Kids are often underestimated. We think they are too little to know anything. However, you if you spend more time with them you may soon be very surprised.
To prove it, let's share the best inventions that our kids came up with. You never know when it might turn into a real product!

My Son Tells Me He Made A Home Theater
This is actually really smart for when you have a room with too much light at night and doesn't let you sleep. I'm actually considering it.
Gotta give him credit :) a that is entertained by sitting in a box doesnt spend much time nagging the parents:)
Cool. :3 Would it be bad for his eyes though? :? Nice anime bed too. :)
Never Drop A Book On The Bath Again. My 8-Year-Old Daughter's Invention
One thing is still needed though, one more hook for a towel to dry your hands before touching the book again.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Clearly this girl had a necessity!

Its held on with damn zip ties, once he tries to push forward the zip ties will break and the kids going jugular first into the blades
Now all you need is a fat tire on the back, excellent for grip on a newly mowed lawn!
This Is How My Son Tracks Positions During Nascar
i admit i've called nascar fans dumb before, but this is actually some excellent creative problem solving.
I'm not even kidding, this is how the U.S. Navy tracks airplanes on the decks of its Aircraft Carriers, and its how we keep track of troop movements in the field. This "Sand Box" technique is quite valuable to understand the bigger pictures of what is going on. Kudos to him for this!
This kid is learning how to quickly process a constantly changing and fluid data set and organize it into useful information. Signs of a quick and fluid analytical mind. Encourage this as a parent.
yep, with a memory this good at this age, this kid'll have a bright future if you encourage it, maybe even being hired by NASCAR (if they even find this picture).

Turn it the other way around and it says MOM. A kid made it, so they get some creative license.
Load More Replies...I once made one out of paper, and it worked! Used a lot of paper though, but you can even change the angles!
My Girlfriend's 9-Year-Old Daughter: "I Invented This So I Don't Have To Stop Playing Videogames To Drink My Water". I've Dubbed It The "Pwning Pouch"
since im 10 yrs old ill try making my own invention too. but my creativity is kinda boring so i gotta try a lil hard
just my opinion, though... kinda unhealthy to sit long hours without getting up :\
This Kid Is Going Places
Yeah unfortunately a lot of these inventions are about making it easier to nothing but just sit and stare.
Load More Replies...that would be great if I had the flu and couldn't raise my arms comfortably.
He's going cross eyed is where he's going. That thing is like 2 inches away from his face. But if his eyes go at least he's close enough to smell the action.
Someone lied to you about the size of inches... 🍆
Load More Replies...Wow, these commenters are sure missing the point. One, he is not hurting his eyes any more or less that just using a screen. YOU are using a screen at this very moment. YOU are doing the very thing you are criticizing this kid for. Are you blind right now? Are you going blind? Smh
Brilliant
Says the person who is online like a zombie!!!! Haha
Load More Replies...Comments are hilarious. From one pic you've deduced that this child doesn't get exercise, is a zombie, isn't having a proper childhood or spending time outside which will lead to them getting sick from a pure immune system. Not sure if ya'll understand what a picture represents...
I wish I could upvote you millions of times until the shaming idiots go down, down, down.
Load More Replies...Phone Not Loud Enough? Natalie's Got You Covered
A lot of these are things you could find on there. But the fact the kids actually made them is great!
Load More Replies...Probably got it from the internet, I have seen a look of these diy phone speakers exactly like that one.
I'm saving this picture and doing this myself this kid's a genius and if it's saves you from having actually buy speakers, why not?
it works.. everyone made tin can telephones, even before there were smartphones :)

is she doesn't eat her crust she'll not grow up :-) (at least that's what my parent told me as a kid)
I was told that that's where all the bread nutrition was. if I don't eat the crust I don't get any nutrition. how is the darker outer side of the bread more nutritious it's all the same thing
Load More Replies...how these kids are supposed to learn f*****g concentrate, when they become online zombies at that age
Yeah, because watching a video while having a snack is SOOOO life-threatening for a young child. Smh. Smh all the way.
Load More Replies...I love how she is eating that sandwich. God forbid she just eat the sandwich intact-with two pieces of bread with meat/cheese in the middle. My kids do that all the time-with pizza too. They'll eat everything-just not together as it was intended.
My kid used to do that too, would dismantle every sandwich or would shred food until it looked like a pile of rubble and then proceed to eat like some squirrel, drove me to distraction!
Load More Replies...Except my eyesight is terrible so I won't be able to see the screen
Made A Spoon Clip So That Your Spoon Won't Fall Into Your Cereal/Soup
I'm just shocked at the amount of people who think u need to remove the tape in order to use the spoon lol
well i kinda would prefer something stable and not really wooden to hold on to
They finally started making something similar for Asian restaurants. You have to turn them over but still, it won't fall in as easily.: 31Jg5eX3EfL.jpg
This Kid Is Is Genius
Quick! Someone who knows an employee of Nintendo show said employee this pic so that they can hire this kid!

Or you could use a reflector strip or two, which is what people use here.

Damn, the newspaper hats are obviously out of fashion these days. ;) Nevertheless, any home-made hat, knitted, made from cards and etc. is awesome!
Or crocheted.... (Avid crocheter had to say it sry)

As someone who has a seriously stuffed up nose and throbbing headache because of allergies, I agree
Load More Replies...For me, allergies can strike at any time of the year. I've learned to squirt my nose with azelastine, fluticasone, and oxymetazoline, after which I shove wadded-up toilet paper up my nose.
This makes me want to give that poor little guy a hug. And a benedryl!
If he pulls it down a few inches, he'll have a respectable bow tie!
Balloon Powered Car, Ready To Roll At School Today
I made one before! Problem is that I can't blow balloons well at that time.
That is really cute I remember doing the same thing with bottles of Coke there's is a lot less messy
My Birthday Is July 4th , My Son Made Me A Cake!
Our Beautiful 3 Year Old Niece Invented This So The Pencil Would Not Roll Off The Table
I usually put it perpendicular from the close end of the table, but yeah, I also feel stupid, I could've just used some paper.
Load More Replies...Honestly, these kinds of people *cough jen cough* are out to look for things to deface. This kid just folded a piece of paper and BOOM! Jen. You. Just complained. Because a kid. Folded paper. *clap clap*
But sometimes when you constantly use it (or bite it) it'll roll

Saxton Made His Own Movie Theatre Today. For Those Who Can't Tell, It's A Lincoln Log Frame And His Phone Taped To The Bill Of A Hat
Wow Jen, It isn't about the phone or the logs. It is about the idea and exaction. In the future he will put the same critical thinking into everything he does. This is something to be praised and reworded because the thought that went into this.
Jen, i literally left, made an account and came back to specifically down vote your comment.
I don't get all these sanctimonious hypocrites...Watching cartoons or a movie on tv is okay but as soon as a kid watches something on a "technology device" they freak. We live in the age of technology, yet this child obviously has regular toys (Lincoln logs) that he also plays with so what's the problem? He showed creativity, ingenuity, problem solving, and "thinking outside the box". That's what should be focused on (and rewarded), not the fact that he has or is using a technology device.
**FOR THOSE WONDERING WHO JEN IS**- she's here spewing vile poison about children.
This is Saxton's mom. For those with positive feedback, thank you, he has read each and every one of these comments. For the rest of you, did it occur to you that these are photos pulled off of instagram? These kids didn't enter an invention contest and ask for your criticism. They don't even claim these to be actual inventions, just fun projects or ideas they had to make their moment in time easier for them. Did it occur to you that these kids may be reading your comments? Our family was excited when we first saw this post and were tagged by friends and family who saw Saxton's pic. It was fun for all of 5 minutes until he sat down, looked at all the other photos and started reading the comments coming in. These kids didn't ask for your comments but many of you have done a great job of stifling their creativity by making them not want to share their ideas again in fear of criticism they didn't even ask for or want to hear. (read subsequent post)
I am so MAD about the people blabbering on about kids and devices! They exist to make the universe a better place! Also: Phones emit harmless photons and weak, harmless radio waves. No one will die.
To answer some of your comments: Saxton is a family name that goes back a hundred years so we think it's pretty cool. Don't care if you don't like it. He is now 14 and he's not dead. He's kicking around pretty great. He's his school mascot, started his own lawn mowing company this summer, took over one of our business warehouses by building a half pipe and several skate jumps and now has half the neighborhood/school kids skating on our property and still loves to build and take apart anything he can get his hands on. Don't worry about him, he is turning out just perfectly.
Your son sounds like a great kid, it's such a shame some people feel the need to be so spiteful online. It sounds like you've got the right attitude though, it's great to see a parent encouraging their child's creativity. Please tell Saxton not to pay any attention to those saying mean things, they are just saddos with nothing better to do with their time than sit at a keyboard criticising children! I think his "invention " is great and I'm glad to hear he's still creating!
Load More Replies...I am definitely not trying to insult this because it's an awesome idea but it looks a bit close to his eyes, personally it would aggravate my visual migraines but if it's not bad for his eyes then that's a bonus!
He Says, But I'm Not In The Rain Mom
Love it! It reminds me of something that happened to a friend of mine as a kid. He wanted to go surfing but his dad told him he couldn't go because it was raining (Smh). So my friend said don't worry dad we'll surf under the pier so we don't get wet. And the dad said okay!! Lol.
I've Never Seen A Swing Quite Like This Before, Charlie
Why? It may not be "perfect" but look how happy he is of his invention. That's what it's all about! He's just adorable.
Load More Replies...This is really awesome, but isn't this swing too close to the verandah's edge?
I wondered the same thing. DId he vomit or something?
Load More Replies...Aw haha this reminds me of a swing that my grandad made for me when I was a baby, it was a chair with loads of rope around it so I couldn't fall out ☺️
He wanted a swing so he made one. You got to love the determination and creativity!
How To Watch A Movie On A Bunk Bed
They are good to put away books and secret magazines, right?
Load More Replies...Same! My phone seems to hit me in the face a lot more than you'd imagine, even though I don't hold it right above me when I'm using it lying down, it still hits me in the face! Maybe one of these inventor kids could make some sort of ceiling attachment for it, like the "stop the book from falling in the bath" thing ☺️
Load More Replies...Just make sure it doesn't fall on your face- it hurts a lot. Trust me I have experience lol
I hung a pic of my mom there when I was homesick at my grandparents'
It Took Me A Minute To Comprehend That My 5yo Had Invented A New Hands-free Ipad Technology
Yes, but he wanted to lay down (on his back). So the stand does not help much then..
Load More Replies...Lazy people do find the quickest and easiest way to find solutions, because of their laziness. So they are actually smart!

OK, so it's from a kit If you MUST point that out, can you at least refrain from using the word "stupid" when describing a KID'S efforts at something?

A Kid Made This Fidget Spinner Using A Yo-yo Wheel, Toothpicks, A Rubber Band, And Hot Glue
At first glance, I thought this was some sort of barrette in someone's hair...
I don't mean this in a negative way at all, but how does this work? The only fidget spinners I've seen are like a triangle shape...
😯 as a yo-yoer I'm just worried that the glue will never come of those bearings.
Beta Testing Her "Carrot Carrier"
Linda Gulley, what happened in your life to make you so hostile to children? Calling a child asinine is simply cruel.

I feel like the weight of just one of my legs would break that :( good idea though! In fact I've seen similar chairs in care homes, they're not like normal wheelchairs, they're like a normal armchair, slightly reclined, with castors so they can be moved around easily.

Mini Crossbows Made Of Hair Clip (my Kids Sold Out For $10 Each. Their Friends Loved It.)

My girl friends son got tired of having to pick up the toothpaste , open the cap, squeeze toothpaste on his toothbrush, put cap back on, put paste away and then start brushing his teeth. So he nailed it to the wall with the cap down, Easy right? It was for him for one more day. His sister left the cap off, paste down a wall on to the floor. He said, " well back to the drawing board". 8 years old at the time. lol
Laziness leads to different needs and different needs lead to creativity! But "Back to the drawing board"... He might become one of the greatest free-practising inventors the world knows! :)

Load More Replies...It's sad to see so many little kids with their tablets and mobile phones.
It's been proven that for kids under 3-4 it's detrimental to long term memory and problem solving.
Load More Replies...All the "inventions" with mobile phones are extremely harmful for the body. Either they are too close to the eyes or in fixed positions so that limits neck movement and can cause neck strain and more serious spine problems. I think atleast TV gives some degree of mobility atleast. Parents please discourage such mobile use.
Many videos or games on cellphones are tailored to be educational and helpful for a child to grow. Please think about the mattee before you complain about it.
Load More Replies...It's rather disheartening, really, to see how many VERY young children are being robotised with electronic gadgets. I guess my favorite had to be the young lady who came up with the "book saver" so she could read in the bath.
So many of these inventions are centered upon cell phones. That disturbs me.
It's a shame that so many of these inventions involve using tablets/phones. Children shouldn't be using them, in my opinion. Mine definitely wont be. Parents think parenting is just sitting them in front of a screen, so sad.
