The Decisive Moments Magazine Awards 2021 Has Revealed The Most Fascinating Moments Captured By Street Photographers (30 Pics)
Street photography fascinates with its ability to change one's perception of reality. Its artists manage to show unnoticed details in everyday things, people and situations. Whether it's something funny, unexpected or controversial, all of the photographs are about us and the (undiscovered) world we live in.
With that being said, we want to celebrate talented street photographers by sharing their works as published by The Decisive Moments Magazine (TDM) Awards 2021. The Jury team of two, Vineet Cohra and F. Dilek Uyar, has chosen 34 winners and finalists whose works are being showcased on the TDM website.

I wonder if the next photo shows one of them bumping into the pole because THAT would be the future we seem to conjuring up here on planet Earth!
Perfect! This should be posted on every 30-something man's mirror to encourage him to stay fit.
OMG, censored. That's so funny. W***y is his name...
Load More Replies...Paul Kessel was announced as the winner of The Decisive Moments Magazine Awards 2021 with his amusing photograph depicting people in Mercer Street, Soho. In one of his interviews, the photographer shared that originally, he was interested in portrait photography but later on discovered street photography and became "immersed in it".
"Shooting street scenes is like a sport and they are mostly candid. In a few instances, people seemed to be aware of my presence", Paul shared on his website.
Finalist: Vitaly Zimarin, Russia
Finalist: Antonio E. Ojeda, Spain
This is a PHENOMENAL camera capture!!!! I love lines, shapes and angles and the color palette is stunning!
A postmodern comment on the effects of capitalism separating the worker from his product and leading to disenfranchisement and the unattainable hope of freedom... Or just a picture of a man in a barn.
Second place was given to Babak Kanaani. He's a Tehran-based artist who began his career as a photographer in 2005. However, it was only in 2016 that the artist started focusing on street photography. The winning image was shot in the streets of Iran.
Finalist: Eduard Korniyenko, Russia
Editor's Choice: Sujon Adhikary, Bangladesh
Third place went to Joseph-Philippe Bevillard, a talented photographer based in Ireland. As stated on his website, the artist took up photography during his senior year at a private school in Massachusetts. Later on, the artist started a new project, photographing the Irish Travellers.

Obviously the owner of this animal doesn't share your sentiment.
Load More Replies...It's ok, once the bus arrives, he'll be going somewhere else.
Load More Replies...God bless the horse's person for remembering that animals deserve shelter -- even with their fur coats -- too.
The Decisive Moments Magazine Awards is open to all photographers; both amateur and professional from all over the world. For all the winning photographs, check out the TDM website or their socials as listed above.

There's a lot going on here and it gets better the longer you look! I especially love the guy either warding off the geese or teaching them to count!😂
I think that's their car in the water...he's explaining speed limits.
Load More Replies...Dammit, saw it too late. That's just such a perfect joke. Congrats.
Load More Replies...So, do we think this guy is explaining how the car got in the river to these geese? Or do we think that maybe they are interviewing him about what happened?
Ohh, this looks familiar - part of the Licht-Parcours in Brunswick? We have it every few years and I love it... They install lots of art projects near the water and every one is out exploring them at night - ideally by boat.
Finalist: Lucas Barioulet, France
That was one of the best shows and they canceled it. I'm hoping someone does a reboot.

The dog was looking the same way as the owner, then it heard someone with a camera and it was all "HI!"
Wow love the mood/colors/that dogs hair in this one. Looks dreamy. 😍
Finalist: Veronika K Ko, United States Of America
She looks so American! I know the USA is super multicultural but... its probably an idea planted in me from old pictures which were only ever of white people.
Really? I thought she looked like any kid/teenager in the Western world ever. I'd have not been surprised if this was at Germany or Sweden or the Scotland or England or Iceland.
Load More Replies...Are you trying to make a derogatory comment about the Swedish activist, Greta Thunberg?

The aliens have landed. Unfortunately they got their antennae on wrong.

This picture isn't taken in Iran. In his Instagram post he statet that this is varanasi, india.
The photographer is from Iran. All the photos list the photographers' nationality.
Load More Replies...I don't think it is Iran... It looks like India. the rickshaw and secondly the cop has a very Indian face and uniform...
I dont think the country represent the photo but the photographer, since it's beside their name.
Load More Replies...It is India - vehicle is an Autoriksha. That is Sai Baba's picture on the glass of his Autoriksha.
Finalist: Achim Katzberg, Germany
2021, when you've been locked down so long and imagined going outside so hard that your mind bends the space-time continuum and makes it happen.
it's the angle. the clouds are in front of the subject, and the reflection is of her profile

i mean, at least the goose CHECKED that he didnt have any bread in his mouth before he just went in there....
So am I the only parent on here that wants to ask him if he needs to go potty?
Editor's Choice: Elena Alexandra, Germany
Was wondering about that too, as I'm not aware any German train has that kind of interior. So thanks for pointing out.
Load More Replies...Becuase the headrest pillows on are creepy as heck. They seen some things. Or done some things...
The Creation of Adam, only the God is missing and Adam is replaced with Eva

This looks to be a professional photo shoot not really street photography.
First there were helicopters, then drones, then heliskirts. Just touched down en route from the Eiffel Tower

Always make sure to lift the cat before peeing guys. Your wife will thank you.
Finalist: Joseph-Philippe Bevillard, Ireland
Have you noticed that you can tell where someone is from by how they hold their smoke?
I hold mine like this if there's people around, so if they bump into me it'll burn me not them.
Load More Replies...Before I saw the title I was thinking are these guys Irish? They have a "look". Not hating btw.
I'm from Ireland, I saw it immediately too. Can't quite define why either.
Load More Replies...Sadly, the toddlers standing among the men will soon be taking up their destructive habit of smoking.

Angel's Gate Park In San Pedro, Catalina in the background - Beautiful place
Finalist: Laura Pierangeli, Italy

I took a picture like that as a teenager (many years ago), it felt arty at the time.
Finalist: Nivedita Dutta, India
Yes, artisans start by making a bamboo frame for the idol. They bind straw over it to give it a structure & apply clay on top to give it its final shape with its contours & features. Then it is dried in the sun and later colours are added for its Goddess Durga look.
Load More Replies...Looks like a skeleton of a Durga idol.. either it is about to be made or has been taken out after being submerged in water
Load More Replies...Durga is more a goddess of brilliant light, if I remember correctly. If birds of carrion are sitting on it, it might be her wild daughter Kali.
Actually, Kali is not the daughter of Goddess Durga. she is another form of Ma Parvati, just like Durga... All are forms of Shakti...
Load More Replies...Finalist: Piyal Adhikary, India
That's 2 dogs, with the horse in the background, still cool how it looks like a dog with a horse head.
Load More Replies...Almost, but not quite, the dog's bollocks
Load More Replies...Finalist: Babak Kanaani, The Islamic Republic Of Iran
How come only the women have to cover their entire body and men don't?
First Place: Paul Kessel, United States Of America
STREET photography. This is literally the challenge. And 99.9% chance it was spontaneous and not posted or setup. This is an instantaneous slice of life on a city street. I think it's great.
Load More Replies...So much going on in one photo. The eye is drawn to every corner, every side, and the center all at once.
Editor's Choice: Łukasz Korulczyk, Poland
Finalist: Mohammad Mohsenifar, The Islamic Republic Of Iran
Finalist: Jeff Larason, United States Of America
Cool! More stuff like this and less of the " I'm outraged/ a victim " stuff that's taken over Panda.
All of these pictures made me incredibly sad and please don't downvote me bc I see something different. Art is supposed to be that way and these pictures are art.
Totally! But.. do you want to elaborate? Why sad? 🖤
