I am Berk Armagan, 27 years old. I am known as seyyahart on social media. The name "seyyahart", is a combination of the words traveler (me), travel (my purpose), and art (my way).

I travel around the world by selling drawn paper cups, which I started with the idea of gaining financial income to travel the world. I have traveled to 25 countries and 60+ cities since I realized this idea in October 2016. I don't have any education in drawing. I share what I've learned, my experiences, and my art while traveling with the people who follow me.

The cups in Istanbul project is based on coming to Istanbul from the airport like a tourist, visiting and drawing popular spots in Istanbul.

The thing that inspired me to start my journey as a traveling artist was more experiences to live in the world than I could ever imagine. After hitchhiking through most of Turkey I was in, I started drawing and selling paper cups to earn money. As I slowly started to travel to different countries of the world, while I was having incredible experiences, drawing a symbol of each country started to motivate me to travel more. Considering that contemporary art is idea-oriented rather than labor-oriented recently, I started to make portable paintings in this way by investing both a different idea and effort. I respect art. Because since the first humans, we have been expressing ourselves, our feelings, and our thoughts through art. My passion for travel has become my purpose in life. I think I will draw and travel until I die.

The details in the stained glass windows!

I improved it by drawing different things that are generally what I love. When there was a subject that I was lacking, I tried to improve myself on that subject. There were difficulties that I faced when I started out. There were times when I stayed on the street, couldn't eat anything, and felt bad psychologically. But they made me stronger. Traveling the world on a low budget is a difficult act. I gained more self-confidence. My belief that I will travel the whole world has increased even more.

The city I live in is Istanbul. The fact that this place has been the capital of many civilizations from the past to the present and the bridge between Europe and Asia makes this city very important. In a city with such a history, it is possible to find a historical building, fountain, sculpture, and museum every step of the way. I wanted to express the city I live in with my own art. I choose the popular points I draw after knowing the history of the city.

Istanbul must be beautiful anyway, if I wasn´t disabled & on social security and additonally had somebody who cared for my 15 year old adopted senior tomcat Thori I´d love to travel there once. Some online friends of mine visited Istanbul yet and were amazed.

The number of places I have visited now is 27 countries and 70+ cities. After publishing this post, I went to a few more places. Japan has impressed me the most among the countries I have visited so far. The simplicity and pale colors of Ukiyo-e's works have always impressed me. Traveling through Japan with lively eyes and examining the works of art impressed me a lot.
