We're all familiar with brands like Prada, Apple and Chanel. To most people, those brands carry a sense of luxury, quality, and refinement. There are also those who believe that such companies stand for decadence, mindless spending, and overpriced items. Perhaps driven by these conflicting opinions Israeli artist Peddy Mergui created a series of works where he imagined how would certain food products look like if they were packaged by famous brands.

The project is called Wheat is Wheat is Wheat and explores the idea of how brand packaging changes our perception. After all, the food inside is still the same. "The exhibition explores the dynamic and often blurred ethical boundaries of design within consumer culture". That's how the artist himself describes the idea.

This one is not so far-fetched. I once purchased Italian biscuits by Giorgio Armani and chocolates by Roberto Cavalli. The biscuits were dry as heck, but the chocolates were actually quite good.

honestly, this kind of article only perpetuates people being angry about large companies successful marketing strategies. Those companies don't have to do what your standard 9 to 5 people do. They live a different way. We can all change the way we think because we were all taught to think this way by our schools so that we could be good little workers instead of owners. It takes a very different way of thinking to be a business owner. Please don't be fooled... Please don't allow yourselves to be led by the deeply imbedded programming... Its scary to reach out and learn a new way of doing things, but it is soooo rewarding when you have stepped upon that path and become better than you were... not above other people, but above yourself and the horrific trap you were in before. Become the beacon...

And still there are ignorant rich a*****e that will buy this s**t even though the same stuff doesn't have the fancy name but costs 100 times less. This is what is wrong with the world today, at least a small part of what's wrong. Ed
