Some people believe that in order to make an incredible drawing or unique artwork that will catch everyone's eye, you need to have special materials and all kinds of different painting tools. Well, the good news is that in practice, this is actually not true. And one artist is here to prove that!
Gabriel Vinicius is a 22-year-old artist from Sao Paulo, Brasil. He proves that for those who have the talent to make great works of art, the only thing that is needed is a simple black ballpoint pen!
This wonderful artist specializes in extremely realistic drawings which sometimes almost look like photographs. The secret is that he focuses and spends a lot of time on details perfecting each part of the portrait. Therefore, each pen drawing looks like a masterpiece!
What's really interesting is that each of his black and white drawings shows different emotions expressed by his models: whether it be excitement, boredom, annoyance, happiness, or any other human emotion. Because of it, each beautiful drawing is unique and it would be hard to confuse one with another. Not to mention, the artist highlights the most alluring traits of each person so all of his realistic artworks are captivating and mesmerizing!

Twice in my life I’ve looked at multiple pieces of an artist’s work and been unable to distinguish them from photos. The first time was in an art museum somewhere in Europe. Probably in Spain. The painter was maybe 16th-century Dutch, or something like that; I don’t remember who. That was over 20 years ago. I’ve never since seen such realistic skill, until now. Funnily, this artist was a little baby back when I was looking at those paintings.

These are incredible. I love the technical accuracy of the portraits. You can see individual strands of hair and the light reflecting in their eyes. I’m so unartistic, I can’t even draw a crooked line.

Oh, those are great. I especially love the mischievous ones! Oh, and that one can recognize celebrities is a very cool touch, like Cara Delevingne in #20. Gorgeous

Fantastic. As a scrolled through them rather quickly after the first wow, I thought I saw some faint color here and there. Some pink lips and brown eyes. I had to stop and look at them mere closely and assure myself that is was all black ink.
