Vinegar also breaks down the calcium and it's cheaper. Put vinegar in a plastic bag around the shower-head. Secure it with rubber bands all night. The calcium should be gone however if it's really bad, you might need to do that a few more times. Seriously, vinegar is AMAZING! Vinegar and baking soda

Ok some clarification please HOW do you properly block the overflow? Thanks to who ever answers I think I'm not clear?
Looks like they used electrical tape to tape it closed.
Load More Replies...Because the plunger is supposed to create a vacuum which will cause obstrucions to get unclogged. By not blocking the overflow this will not work and so you're just standing there pumping the plunger with only negative effects like Rebekah explained and looking like a mentally handicapped panda.
Load More Replies...I also recommend buying a single lever mixer tap. Those are very common in the northern Europe but in most other countries people still like to use two taps (hot and cold) and mix the right temperature manually. I have never understood why they still like to do that even though single lever mixer taps have been available many decades.
Put the roll of extra tape in the toolbox where you can easily find it, along with the flow restricted showerhead that you replaced with a 5-setting one. That way you won't have to buy new ones when you move. Then you can take your fancy massaging showerhead to the new place and install it there.
Not true for Moen. When I pruchased my house every plumbing fixtures were Moens and one day the shower handle broke. They wouldn't replace it without the receipt. When I told them it came with the house so I had no receipt, there was nothing they could do even though it says Moen on it.
