Most of the people online fawn over puppies and kittens, but the animal kingdom has so much more to offer than just the most popular variety. We just had the most amazing opportunity to see mossy frogs as well as snails that look like they were created by Dracula himself, but now it's time to look at some genuinely fascinating farm animals.
Turns out, there's a duck breed with a peculiar characteristic — an adorable tuft of feathers atop the animal's head. It's speculated that this breed (or similar species) has been around for 2000 years. And while it's been known to farmers for hundreds of years, people on the internet just recently discovered this adorable breed of ducks.
It wouldn't be the internet, if pictures of this particular duck weren't quickly turned into a meme. Many compared the crested ducks to George Washington, 18th-century judge, and more. And honestly? We agree! It definitely looks like those ducks wear a wig of some sort. Now that's a conspiracy! Scroll down below to check them out and don't forget to comment and vote for your favorites.

lol it looks like they're getting comfy and ready to spill some tea
theyre so damn cute. thank god theyre bred for show and not food
Are these duck in Florida? Look like some little old ladies on their way to go shopping at Chicos.
Perhaps these duck are related to a near extinct band of ducks - identifiable largely because of their down-turned bills. Check YouTube- search “a Chick named Albert.” The newer videos feature rare hatchlings. The Youtuber has spent 30 years hatching eggies into ducks! Quail, EMU, mini birds... but you have to be in the right space to get into it. Relaxed and calm. The videos are lovely and cathartic for times like these. Good to watch while winding down for sleep.
If Stevie Ray Vaughan was a Duck, he’d be this one. Just needs a little duck kimono and squash blossom silver... rip

I have no idea why i pressed this i just saw ducks and pressed it lol
Gross you bothered me with this for 2 weeks just to show me UGLIEST ducks alive
Years ago my neighbor had a dozen chickens big muthas, from silkies to rhode isle reds, and i kicked a small soccer ball to them, in less than 30 mins they were running around playing chicken soccer....never LOL so much...damn I miss those birds...
the crest comes from a skull defect. as a result of the defect, some of the crested ducklings die in infancy. if you breed them incorrectly (two crested ducks rather than one crested and one un-crested carrier), fifty percent of the ducklings will die in the shell because they'll have exposed brains and some portion of the successful hatchlings will die because of the skull deformity. Not saying they aren't cute, but there is a pretty high cost to breeding them. This is a feature that we can perhaps live without. check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crested_(duck_breed) edit: added a sentence and link to wikipedia
They all look the same. 3 or 4 picture would have been fine. But thank you.
Yeah, crested ducks actually come in more colors than just white. While the article is cute, more variety in duck colors would've been nice.
