I've been born to draw. Last 20 years of my life I was somehow sleeping in the corners of myself, trying to be a good mother, a good daughter, and a good wife. But lately, something clicked in me. I couldn't be the same person I've become with time. I had an unexplainable desire to come out of that shell, I didn't feel happy. The passing year was an awakening for me. I looked inside myself, and living in the Sadness I was feeling, I was able to reach out to my inner self. That's how all those drawings were born.
I call this project of mine "Search of the Inner Child". We all have the inner child living in us, waiting to be saved somehow. So I did find mine! I have promised never to abandon Her again. My little "Gabriele". When I draw, I am with Her. The most amazing process to see myself unfold. Only an artistic person would understand. My drawings are like meditation to me. I could pour longing, sadness, happiness, hope, desires, fears, dreams.. into my drawings. I can conquer the dragons living inside of me first, I can fly with butterflies, I can sleep under the night sky, dance by the fire.. you can be wild, and free, and become just a little detail in the universe. You can become part of nature, be nature.

I was always inspired by mandalas. First, I started photographing newborns in my Mandala creations. So not surprised, that my drawings also have mandala shapes and all my compositions are started from a circle. The circle shape itself is not an ending element, always moving, always involving. Like infinity or eternity. Perfect harmony with good and bad. I like that. We all have good and bad (dark) sides of us. Everything needs to have balance and meaning.
I have created a zodiac line in my drawings. It is a sphere I adore so much, something about the secrets Zodiacs have. Astrology always inspired me. So my Zodiacs I have created through my world, through my prism. All of my works are created by listening to my inner child. Trying very hard to understand the little "Me". Trying to open up myself and dive deeply into the place I was afraid to go for so long.
