Interesting (to me) observation, the males I think of as "Alpha" are the ones who have a well balanced sense of emotion, who are both strong personalities, but kind, who can be vulnerable but also know when not it's not appropriate. They make mistakes but acknowledge that and learn from them. They are natural leaders, and just generally good people. I don't think of physical attribute at all, they could be physically like Dave Bautista, Mr Bean, or anything in the middle, it's their presence that matters. Then there are the males who THINK they are alpha. Those are the ones I usually laugh at behind their backs because they're so ridiculous. Peacocks who make themselves look large. They are more often bullies or show offs. Another interesting to me fact, is that alpha females to me embody exactly the same attributes as alpha males.

See the same thing all the time in heavy labour jobs. Work fit is a good term. I worked on the railroad gangs when I was young. I am 5'3" and weighed 130lbs. at the time and I could swing a spiking hammer all day. One day we had this gym monster show up. He went crazy all morning instead of pacing himself, used our drinking water to dump over his head to cool down then at lunch he disappeared. Apparently he walked 5 miles back to town rather than finish out the day. Good riddance.

Especially if they don’t try other alternatives, like letting the diplomats try to work it out first. Like someone who jumps from Point A to point R, instead of calmly going from Point A to Point B. War should be the last resort option, after everything else has failed. Maybe I’m biased, because I have a Masters in Conflict Resolution and understand the many options there are before getting to the most extreme one, but I doubt it.

I can think of some good reasons for war. Like if the US turns into Gilead I hope there's a war to overthrow Gilead and free the civilians. Would be too late for me though.
