Macro photography is something I enjoy doing in my free time. I work as a children photographer for almost 8 years and I love it.

I have always loved capturing the beauty of nature, especially in the small things.

Gorgeous photo. It looks like a painting. I love the richness of the color. How are you getting this effect? Do you use a filter in photoshop?

I would love to have seen this before you used the oil paint effect. I'm fairly certain that the flower is a type of Purple Coneflower, or Echinacea purpurea (at least a relative,) and while hybridization has resulted in some extremely beautiful and brilliant colors, the addition of the very Disney-like raindrops makes the image even less real. Macro photography is a great talent, requiring much patience and practice. I believe that if you continue to perfect it without the use of any effects you'll find that you really don't need them. Best wishes!

I would love to see this before you put it through Photoshop or whatever program you used. I would recommend that you perfect it without the use of any effects. I think you'll find that you really don't need them. I love the contrast of the abstract lichen and the symmetry of the flower. The colors are marvelous together! What is the blue flower, please, Dina, and where is it growing? Thanks.

Thank you very much dear Maggie. I'm really not sure what is the name of this flower. I took it while traveling in Kyrgyzstan a while ago.

This is spectacular, Dina! Do you mind if I ask about the equipment you use and your process?

I love that it's so simple. In my opinion, simplicity is the greatest beauty.

Don't you think the spider is the point, Elina?

I love that the spider has subtle color tones as the flower.

I love that the hairs on the stems are visible. I think you should concentrate on work in with the macro lens and less with the special effects. Just my opinion, of course. Best Wishes!
