‘She Cursed My Life With 3 Stepchildren:’ TV Show Contestant Introduces Himself In An Unexpected Way

The Golden Age of Television is something that quite a lot of people still remember with fondness. Now, there are plenty of reasons why TV was way better back in the day, but one of those things was that the humor shown on the screen more nuanced, required some patience, and made you laugh all the harder once you uncovered all the different layers of humor.

Nowadays, it’s hard to catch a glimpse of subtle, slow-burning comedy. Fortunately, for one shining moment, comedy reigned supreme on TV when a contestant on Wheel of Fortune named Blair Davis introduced himself in a refreshing, not to mention hilarious, manner. Mr. Davis joked about his ‘loveless’ marriage only to later admit that he, in fact, loves his family dearly.

Some people are calling Mr. Davis’ humorous introduction the best ever in the history of the Wheel of Fortune, which first started running on TV in 1975.

The funny thing is, when watching the bearded contestant’s introduction, some people thought that he was being brutally honest about how much he detests his family. It was only after the show’s host Pat Sajak double-checked to see that Mr. Davis was kidding that the latter had this to say: “I love them like nobody’s business.”

The bearded American’s introduction was viewed over 10,000 times on Wheel of Fortune’s Instagram account, over 36,000 times on Facebook, 3,700 times on Twitter, and 7,400 times on YouTube. Which just goes to show how much people enjoyed Mr. Davis’ sense of humor.

Wheel of Fortune is the longest-running syndicated game show in the US: 7,000 episodes aired as of May 10, 2019. The show’s 37th season started on September 9. Sajak is now the longest-running host of any game show ever, surpassing even the legendary Bob Barker from The Price Is Right.

I'm going to down vote him. Jokes and sarcasm are clearly frowned upon here.

Like the beginning of Armageddon when the Astronomer is talking about naming the asteroid... "I want to name her "Dottie," after my wife. She's a vicious, life-sucking b***h from which there is no escape..." But in his case..he meant it. LOL

Finally! I thought maybe it was mandatory that you say "amazing spouse" and " wonderful children. " If he just would have said something about a job from hell.
