We love a good horror film as much as the next person, but there’s something about knowing the story is fictional that makes it a tad bit less frightening. We have no reason to actually fear Pennywise the Clown or Freddy Krueger because we know they’re not real (or at least that’s what we remind ourselves). But if someone tells us a scary story about a paranormal experience one recently had or throws out some creepy facts, we’ll be sleeping with the lights on for weeks.
But we know y’all secretly love scary facts, dear pandas. And if you’re interested in expanding your knowledge of the dark and disturbing, you’re in luck. Today, we’re listing some of the creepiest and most terrifying facts shared on the Horror Facts Instagram account. From disturbing film trivia to photos of real-life nightmares, this list is full of photos that might make you want to turn the lights on before heading to bed tonight.
Keep reading to find an interview we were lucky enough to receive from horror expert and creator of the Knifepoint Horror podcast, Soren Narnia. Be sure to upvote the photos that have you feeling spooked, and feel free to share any more creepy facts you know in the comments section.

Unbelievable Reunion Story
How is this creepy? It’s rather a beautiful testimony of a mother’s resilience.
I found the fact that there were 29 other children living with the wrong families very creepy
Load More Replies...Wow I was born in 1988 and I couldn't imagine spending that long away from my parents and then suddenly finding them again!
I remember this story. Why has there been no book or film written about her story? Even had she not ultimately found her son, she had an impact upon so many lives. Finding him, after doing so much for so many, is the ultimate frosting on the cake for book, film, or tv special. But, I find nothing other than the news reports of the time. Certainly, this is a story worth telling in more detail. Why hasn’t it been?
I was just about to search for a book too. So disappointed
Load More Replies...Speaking of sleeping with the lights on, one of the creepy facts about dreams is that you are paralyzed while dreaming to prevent you from acting out your dreams. You can also experience nightmares while you are awake, in the form of hallucinations that can scare you with things that aren't real.
Mirror of Menace
Text at bottom of sign reads: "You are looking at the most dangerous animal in the world. It alone of all the animals that ever lived can exterminate (and HAS) entire species of animals. Now it has achieved the power to wipe out all life on Earth."
Except that's not actually true. Chimpanzees are driving the Red Colobus Monkey to extinction, and there are many other examples of species outcompeting one another.
Load More Replies...reminds me of "The Most Dangerous Game" short story from the 1920s
Why are humans like this? Did we have a terrifying common enemy in the distant past that's caused us to be so hostile? Or is it just pure greed. I'll put my money on the latter, people have been murdered over a £5 debt before.
Everyone says truth is stranger than fiction, but did you know that truth is also scarier than fiction? Don’t get us wrong, Stephen King is our favorite writer, too, and the film adaptations of his stories are always incredibly captivating.
But they don’t usually make us feel unsafe in our homes or unsettled while walking home in the dark. However, some horrifying facts on this list might make us walk a little faster with the keys between our fingers.
Forty Days at Sea

The Number One Site for Scary Facts
The Horror Facts Instagram page says it’s been rated the number one scary page on the site, and for good reason. The account has amassed nearly 83K followers and posted almost 1.5K pics featuring spooky, disturbing, and creepy facts.
And while information about scary encounters that happen today can be circulated online incredibly fast, spooky facts about historical figures or Halloween traditions of generations ago might not always be common knowledge.
So, suppose you devour every documentary Netflix makes about serial killers and unsolved mysteries. In that case, this creepy, fun fact list might provide you with some inspiration for what to scour the internet for information about next.
Unbelievable Calm Under Pressure
There's more to this story. He was actually flown a DAY after the accident from South Dakota to North Memorial Hospital in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota. They were still able to attach the arms after a significant delay between the accident and the replantation. Sadly, after several years, he ultimately did lose one of his arms, but if I ever lose a limb, take me to North because they are experts at that surgery.
Thank you for elaborating! That's really amazing.
Load More Replies...Waited in the bathtub to avoid staining the carpet - imagine being that considerate after having just lost both arms!
My Uncle lost both arms back in 1967 in an accident at a paper mill. He lived to be 99 and drove a car, tractor and did most everything with his feet and with the aid of artificial limbs. Amazing how humans can adapt.
Your uncle sounds like such a legend! Thank you for sharing his story! It's incredible how people can preserve and strive despite horrific injury. What an incredible man!
Load More Replies...That’s absolutely insane. Good for him! What a survivor.
What a blessing. He saved his own life and some how the doctors were able to save his arms. He must have been a thoughtful boy. Not wanting to get blood on the floor or carpet, he gets into the tub. Now, honestly, how many of us would think of that.

Sad to have to put herself through that, though. If you hear something often enough, you believe it.
She knew what she looked like and made it work for her. That is strength and determination to provide for her kids at all costs. Unlike the pampered princesses of the world today. Half of them are unrecognizable without their facial paint jobs.
Load More Replies...She was very pretty when she was young, there are photographs of her before her features became affected by acromegaly. She changed appearance because she had a tumour on her pituitary gland.
Thank you for letting everyone know that she had an illness. :) She was for sure very brave.
Load More Replies...She may have looked "ugly" to most people seeing her picture, but she was a beautiful soul and loved her children with all her heart. She looks pretty awesome to me!
Acromegaly - usually a benign tumour on the pituitary which makes the bones continue to grow - thus the facial bones as they are.
I don’t regard her as ugly. She is simply, what we used to describe as, looking somewhat ‘manish’
In today's money, she made over a million dollars. https://allthatsinteresting.com/mary-ann-bevan
Against All Odds
Not unbelievable in Florida. Everything is possible there. Birds fly backwards and it rains crystal meth.
Yep, that's a screenshot from Jaws 4: The Revenge. (I refuse to admit to having watched that movie).
Load More Replies...I just got back from a beach vacation with the fam. The water was very clear, as it hadn't rained in a while to put sediment in the water. For four days straight, you could watch a large shark swim slowly up and down the beach, back and forth. Mind you, it didn't seem like it wanted to bother anybody. People were swimming in the water, and they would just kind of get out of it's way when it would go past. But the flags were yellow, and there were no alerts by the authorities. The only warnings the swimmers had were the other people on the beach pointing and waving at them. *Never trust the yellow flags!* I've seen a man die in a rip current during a yellow flag.
Rip currents are a lot more deadly for humans than sharks. But because there's less blood, they don't get the media-coverage.
Load More Replies...Personally, bull shark is the scariest shark species, and they can enter fresh water too
Agreed!! They scare me. I believe the shark that inspired the story of Jaws was actually a bull shark that swam up a creek in New Jersey and killed a boy. Or something like that?

Load More Replies...Behind the Mic of the Knifepoint Horror Podcast
To gain insight for this article, we contacted a real-life horror enthusiast, creator, producer, and performer of the Knifepoint Horror podcast, Soren Narnia. When it comes to what inspired Soren to create this spooky show in the first place, this is what he told Bored Panda:
“I started my podcast mostly as a way to work around the gatekeepers and bring the stuff I’d written directly and easily to an audience. What I’ve come to like most about it is the sense of giving someone a lift during their day, bringing a little comfort food into a rough world—and one thing I’ve learned is that horror can totally be comfort food.”
He also explained what kind of spooky stories he likes to share on the podcast: “All my stories are fictional, but the fears I write about are always very real,” Soren explained. “I’m trying to come up with a slightly different take on traditional horror tropes every time, and unless I think of that new take, I try not to write at all.”
Soren also shared: “I think maybe my favorite story I’ve done in recent years might be ‘The Smoke Child,’ which is about an old legend possibly/maybe emerging into the modern day to wreak havoc,” Soren shared. “It’s got plenty of fear-of-what’s-out-there-in-the-dark stuff, which is the only really scary thing I’ve experienced personally—the very traditional and ever-persistent trepidation of not knowing what the dark holds.”
When Smiles Make All The Difference
A man prevented an estimate of 160 suicides on Sydney suicide spot by smiling at them, offering to talk and inviting them for tea, his name is Don Ritchie. How many times a stranger's genuine smile brighten your day? Many, for me.
This is why I'm making it my personal mission to smile at at least 3 people every day. maybe it'll help, maybe it won't. But I'll do it anyway.
Load More Replies...Very sad, we adults should definitely smile and laugh more. However, please do not put such a pressure and threat on others, who are NOT responsible for quite the selfish decision of another person. A person who actually commits such a tragic deed has it all planned out before pretty well and there are much deeper issues at hand than the lack of smiles.
It's not a selfish act. It's a desperation act of a very sick individual
Load More Replies...There’s a really good doc by the UKs channel 4 about a man looking for the stranger who saved him from suicide. The link is here, sorry it may be uk only https://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-stranger-on-the-bridge There’s also a news article covering it here https://amp.theguardian.com/society/2014/jan/30/man-reunited-stranger-suicide-attempt-london-bridge We all have the power to help in some small way - you never know it could be the difference between life and death.
Who's to say that someone smiled at him but he was so determined to die he went anyway?
It's also possible that he was so depressed he walked with his head down and didn't see anyone smile because of that. I'm very depressed and I rarely go out and when I do I never look up at people, just have my head down. So even if someone smiled at me I wouldn't know
Load More Replies...I like to smile at people all the time, especially if they look sad, because when I was depressed I realised how little people smiled. I am in hospital a lot and always smile at staff and other patients and often the people smile back and then when I see them a little later they are still looking happier. I've had staff say that after I smiled at them and they smiled back, they felt happier for the rest of their shift. This is what makes me smile more. Seeing this post makes me want to do it more.
This is so incredibly sad. We as a society need to do all we can to help one another. The smallest gesture can mean so much.

Not sure tragic is the term I'd use. I prefer using the word tragic when it's a tragedy and not some arrogant feat to tame nature.

We were also curious about Soren’s take on why we’re so drawn to horror stories. “I’m 90% certain the reason we love horror is because it gives us a safe brush with death that we can jump back from safely and laugh about later. If that’s not the reason, then the human mind is even stranger than I think,” he told Bored Panda.
Soren is also a fan of haunted houses, so if any of you pandas out there stage haunted house attractions, take note. “I have to say I’m totally digging three things: The laser effect that makes it seem like you’re up to your waist in mist; anytime you have to walk through the interior of a spooky bus; the rotating tunnel effect, which messes with my balance every time. But can we give clowns an amnesty for just one year, maybe...?”

Hidden In Plain Sight
Usually, when a person looses one sense the others become sharper. So that person must have heard (and smelled!) something at least... also if one moves out he would tell their parents and not just leave, no?
There's such a thing as nose blindness where you get so accustomed to a smell or smells that eventually you stop smelling them. She was a hoarder so the smell of other things probably just all blended together and eventually she couldn't smell anything unusual. As for the moving out and telling your parents part, that would depend on the kind of relationship that you have with them.
Load More Replies...I think it was just a plain case of denial, a psychological mechanism of coping with pain, just like hoarding, possibly?
A friendly PSA about down votes. Down votes are used as a reporting tool for users to report hate, harrasment, or spam, and get people banned, sometime permanently. They are not dislike buttons. BP does not monitor the comments down voted, it is automated and people who get downvoted will get a message saying the account is banned due to suspicious activity. If a comment is not what you believe, or unpopular just keep scrolling or comment back, but save the down votes for the accounts that really deserve it.
This is just incredibly sad on so many levels - also shows she had very few, if anyone, to really check in on or care for her...
I'm curious about how a blind person was able to safely maneuver around her messy home. She's lucky a mountain of junk didn't crush her to death so her skeleton could be with her son's.

It's worth noting that Albert Fish did his deeds back in the "good old days" before all of the things that people like to blame for "destroying society". And he committed all of his crimes back when they handed out the death penalty like it was going out of style.
The Psychology Behind Our Love for Horror
Most of us don’t go out seeking horrifying experiences in our daily lives. Still, when it comes to the media we consume, many of us love true crime documentaries that are too unbelievable to be true and horror films that scare us to turn out the lights.
Just look at the Jeffrey Dahmer series that hit Netflix and soon became the streaming site’s second-most-watched series ever. But why do we have such an insatiable appetite for spooky stories and scary facts?
According to psychologists, several common explanations exist for why we are drawn to the scary and unsettling. Horror scholar Mathias Clasen believes that part of our fascination can be traced back to the fact that our ancient ancestors experienced constant danger in the environments that they lived in.
They were required to always be vigilant to stay alive, allowing us to evolve with excellent threat-detection systems. While most of us don’t encounter real threats daily, it can be fun to stimulate that ancient part of us that did and live vicariously through other characters. We might enjoy considering how we would react in their situations and wondering if we could make it out alive.

Load More Replies...How Are We Affected by the Horror Media?
One of the earliest psychological theories used to explain why we love being scared so much is Dolf Zillmann’s excitation transfer theory. Essentially, this theory states that horror media increases our levels of physiological arousal due to the fear that it causes, and then after the viewing experience has ended, the relief we experience causes a euphoric high. There are studies to confirm this theory as well, at least for men.
According to Glenn G. Sparks’s article “The Relationship Between Distress and Delight in Males’ and Females’ Reactions to Frightening Films,” the more distressed male viewers became while watching a scary movie, the happier they felt after finishing the film. Catharsis is a powerful thing, and if you’ve been sitting in a movie theater building up tension for two and a half hours, it might feel pretty good to finally know that you made it out safely and unscathed and you have nothing to fear anymore.

If standing 1 meter/"yard" away from the N. or S. POLE, someone would only move 3.14 meters in 24 hours (π x D = circumference). At this location, a person would only turn in the tiniest circle once in 24 hours.
That explains the whole "I'll stop the world and melt with you" thing.
Sound like we wouldn't know what hit us, which is probably the best way.
To me, the more interesting question is "What could cause the Earth to suddenly stop spinning?"

Another potential reason we love horror is the idea of exploring the dark side of humanity. We are naturally curious about what we don’t understand, and it can be fascinating to hear a story that is so disturbing we could have never dreamed it up ourselves.
Stories of ghosts, ghouls, murderers, and evil in general are captivating because, thankfully, most of us have no experiences with those things in real life that lead us to believe we should actually be scared of them. They don’t usually feel real; they just feel excited.
Double Trouble in 1783
nowadays we'd pick this up on a scan and offer the mom an option or two. Unless of course you live in a third world state like florida.
Can you imagine being the doctor at the time delivering this baby - (or whoever it was delivered him, midwife, family member etc) seeing a neck come out first with a head and no body... before the second head with attached body came out? Not in any way mocking or trying to be rude but I'd imagine that doctor had somewhat of a heart attack during that process. Thinking you'd just delivered a neck with a head that's crying etc but no body... I think that's pretty heart attack inducing.
If the second head was functional and there was a brain independent to the first one, then we aren't talking about a boy, we are talking about two.
Not trying to start another thing but, yes! And if this is possible, what if the “brother” had been a sister? Would that kid have gender identity questions? We don’t know enough about anything to be so steadfast in forcing people to fit our expectations. Just thought this example made a point worth exploring.

Creepy Childhood Throwback
The photo isn't the scary incident...it's a witch scene
Load More Replies...The episode featured Margaret Hamilton (in character as the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz.) This photo is unrelated to the actual episode.
Unfortunately, the airing of that episode was soon after the release of the Wizard of Oz, and children were still traumatized by the images of Margaret Hamilton’s Wicked Witch of the West character, and showing her being able to have an affect on the world of Sesame Street—combined with the “ticking time bomb” trope in the form of the Wicked Witch losing her broom and threatening to turn Big Bird into a feather duster if she doesn't get it back in time—so I can understand the fears. It’s a shame they didn’t use Fred Roger’s approach to the character and this fear of her.

People React to Horror Differently
Not everyone is equally excited by horror stories and scary facts, though. Some of us are more drawn to frightening tales than others. Usually, people high in sensation-seeking are likelier to enjoy a horror film than those who often avoid novel, risky, or intense experiences.
People with lower empathy levels also usually appreciate a horrifying tale more than those who are highly empathetic. That doesn't mean that empathic people hate scary movies or that only psychopaths like watching them, but the experience of seeing a frightening film can be more painful for people who quickly put themselves into the characters’ shoes.
Future or Final Journey?
The purpose of this is to allow humans to end their suffering if they are terminally ill. This is not frivolous at all. We "put animals to sleep" when they have something terminal and/or are suffering incurably. The argument from the relevant advocacy groups says that humans should have the same right, viz., to die with dignity. Personally, if I had pancreatic cancer, I'd be happy to get a fast way out.
I've often argued this. When my dog's kidneys started to fail, he was in pain and his quality of life was zero and we had him put to sleep to end his suffering. At that time, it wasn't legal to do the same with a person in the same painful, no quality of life situation. My state (Victoria) has made it legal now, with strict rules for when someone can access medically assisted suicide. it's a great step forward.

She begged to be given an overdose of morphine but the nurses had to set the dosage on the pump and lock it away. I’m sure they wanted to help but they just weren’t allowed to. In the end she refused water and dehydrated over 6 long nightmarish days till she passed. To anyone who opposes euthanasia, I hope that you never have to go through what she did, but I’ll fight you all the way if you try to stop people ending their lives and force them to suffer like that.
Swiss here - this is BS, look here https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/sarco-suicide-capsule--passes-legal-review--in-switzerland/46966510 In Switzerland we do have assisted suicide so that terminally ill people (verified by 2 doctors) can die in dignity and peace by their own free will surrounded by their loved ones. Here, we don't make dying people's last days a terrible, painful nightmare because of some misunderstood morality. Edit: grammar
My first husband had had 3 heart attacks, his diabetes had caused multi organ failure but his brain was still working. He was suffering and absolutely terrified about dying. He pulled out his iv's several times because of his pain. His body was dying but his brain refused to accept it. After hours of this his daughter who was a nurse arrived to say her last goodbyes to him and he refused to see her. I talked to her and said wasn't there anything that could be done to let him pass peacefully. She said yes but she didn't know the doctors here so we'd have to ask his doctor together. His doctor agreed with us and my soulmate was given a large dose of morphine which was enough to calm him down so we could tell him how much we loved him and I told him how grateful I was for him coming into my life. Then the doctor gave him another large dose of morphine which sent him to sleep and he passed away peacefully.
I'm very sorry Sammie. I'm glad he had peace at the end, and was surrounded by love.

Having worked in hospice in the US, what many of you are describing are deaths where the pain was poorly managed. A hospice has to have a good medical director who is not afraid to use the full gamut of pain management. The doctors I have known have used morphine and fentanyl to ease people's pain. I have been at the bedside where people were dying and not suffering nearly 100% of the time. Morphine does not kill a person. It allows them to calm down and release into the dying process, and it is a process. In states where assisted suicide is now a possibility, you have to move there and live there long enough to have the law be applicable to you and you have to have your mental faculties to initiate the chemical processes to kill yourself (push the buttons). Which means you may have to go sooner than when your body is actively dying. Therefore, I think having someone who explicitly knows you like a loved one and is clear that you want your pain 100% managed and a good hospice and palliative care organization is a better situation.
I too worked hospice in US for 30 years then trained in palliative care just for that reason

Where did they get them? Who were they? Did the familys of the deceased know?
I've never bought this. Skeletons disarticulate once the soft tissue has gone, unless someone goes to the trouble of carefully wiring them together like a medical specimen. So assuming someone did all that, then applied artificial decaying flesh, wouldn't it be simpler just to use manufactured props by that point? The story sounds like an 'oOoOh So CrEePy' attention grab to generate free advertising to me.
I agree 100% also, if that was a real body in the scene above, the smell, and decaying flesh would be unmistakable.

skeletons are not decaying bodies; just bones... Anyway, I wouldn't want a skeleton in a pool with me
Load More Replies...There are so many creator interviews on this FFS: Articulated skeletons from medical supply houses are cheap. Are some of the warehouse's skeletons unethically sourced? Maybe. Most are there by the person's consent while they are still alive. All the "soft tissue" was added after the fact via special affects. And real skeletons, from the same sources, are used in all sorts of media because yes, making fake bone look real on camera is really, really HARD. And the harder a skill, the more money the artist deserves. Paying for fake realistic skeletons would have bankrupted many, many films including the classic Poltergeist.

Contrary to what many might assume, consuming horror media can be therapeutic. According to one study, people who frequently watched horror movies were less psychologically distressed by the pandemic.
People who were fans of the apocalyptic horror subgenre also felt more prepared for the additional waves of pandemic. Apparently, people who are familiar with being exposed to horror and fear develop the ability to cope with stressful and anxiety-inducing situations.

I'm a very strong competitive swimmer. But in the stormy ocean I struggled fully clothed. A US marine happened to be nearby. He jumped in. And drug Me to a nearby rock jetty and we both got out. The Excitement of Being Scared, According to Neuroscience
According to Irving Biederman, a specialist in cognitive neuroscience and a Professor of Neuroscience at USC, being scared can be exciting and addictive. “We like novelty, something that departs from our everyday experience,” he told USC News. “Some of the attraction of being scared comes from the deviation of having a new experience that we know is safe.”
But we have to understand that what we’re witnessing isn't real. Otherwise, we won’t gain any enjoyment from it. “Your amygdala will give you a fear response, an avoidance response to stay away from something legitimately frightful,” Biederman explained. “So, for a child, going to one of these haunted houses could be truly scary.”

The Modern Manifestations of Our Fears
What we find most frightening also provides some insight into our societies. Tok Thompson, an anthropology and communication associate professor at USC Dornsife, explained that each generation and culture will create monsters most relevant to their fears. “There’s an interesting role these monsters play in shaping our cultures,” he told USC News.
“And people are constantly reinventing these stories to talk about what they fear and are haunted by,” Thompson notes. In recent years, evil robots and internet monsters, like Slender Man and shows like Black Mirror, have been on the rise. “When these new monsters come up, that shows you people aren’t too sure about some of this new technology, that maybe there is something to be frightened about.”

My theory is that he got neglected or abused by his parents. Was taken away by CPS (because his nails and hair were cut) but the parents fought to get him back home. They than hit him until his skull broke. Considering the bloat on his hands and feet they treid to drown his body but because of the gassing it didn't work so they hid him in the forest. The parents saw the news but didn't have any care to say it's their child. They didn't say it's theirs because the investigators would have eventually found out that the parents killed him.
No CPS in 1957. Children in the US were still basically the chattel of their father. If I remember my research correctly, there had only been either 2 or 3 cases of parents being prosecuted for abusing their children until the early 1960's in the US. If you were a child, you were the properly of your father.

According to this forensic guy, he thinks it has to do with more serial killers actually being identified as serial killers, and not just one-time murderers. Load More Replies...Wait a second! You mean to tell me that tis danger noodle can be found in a country that is not Australia? I. Am. Quite outraged. Actually.
I sang danger noodle to the tune of Wonder Woman while reading this 😂
Load More Replies...I can’t be sure but I think that is a boomslang or vine snake, both in South Africa. A Boomslang is afrikaans for tree snake, if that photo is a boomslang, it is a female
Apparently the skin of this snake is an ingredient in Polyjuice Potion
This is also what a particular rat poison does to the unlucky rat who consumes it. What a horrible way to die - for anybody. :(
Rat poison is an anticoagulant, which is exactly what warfarin is in people. The thought behind it in rats is that they'll bump into something and internally bleed to death. Not pour blood out of every orifice.

Did yall know there was nothing in the nursery remember telling us he was an egg. If I'm wrong or it was said somewhere else please correct me

Creepy Concealment Tactics
Ancient Head Shapes Mystery
This was done by deliberate manipulation of infant skulls. The bones forming your skull aren't tightly connected at birth. Mothers would strap their baby's head to a wooden board with a very tight cloth to force the skull shape to change-they considered this appearance to be desirable. It's not a birth defect or aliens, it was child abuse.
Types of devices used by the Maya to deform the skull. image-2017...70e465.gif
This is something that has been practiced all over the world. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artificial_cranial_deformation
This existed in France too, until right before WWI ( look up déformation toulousaine)
Oh yeah, long heads were a thing in the past. Sounds like the ones who make their pupils bigger.
Apocalypse: The Not-So-Grand Finale
This isn't a fact, it's an assumption based on certain conditions of a possible war.
It still baffles me how some people in charge think it's a good idea to bomb the F out of the planet which will make it uninhabitable for EVERYONE, including them. How is that winning?
"If I'm going down, I'm taking as many of you with me as I can". Basically this. It's not particularly hard to imagine that someone like Putin would roll down that road.
Load More Replies...That is not a nuclear war prediction, that is a doomsday device prediction.
Exactly, what with the the existences of "tactical nukes", nuclear war means something else in this day and age.

How many would likely die from suicide from moping out? I have always said if certain death for humanity is coming that is not how I want to die, I would rather die by my own hand
Cryo Dreams on Ice
Imagine if it works. The future will be populated by rich a$$holes who look like death.
There was a Golden Girls episode about this type of thing. Rose made the others promise that they would get their heads frozen. They wake up around the kitchen table and Dorothy comments that they looked like a reunion of Henry VIII's wives.
HAHAHAHA I've only seen a handful of episodes (live airings when I was wee) and some clips but I really think I should watch it now.
Load More Replies...Supposing this really worked... what do you do when you wake up and you're just a head? Are they supposed to attach it to a robot body or do a head transplant? I have so many questions but also if I ever end up as just a head someone please put me out of my misery lol
Maybe future people will take reference to "Futurama" regarding this thematic.
Load More Replies...The story that Walt Disney was cryroginically preserved has been debunked. However, they did freeze a Charlie Goodfellow.
You can get something similar for free. Let Jesus into your life and you'll be revived. Absolutely.
Living Without a Heartbeat
according to the internet, thanks to a new mechanical device that allowed the blood to flow continuously through his body (hence no pulse), the man has died some time later due to the underlying condition but was conscious and speaking for some time (as in days, not minutes). Basically it's not a spooky story, it's an amazing story about medical innovations

Future Proofing Lives
In Isaac Asimov's novels, there were the Spacers - human colonists who got unnaturally long lifespans due to living in luxury and on planets without diseases. They eventually became hostile to Earth and turned into its oppressors... until their civilisation stagnated and was overcome by the Settlers - a second wave of colonizers that avoided the mistakes of the past (that had led to the rise of the Spacers).
This is something of a paradox. If people are able to live to be 1000 years old and people keep breeding as they are, then there will be global shortages of food, water, medicine and housing. This will lead to people dying younger and so, few if any, will actually make it to 1000.
You just know this anti aging technology will only benefit the very richest and most powerful people in the world. It wouldn't be wasted on the working classes as there is no shortage of potental workers. Instead you will have people like Musk and Putin living for hundreds of years.. a scary thought hey! :(
Considering the willow project, I don't think I want to know what the world is going to look like in a thousand years

Nonsense... Tim Curry was born in 1946 and played Pennywise in 1990...
No, Tim Curry and Tim almost looking similar at the time they played Pennywise in IT, not their ages!
Load More Replies...I always thought Tim's Pennywise was way scarier than Bill's. Sorry Bill.
Tim's was much scarier. I cannot put my finger on why exactly, but he was.
Load More Replies...Nope. That photo of Tim is from 1975 - it's him as the Priest in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. He didn't play Pennywise until 1990 (or 89, depending on when it was filmed).
...useless trivia powers activate on that one. No one look at my large collection of Tim Curry VHS movies please.
Load More Replies...Tim looked older than that photo when he played in the movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Dark Web Secrets Revealed
Don't worry, this is just a myth. It's not technically possible because in order to access the dark web you have to use Tor, and Tor is far too slow to support livestreaming. You can certainly buy snuff films and torture porn, but Red Rooms are a myth.
Load More Replies...Yet there is no legible evidence they actually exist. I wish people would stop peddling this ridiculous lie as a 'FACT.' Oh and first time I've heard of the Russian Mafia being involved. I guess that's to keep this 'fact' up to date with worldwide sentiment therefore making it seem more believable.
It's actually easy to disprove this one, just use Tor (the dark web browser) for an hour. It'll become very obvious very quickly that it's so slow a Red Room broadcast would be impossible.
Load More Replies...Wasn’t the place where the black widows were trained called the red room?
Just a little reminder to ruin your day: the place that was Black Widow was called the Red Room. Make of that as you will.

If there are satanic symbols (whatever is considered 'satanic symbols') there must have been witches... right. ||| Iˋm sorry, but it is annoying in the long run to keep hearing/reading about how satanism and witchcraft/sorcery are associated. - Witchcraft is a pagan natural religion. The connection with satanism is a stubborn remnant from the time of the witch hunts.
Witches do not worship Satan. Satan is the Christian god of evil. Witches are pagan.
WHAT?!! I lived in Delaware my whole life and have never heard of this place.

Behind the Curtain Reality
False. There is no truth to this claim, but it had been copied and pasted over and over again. Time to stop.
It's just like the "nobody dies at Disneyworld" thing that claims nobody can be declared dead at the theme park....yeah people aren't declared dead there but it's not because of some weird Disney rule, it's because typically it's a doctor that declares someone dead and doctors tend to be at hospitals.
Load More Replies...I’m not American, but I’m pretty sure informing authorities; police, coroner etc. would take precedence over a theme park’s wishes.
I like how this says "When" an employee dies wearing the suit, instead of "If." To me this implies that wearing the costumes regularly causes employee deaths, which is both horrifying and hilarious (but only because it's not true.) 😂
Nobody has ever died at Disney. They transport bodies off-premises before pronouncing death
Snopes debunked this, although there is some trickyness to it. Regardless though there has been people who have been declared dead at Disneyland and Disneyworld.

Or, if you rotate the camera, a normal cross. With bits on the side that make it not a cross.
You fool, don't you know it's the side bits that make it not a cross that are the most powerful for attracting evil spirits?? ;)
Load More Replies...A house can't be in the shape of an upside-down cross, because it depends purely on where you are looking down on it. You might as well say the Pentagon is in the shape of an upside-down pentagon.
oh wow, it IS in the shape of an upside-down pentagon!
Load More Replies...Nonsense, when you see it from another perspective it is no longer an upside down cross!
yes, with their doctorates in the paranormal from spooks-R-us university.
Load More Replies...Even it it did resemble an upside down cross. The upside down cross is not s satanic symbol. It has no biblical/Christian meaning whatsoever.
Actually it does have a Christian meaning. The upside down cross is the Cross of St. Peter, who was crucified upside down. The Pope's chair has it on the back.
Load More Replies...A ton of churches around the world have an upside down cross shape if you look at them from the correct angle.
Half of the "facts" in this article were either lies or misinformation. Many of these statements were already proved to be false. If only the author of this article did some more research.
Yup. The Red Room one in particular is a common urban legend that anyone who has ever used the dark web before can confirm is just impossible with current technology.

However when you present these entertaining bits as facts it would be prudent to do at least SOME checking if those facts are actual facts and the provided details factually correct. I guess if you find the individual entry to be wrong but too good to pass you could still bring it with a respective editorial note to be incorrect.
