Apparently, after arriving to Edinburgh, Salma contacted her boyfriend’s friend to find out whether Finlay was in his apartment. And that’s when she found out that her boyfriend was currently flying to Paris. In order to surprise her.

Same thing happened to me last year. I was working in Poland and had a week off so I flew back to the UK to surprise my fiancee. Her flatmate told me she had flown out to Poland on the same day to surprise me. Never met up in the end.
