FdB Awards Try To Find The Most Outstanding Images Of Real Love, Here’s The Winning Photographs (25 Pics)
We believe love is the most important feeling for human beings. Wedding photographers all over the world try to describe this feeling in joyful and original ways. Every couple is different, every couple is unique and so should be their wedding photos, right?
Every three months we run a contest to find the most outstanding images of love, couples and weddings. With the help of three talented professionals: Arno de Brujin (Holland), Blair DeLaubenfels (USA) and Xiang Wi (China), the best images have been selected from more than 1300.
Those images show that there is always space for creativity, fun, color and happiness in wedding photography. The authors are real artists crafting their best photos and giving to the couples timeless memories of their great day. Which one do you like best?

"Elegance On The Beach" By Claudio P
These compositions make me understand why hiring a good photographer is important.
Feel free to downvote, it is just my opinion - this is overly staged kitsch. I cannot see love in this picture, just a photographer trying too hard to create art.
How on earth tis this a photo of 'real love'. It's just a photo of a beach done in an awkward way. These could be too strangers. I thought it would be like an old couple holding hands very comfortably, or something along those lines. This is #1 and I won't be looking at any others.
So true. No such thing as true love. Ppl facking it
Load More Replies...If you think this is cheesy, you haven't seen Russian wedding photographs. BoredPanda did a listicle on them a couple years ago. Let's just say it takes Photoshop and bad poses to a whole level. I actually don't mind this photograph. While it isn't my absolute favourite in this listicle, I think it's creative.

Photographer and a director of the FdB, Martino Buzzi, shared that the organization supports photographers who are not afraid of doing new things and experimenting in the field.
"We are working hard to be a connection between couples who are looking for special photos and the photographers who offer a unique work. In the near future, we see ourselves as a well-known and respected platform in the business helping hundreds of couples finding the perfect photographer for their special wedding."
"I Am Never Afraid When I Am With You" By Ismael Peña
It somehow reminds me of Beauty and the Beast.

"The Sun, The Sea And You. Nothing Else I Need" By Marco Helga
I love the way their dresses both blend into the scenery and stand out against it. Gorgeous.
These are the most beautiful settings... especially the sea side photos.
Each time, the photos are examined individually by each of the three judges. They are looking for emotional impact, good or excellent use of light and composition, originality, a good or wonderful location or expression.
In this competition, we received more than 1300 individual pictures and 640 photographs in the reportage category, so almost 2000. There are around 100 photographers who participate throughout the year and collect awards in different contests.
"Look Out: Happiness Is Contagious" By Alberto Ramirez
This one makes me want to jump into the photo and party with these women!
If I were invited to weddings like this, I wouldn't dread them so much.
Yeah. No bridesmaids dresses and other stupid stuff. Just lots of love and fun. I had no bridesmaids, Maid of Honour, BS! A blue dress, little castle for the ceremony, nice restaurant with buffet and booze and music and dancing. BANG on. Perfect.

Oh man, I love the groom's colorful suit and the bride's fauxhawk hairstyle!
This is not real love. All these pictures are of when you first get married. Before you realize there is no such thing as real love
In comparison to five years ago, now there is a richer variety of styles. A much richer offer of different views. Photographers are getting more and more specific and personalized. Apart from “vintage”, “classic” and “modern” styles, now we can find experimental photographers breaking the traditional barriers. Showing unseen moments and characters. For example, we can now see many photographers doing special sessions before or after the wedding.
"Together We Can Go Wherever We Want" By Agustín Zurita
Love this! What a cool pick with this vintage Citroen. I wish I had the brain to come up with compositions such as this. Kudo’s to the photographer!
Hope it's not into the stratosphere like Sandy and Danny, she hasn't got a coat on!
"Natural Love" By Pedro Álvarez
Man, take your incest kinks elsewhere, these wives dont need that b*llsh*t
Load More Replies...Apart from wonderful fashion style pictures, perfectly lightened and posed, nowadays there is a more direct and authentic style which is based on a photojournalistic idea. This kind of photography is very difficult because there is no control over what is going to happen and the photographer must be ready.
We are also trying to give importance to the full stories and not just single images. That's why we came up with the category "Wedding story". In this section, we display 20 collections of photographs taken on a single wedding day. You can see the photos here.

"So Much Beauty In The World" By Marco Helga
I was slowly scrolling down. My first thought was why is she in a wheelbarrow?
Chivalrous man.. 💜 doesn't want his beautiful bride to get wet💜
Load More Replies...I'm learning a lot about composition just looking at these beautiful photographs.
"It Is A Small World" By Roberto Abril
This one makes me think it took a lot of work, but the effect is stunning.
This must be his thing. He did a previous one that is very similar. As a wedding picture, I don't like it. The scale does not let you even see the subjects.
"The World Looks Upside Down When I Am With You" By Moana Wu
I want to know what they're holding. Beautiful couple in a beautiful setting, with a kid for comic relief =0]
"Never Forget Your Smile" By Nacho Bueno
Don't know I find it a bit weird. Like who's the guy? Could be the waiter. Placing that mirror on top of the glass is weird too. I like when perspectives are different or mirror over images but this doesn't scream professional romantic picture to me
Load More Replies...I'm sorry, I don't care for this one. It just doesn't seem romantic or cute or funny, just weird.
"In The Ocean Or In The Sky, Just Want To Be With You" By Pedro Álvarez
The water shots are dangerous but not what you think. Know a story of a woman who was pulled down and tangled in a heavy wet dress.
"Peace Love And Happiness" By Jorge Elisburu
a kid smiling in wedding photo, this photographer is a pro :D i love this one.
"Life Is A Party, Just Dance" By Roberto Abril
This one made me smile... such a happy photo! I think I can hear the music 🎻🎶
"Standing In The Light" By Jose Manuel Taboada
My wedding photos look so boring by comparison...these are anything but.
"The Best Landscape Is With You" By Tamara Hevia
pov: they did but they took a picture like 2 sec before that
Load More Replies..."Colours Are Sweet As Your Soul" By Alison Bounce
My dumb@ss thought it was some cool editing of the bride and didn’t realize they’re both the bride 🤦♀️
I don't think they are the same woman. I think it's two different women (bride and maid of honor, maybe?) getting ready in different rooms. Even so, I don't really "get" this pic.
Load More Replies...I don’t see where there’s anything to identify them as brides except the dress hanging between them. On the right is a cocktail dress and on the left a simple white dress. Neither are in a seeing where you would think wedding.
"Follow The Yellow Line" By Angel Blanco
Exactly my thoughts, couldn't believe it. Smh.
Load More Replies..."Natural Love, No Need To Hide" By Sergio Arnés
No offense but this honestly looks hilarious with the tan lines
They're both holding clothes, technically it *is* on their hands...
Load More Replies...Only place you can hang this is the master bath.
Load More Replies...This is my favorite of all of them. I have some nude photos my mom took of me and my 1st husband (I became a widow at 26 😔) and they're my favorite of all the newly married photos we had. There's just something about stripping away all the pretense and decor and baring your soul to someone (and the camera).
"You Are The Brightest Light In The Sky" By Ana Agua
Please google "strange russian wedding pictures". I don't think you have seen truly creative wedding pictures 😀
Load More Replies...again not a fan - it looks like the background has been copied over & over as the bride & groom are sort of transparent at the bottom.
Oh dear,,why not have natural photos. This dosnt say true love,it says we paid for an expensive photographer
"Colors Of Love" By Roberto Montorio
Interesting effect, but this one doesn't strike me as romantic. It took me a minute to see the couple, because I was distracted by what looks like fire inside a trailer!
SNAP! I literally just thought the same thing.
Load More Replies...I thought the couple in the center was a skull. Not romantic at all.
The silhouette of the couple looks like a skull .I thought that it was ET looking out to phone home he he
"You Are The Light Of My Life" By Jose Cardona
I think this one is one of my favorites. I wish my wedding photos were this beautiful.
I think all wedding photos are beautiful because of the memories that they hold. If you love them, that's all that matters.
Load More Replies...Looks like something I would take. And I'd consider it a whoops.
"I Feel As If I Am Floating Over The Roofs" By Raul Gori
I love this composition, but I am worried about her safety... how'd she get up there and is that hanging on a power line? Still the blue and white is really nice.
"When I Am With You The Sky Is The Limit" By Marc Prades
This makes me think of the bizarre Russian wedding photos where Photoshop is taken to whole new levels of strange.
"Here You Are, My Treasure" By Fran Ortiz
Very cool and beautiful pics, but....don't hate me here...they're a bit corny
I loved these photos... the beauty of the settings and the compositions made me happy. Thanks BP.
I wouldn't care about what an amazing picture it would turn it to be, but I'm not getting my wedding dress wet.
I agree, in my country at least, some of the pictures are taken on a separate day from The wedding, usually before, so the groom and bride have time to enjoy the celebrating, seems to be the case of some of the more elaborate shots
Load More Replies...Where are the couples who have been married for decades? That is true love. I mean all of the people in these pictures are fantastic but true love stands through the test of time.
That last one was perfect 🤣 and I liked the yellow brick rd one. And the caravan one. They were more original. The motorbike one seemed best tbh.
Sorry, but I just do not like all those unnatural, artsy and photoshopped pictures, therefore, the two women in the forest were my absolute favourite!
It will surprise you that a lot of these can have been done without Photoshop. With the right lens, angle and lights you can get amazing artsy pictures without the use of Photoshop. As a photographer you just need to know exactly what you want and what you're doing. The only one that's clearly photoshopped is the couple in the clouds (24)
