11 Pics Comparing Father And Son Irwins That Prove The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree
The late great Steve Irwin, known famously as the ‘Crocodile Hunter’, passed away almost 13 years ago – but his legacy lives on in his son Robert Irwin. At only 15-years-old the young wildlife enthusiast has proven he is just as adventurous and passionate about wildlife as his father was.
Working alongside his mother Terri and older sister Bindi, 20, at the Australia Zoo, he is an animal expert and TV personality, who continues to spread his father’s important messages about wildlife conservation through entertainment. Recently he once again reminded the world just how similar he and his dad are by recreating a famous image of the ‘Crocodile Hunter’ at the zoo.

Robert is only 15 years old at this time, but already exactly like his dad. Very intelligent, very, very passionate about animals. I recommend watching Roberts moments on Jimmy Fallon's show, where Robert scares Jimmy with all kinds of animals, while still being very passionate about it.
It's too late to leave them alone! We already messed up their environment. The least we can do is try to fix as much as we can before it's too late. You can't help animals without studying them. You can't help animals without making the general public care.

Nope, I completely agree with Krystine - most Australians regarded him as a complete d******d and a huckster. Also, his approach to animals was completely disrespectful and adolescent.
Load More Replies...I am always in tears everytime I see images or footage of Steve Irwin. Such a wonderful human and so proud how he represented Australia and its 'misunderstood' animals. Terri, Bindi and Robert are absolutely amazing humans themselves and proudly keep Terri's husband and Bindi and Roberts father's spirit and enthusiasm for life alive. Thank you so much for sharing these photos. The legendary Irwin Family.
wonder why they deleted the footage of Steve before he passed away, maybe he was screwing with the stingray ????

When people want to admire a legacy but others only want to b***h and whine.
My post was on Wednesday night and until now was downvoted so hard and all the comments on here were like as if the Irwin family were murders

I was touched, the desires has been handed out to the next generation
Practically, leaving an animal in their natural habitat is not the best way to save them in this day and age. I deplore zoos, but those that have breeding programs for endangered animals and habitats as close to their natural ones as possible, are a necessity with the rate that animals are becoming extinct. The zoo that naturalist Gerald Durrell set up on the Jersery Isles is an example of one. Many species bred there are threatened by humans in some form or another in the wild, and if bred successfully can be release back into their natural habitat and hopefully reproduce. David Attenborough is phenomenal and I have far more respect for what he has achieved than many of the 'celebrities on TV.
God, what an amazing young man, he's sharing the same joy of animals and life that his dad had, and he's doing a fantastic job at it.
What an incredible family you are. Such love, connection and togetherness you all share. You can be so proud of yourself and the legacy you are carrying on.
There are some miserable c***s in here who think it's funny to pick on children.
i REMEMBER HIM so much in animal planet SINCE I WAS LITTLE GIRL .. WE WAS A GREAT MAN , i DIDN´T KNOW HIS SON was 6 years younger than me .. i'M SURE HOW PROUD he is form the boy and whole family , was a big loss ..
Both kids seem to have turned out well. That's not just their father's influence, I have to think their mom did a bang up job as well.
Oh man, I loved his TV show. What a great guy Steve was. Glad he seems to have passed on his passion and his joy.
As long as these family members would be willing to take a good care of the species I am happy. BUt making money & profit out of defenseless animals forcing them to be in an unsatisfied conditions or as prisoners would make me angry & very unhappy. HOPEFULLY IRVINGS WILL TAKE A GOOD CARE OF THE ANIMALS WITH MUCH RESPECT TO THEM.
I love my dad. But I don't want to be like him. I don't want to sit behind a desk making the backgrounds to entertainment software. I'll be doing what these guys are doing when I grow up.
Even though Irwin undeniably did some valuable conservation work, him harassing animals is not a good example. It led to his death after all.
He didn’t “harass” animals, he went into their space and territory and sometimes handled them to show the world that they are worth saving and beautiful and valuable. He did this to inspire people to conserve land and stop poaching, etc. Did it disturb and sometimes scare the animal? Yes. Do the ends justify the means? I think they do. Either way, to judge all of Steve Irwin’s life work as simply “harassment of animals” is ridiculous. It’s a bandwagon started by PETA to disrespect him in death and unfortunately many people are hoping on and completely ignoring the tremendous work he did with conservation.
