20 Surreal Photos I Took In My Garage Without Using Photoshop
9Kviews
I love making surrealistic photo portraits using props, practical effects, and illusions. Since I didn’t want to resort to photo editing to create my images, I knew that I would have to get physical and build my own photo backdrops.
Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford my own studio space until I had my feet on the ground, my parents lent me their garage space to use as my photography art studio. These creative photos were all taken in that small, crowded, too-hot-in-the-summer, too-cold-in-the-winter, Michigan garage!

Ohhh, this really got me for a bit. The chalk lines in the front (and on the sides) aren't chalk, but string or something like it - probably more solid. Maybe one of those 3d printer doodle pens? Anyway, nicely done!
The bigger square, and corners, are drawn on a glass. The rest on the wall.
Load More Replies...It's all drawn on the wall with the exception of the short bit on his arm.
Ok, this is very cool, but that smoke in the last pic is NO WAY the same as the first two pics XD
These are amazing, keep up the good work
Thank you!
I liked your work on Star Wars. ;)
Amazing use of perspective. Thank you.
Wonderful work. I'd love to see more "behind the scenes" shots, showing how you set everything up. Fascinating how odd angles in one perspective become three dimensional in another. And all with simple props and color schemes, too. 💙
Wow, your imagination and skills are impressive. Fantastic work!!!
I loved it, a thought it would be cool to put with every one what the setup sculls looked like.
This is great work. It's been years since I have seen such well thought out, analog work.
Really impressive! Great job
