My name is Karol Nienartowicz and I am a mountain photographer. For many years I have been traversing the trails in search of perfect winter scenes. I recommend a gallery of winter photographs, which were made in Poland: in the Sudetes and the Carpathians Mountains.

This little house (cottage?) looks so cozy. It'd feel so good to have a nice roaring fire, get up and take a break from reading my book and look outside the window at the breathtaking beauty while sipping some cocoa.

Sure, New Years? Unfortunately the building has been closed for some time now. It was part mountain shelter part meteo station. Not sure why it's closed, though.

My Mother's family is Polish and I grew up listening to them speak Polish to each other. Never once in my life did I ever think about the landscape and how beautiful this is! Just pictured desolate cities. Shows how much I know!! Dumb me!

I do not think this is fake. Rather long exposure photo with a full moon lighting up the peeks. Still, amazing result.

That flying-soucer-like building is a hostel altogether with a meteorology station. The bigger one is church. Both buildings are on the top of Mount Śnieżka in Sudety Mountains.

Thank you for sharing. I love to look at other people's photos. It shows me what other people see beauty in. A random tree, a building, whatever. It can change my perspective sometimes and sometimes I need that. I'm not one for the snow but my job requires lots of traveling so hopefully I can visit Poland one day during the warmer season. Beautiful photos.

My grandparents came from Poland, and it's a place I've always wanted to visit. Since I haven't, and doubt that I will get there at this point.
