load More Replies...Whatever, that's how storage devices have always been, because they count actual storage verse formatted storage.
AGH YES. It's even worse with a cheaper phone, they call it 15 gigs but you only get 10 cause the system takes up 5.
256GB Includes operating system AND 10% of disk space should be free space at all times So if you don't feel this is enough Buy the 512GB Just sayin'
Oh, that's an amazing OS! Mine took up a whole 50GB fresh out of the box...
eh...could someone explain? Is it referring to air pollution from forest fires or Mexico?
The paint bucket tool on photo editing apps is supposed to fill between lines but it often fills most or all of the page

Eh roads around here aren't much better in the south. My car rides low (Audi a3 2006 2.0L Turbo, asks me about it some time! ) and every manhole cover or pothole is a buttclenching affair.
The "driving to the gym by car and then biking on an machine or running on the treadmill" always gets me. At least in countries with decent road infrastructure where you have gyms every 5 kilometers.
Exercising outside also isn’t safe after dark for everyone, and some people only have free time at night
Load More Replies...What gets me is the people who try to park as close as possible to the entrance to a store or mall and then spend an hour or so walking around the mall!
They might do it if they plan on buying a lot or buying something especially heavy - not fun to walk a long distance with oddly shaped packages or tons of bags.
Load More Replies...Clothing requirements should be for everybody. This is sexism, too.
But like...the skirts may have built in shorts. And shorts are so much better than skirts!
My aunt was just on a trip, I have a huge family. She started a group chat to share pictures of her SIX week trip in real-time. She was sending pictures 2-3x a day. Pair that with the over 15 responses of each share -- I was going bonkers. I muted the conversation on my phone, but I still was getting notified. I love my family so much, but oi vey.... lol
When I get in for ONE thing.... I get out with lots of one things....
Load More Replies...That. Basket doesn't have a bottom, of course she has to carry everything.
I do that to force myself not to buy a lot. I inevitably go get a basket or end up hurting my fingers crying to clasp things. Sigh.
I kinda use a carry basket cause I am So much more aware of what I've picked out.
Give me a decent wage so I'll not have to work overtime - then I can get enough sleep. Simple as that.
I have, but I still don't get the idea of gourmet coffee in a paper cup.

Those of us who saw that Seinfeld episode will always do this lol
Load More Replies...I did but I still like it better long. I'm sure you can find a way to deal with something that doesn't affect you at all.
Load More Replies...Why is it a problem? I don't get it. It's like being shamed for armpit hair...
This doesn't bug me. While I may not like the way it looks it's not my hair. Do what you want with your body.
There’s something about men who can’t grow hair on their heads that makes them either start shaving it and going 100% bald, or compensate by growing it absolutely everywhere else they can, and as long as they can. Bet if the cartoon man turned around, he’d also have a full beard and mustache.
Still not bad, and they could be rocking the look or not, its not our buisness anyhow 💕
Load More Replies...And once unfolded, after ten minutes of researching your language in the tiny print, after reading all the side effects and deciding not to take the pill, impossible to fold back.
Ha. We have whole commercials dedicated to the side-effects of medicine state side. They should ban medicine commercials as they are part of the problem (albeit small part) of our health-care system.
Just do not immerse yourself in S.E.'s? There's everything there! Hairy palms, diarrhea/constipation,pale toes, black tongue, insomnia/somnolence,loose eyeballs, hives... Wheeeee!
I know, it's frustrating but since i keep my steam deck updated i need no internet to play games that require live service as it's a requirement for steam to have access to your games at all times
Load More Replies...I only dl games to my phone that I can play offline. Mainly because my kids sometimes also play on my phone and there's a smaller risk of them messing something up if the internet is off. Sure, it puts a huge limit to what games I play..... but I still find games that I get super obsessed about. 😁
Joe! We told you this was a secret! You’ve lost your secret privileges buddy.
A road trip to find the secret waterfall in Madera Canyon, AZ.... Had to wait in line to take my wife's photo next to the secret waterfall.
Here in Spain, they usually have metal blockages near the top so people throw less trash there
Where i live ive seen people take them off,
Load More Replies...Pack it in, pack it out. Hold on to your trash people sheesh! Littering is one of my biggest pet peeves.
This simply isn't true. I only know the name of one of my husband's exes, and he was married to that one
Past presidents don't affect her. To be fair his ex's don't either. I never understood that. But me and my hubs take the p**s outta each other by making fun of our ex's. More so about what the hell we saw in them...the joys of being on your 2nd marriage.
I'd definitely rather have free wifi and talk to people I know then hug a random guy lol 😂
Unfortunately I will not give hugs to a male stranger. A child ( with supervision) fine, a woman yep. but Sorry Too many men are not trustworthy. ( I don't do free wi-fi either)
what are you doing in less than 2 hou.... oh it's probably an iPhone.
Definitely an iphone, i get at least 16-18 hours on my samsung 10 if I'm playing a game, 16 for any other app but who is on your back app for 16 hours?
Load More Replies...it says on the homescreen its still 5:34. Definitely a iphone
ikr? theey're so dangerous!!! i need to be able to work my car WITHOUT LOOKING AWAY FROM THE ROAD. Like fr what in GODS name happened to 'never look away from the road even for one second'??? The PSAs for that were TERRIFYING when i was a kid and now the actual CAR demands you do that??? No way!!! I'm getting a car with BUTTONS and KNOBS.
Load More Replies...Not sure I see the problem? I do wish I received more thoughtful gifts, rather than money or gift cards, though. I think 99% of people give gifts out of obligation and resentment instead of actual thoughtfulness.
I quit Christmas shopping for gifts & only give gifts if I think they would like it or it's something I want to gift. A pair of socks & a candle after spending a couple of paychecks on the family will do that...
Load More Replies...Currently, my teeth are between being broken and being repaired sufficiently. Meaning, not repaired sufficiently at the moment. I stop eating anything and everything that feels like it could brake off a temporary crown ("Krone" in german ... grind the tooth to a square, place the sleeve-like replacement - the Krone - over it, glue on, smile and enjoy) or pull out a filling. My account for any and every toothachery is already filled and spilling, I won't add any to it, I don't want no more...

On the plate is the pizza crust - The brown things are bread sticks. For me it is a texture thing.
I'm pretty sure those are Kepta Duona. This website is based in Lithuania and it's a popular snack there.
So for everyone outside Lithuania, what is kepta duona?
Load More Replies...Of course. Everybody knows that a diet coke cancells out a double cheeseburger 🍔... Doesn't it?🫣
So what, i have to drink blood or death flavored whey protein now?? Why can't a man love both dark themed shirts AND teddy vanilla flavored protein. That's sexist.
Feel free to make fun of him to his face I'm sure your scrawny but very manly self will be totally fine.
There is nothing wrong with liking the taste of yumm yummy choco. Never grow up!
You want to grow? You need protein. It's the steroids and pre-work out I have issues with.
This one is literally so pure tho. This is a damn cartoon and I'm low-key falling in love with this guy
What I interpret from this (I may be thinking different than the artist) is that we are made to think that we are advancing so fast when in reality the big companies are just lying to us. This may also be a shot at Elon musk's Tesla robot which was believed to be a person in costume
What I interpret from this is that we may think of AI and robots and tech as something in itself when in reality it is built on/based on humans. But I could be very wrong here. 😁
