Beach Boys Performing Acapella Of ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ Puts Today’s Autotune Performers To Shame
“Wouldn’t It Be Nice” Is one of the Beach Boys’ most famous and well-loved songs. Written by Brian Wilson, Tony Asher, and Mike Love, the song was released as the opening track of their 1966 album Pet Sounds. But have you ever heard the a cappella version?
It was released in 1997 when a vocals-only version of Pet Sounds was released under the name Stack-O-Vocals (named in the same vein as their 1968 backing-tracks album, Stack-O-Tracks), and when you listen to it we guarantee that it’ll give you goosebumps. Brian Wilson once said that you should listen to Pet Sounds using earphones in the dark, so kick back, dim the lights, and turn up the volume. (h/t: twistedsifter)

Took my girls to see them earlier this year. I don't think I closed my mouth for the entire concert! amazing!
Load More Replies...Not enough people are aware of the rampant use of auto tune. What it does is turn anyone off the street into a singer. There is plenty of info out there to demonstrate how it changes the worst singers into great sounding singers. Check out Brittany Spears for example. There are videos with her singing with and without autotune. Pretty shocking
Well the instrumental version is a perfect classic but the a capella version is at the same level!
The whole Pet Sounds Album was one of the greatest in history, they inspired the Beatles' Sgt Pepper album
Anybody hate the woman that "had" to say that she was a personal friend with Maureen Love? Nobody cares sweety
