Internet Can’t Stop Laughing At These Cops Who Ticketed A Car Made Of Snow With This Note
Simon Laprise has sculpted a full-sized car replica out of snow to fool the snow removal guys, but it attracted the attention of local police officers instead. The 33-year-old Canadian woodworker from Montreal said it was an innocent joke, but the cops even pulled over to write a ticket for the ‘illegally parked’ vehicle.
“I did the car to have fun expressing my creativity on that beautiful day,” Laprise told Buzzfeed. It was a full-sized replica of a DeLorean DMC-12 (the Back to the Future car), although some say it looks more like a third generation Toyota Supra. In parts of Canada, however, parking in a snow removal zone when plowing is scheduled is prohibited. And that’s probably why the cops pulled over.
Upon further inspection, they did identify the vehicle for what it actually was. Finally, the police left a fake ticket on the fake car: “You made our night!!!”

They had to be Canadian, they did not get mad at all.
Load More Replies...In America, they would have hunted the man down, and dumped him in jail. In Canada, if the guy had been standing there, they would have all had a good laugh and gone for a beer after work.
No, the plow crew would have just knocked it over. Don't be dramatic.
Load More Replies...Do you think the snow plougher people will have the courage to remove it?
What are the chances they will go around it thinking it's a real car.
Load More Replies...We Canadians have to have a sense of humor. Our winters are so long, cold and we receive tons of snow so in order to survive we do all sorts of winter pranks and jokes
How delightful to know the Canadian police have asense of humor and are as nice as all the other Canadians in other professions!
Follow up story: Snow plow crashes into car that its driver thought was fake.
Yeah, I bet that's why they have that law! Because they have HEAVY SNOWS in Canada! One can never be too safe! This would probably get a lot of cars run over by snow plows! :-(
Load More Replies...Everyone here is complaining about American cops; police officers are people, and how they act depends on their personalities
Not only personalities, but policies and procedures too
Load More Replies...our Canadian brothers love to prank and laugh also, bravo great white north
No matter it is a real car or a snow car. It still blocades the traffic, doesn't it? If I were the policeman, I'd write a true ticket. ;-)

First and last article I read on this site....such simple mistakes should not be made. Guess that's why you write here rather than a real newspaper, with deadlines and attention to details
Before writing a article on the internet, for the world to read, make sure you at least do your homework and research your topic if you don't know all the facts clearly. This is how people come to the conclusion that you can't trust what's written online.... Anyone how has seen the "Back to the Future" trilogy or has love for automobiles will know instantly the rather big mistake you mr.writer have made regarding the snow sculpture. That is NOT a DeLorean DMC-12....not even remotely close. 1990 Dodge Daytona/Plymouth Laser give or take a year. A blind person could tell you that if they had the option of touching the sculpture to see. WRITE EDIT REWRITE Who's the dummie now????....Police I think not
I lived in Montreal for a few years and my sister is a cop there... on slow nights she would find my parked car and put a fake ticket just like that one saying stuff like ''hahaha have a good day I love you''.... never failed to give me a mini heart attack everytime I came out of my house!!
I think it's genius, and a funny situation where both sides can laugh and have fun. We need more of such situations in this world where they feed us with bad news like death accidents or stupid politics...
Any time Bored Panda uses the phrase “Internet Can’t Stop Laughing”, you can be sure there will be no laughing.
Nice sculpture. "Internet can't stop laughing" is a stretch. USA cops are fine, for the most part... Just like anywhere else.
I probably would have stopped and offered to clean it off for the owner. Looks like I'd be a while :)
DO YOUR JOB MR.WRITER, EDIT YOUR WORK, mistakes like this give the internet a bad name, you can't believe or trust what is written. Have you seen the Back to the Future movies? If not get a life, if so, does that look like a DeLorean DMC-12 to you? Do you write to share information and knowledge, to educate, to entertain to give opinion, advice or warning? You are writing to a global audience, not just an sms to yourself so PLEASE edit read, edit, read again, pay attention to your work it is what defines you as a writer/reporter etc. That sculpture is of a 1990 Dodge Daytona/Plymouth Laser give or take a year.
Anytime you can get a cop to laugh at you rather than shoot you, it's a good night.
happy to tell you Google paid each week on-line from home over $4000+ simply by operating merely on-line. Last month I actually have got paid $19523 simply by operating four weeks on-line. Its simply wonderful and my earnings ar currently far better than regular nine to five workplace job. This job is simply outstanding. attempt currently to induce additional money on-line from the small print here...... http://bit.ly/2mgS6mW
If this was done in the US, I would think that once they realize it's fake; it would get plowed down.
Canadian cops are sooo different than Americans! I'm moving to Canada!
I'll help you pack AND pay for your ONE-WAY ticket...
Load More Replies...Looks more like a early Supra than a DMC. It's just as fast as a DMC though.
Not everyone no. We all have French classes up until high school. But not everyone keeps up with it after that. I don't speak French. This was in Montreal, a French speaking province. No down votes necessary. :)
Load More Replies...French police officers with a sense of humor?? Incredible'! Impossible'!! ;-) PS. Isn't it a law that everything in that province has to be in French and English!! Book 'em, Danno!
And isn't it a law that ALL CARS HAVE TO BE OUT OF THE PLOW ZONE?
Load More Replies...it says "you did our evening" not "you made our night" though these mean practically the same thing, the translation itself needs to be accurate or folly ensues.
...it says 'you made our night' because 'you did our night' is weird. The verb 'faire' in French can be translated into either 'to make' or 'to do' depending on context. Clearly the context here is 'making someone's night'.
Load More Replies...That's rude. Oh, and also it's not "too", it's just *to
