FROM OP: They were shaped to make you stick your butt out funny. They were supposed to help posture, but if you have low muscle tone (the main cause of bad posture), they'll be murder on your back and cause all sorts of health problems. And hunting for this image, I found out that they were expensive as hell! $200 per chair! They could've gotten us nice several reclining swivel chairs for that much money!
