In the world of unrealistic standards and Photoshop mania, real beauty is a breath of fresh air. And while some share their unedited selfies on Instagram, Olga Kamenetskaya creates gorgeous dolls that look almost real.

Olga is a Ukranian artist who started repainting dolls as a hobby, but it later turned into her profession. She takes mass-produced dolls, such as Monster High girls or Barbies, and turns them into totally new, unique and one-of-the-kind dolls. They each have little "flaws," like real people have, which she includes by not only repainting but also modifying dolls' shapes and working with wigs. “I don’t like when the new face of the doll is ideal and perfectly symmetrical, it makes it lifeless,” Olga told Vogue. “I always deliberately leave some flaw that may not be noticeable to everyone, but [gives] the doll invisible charisma. Perhaps, this flawed beauty is the message that my dolls carry.”

Below you can find some of the amazing "flawed" beauties by Olga Kamenetskaya.

She uses different types of lino-cutters and sandpapers to change the form of the lips.

Not the same doll. The lips are completely different. Makeup cannot change the shape of the molded plastic. Plus the chin is different, as is the hairline. Don't get me wrong, this is excellent work. But make sure the before and after images are of the same doll.

The hyperrealistic eyes that end up very wide set due to the original doll's facial structure just make the new doll that much creepier.

Does he sculpt also? The size & shape of the nose & lips is totally different. More than paint, that.

Is this a hobby or did she do this for a living? I'm just wondering who would think of something like this not in a bad way. I think she's ridiculously talented. :-) It's just something odd to do and never thought of it I wouldn't even know how to do it. And I don't know how you would make money off of it if it's not a hobby? Just wondering. Great work.

I disagree. Molds are very basic and often the original paint does not even fit since molds are used for many different face paints (notice the overdrawn bottom lip in the original paint). The repaint is just contoured differently and also lit very differently as well. Go watch some make up artist videos on contouring to see how it can change the shape of an actual human face in the same way. It's magic!

Focus just on her face, and the cool undertone with the freckles and contrasting brassy red hair. Porcelain completions really can be this pale, especially with redheads.

Gave myself bangs like that once in the mid-80s, when they were decidedly not in style. This is what happens when you attempt to perfect straight bangs in the summer, on a tropical island, on curly hair with paper scissors.

The details, such as the veins in this one's forehead, are the magical touches for this artist.

Pink frost lipstick is a bit daring, but I agree, teeth were completely unnecessary. And a woman with her cheek bones does not need that much contouring.

This difference in the face expression, from kind to kinda aggressive, pretty much calls for a meme. (Pretty good, btw)

I don't think one is the same doll. Lips are different shape {that is plastic mold), ears are smaller, bridge of nose is different.

l was thinking the exact same thing..the first doll's nose is broader and the lips narrower and wider..not to mention his hair is plastic..
