Walking around towns and taking photos of their places of interest you may not see the whole picture: the view from the ground doesn't permit you to fully appreciate the scale and geometry if architectural memorials.

The Russian AirPano team of photographers rises to the sky to show you different places of our planet from above.

It's incredibly dramatic up close and just as dramatic in the landscape. It's such a standout compared to its Lego neighborhood.

Have any spotted Dart Vader's figure at one of the arches on the outside of the church? He is at one of the back arches ,not by the main area.....have a good look around the whole exterior......

Imagine Napoleon coming down Champs-Élysées through the Arc de Triomphe (a wooden mock-up then). Beautiful layout.

It might look beautiful, but the thought behind the design of the Parisian avenues was pretty sinister. They were built so that a small military force easily could control large parts of the city from a single point. Think how difficult it would be for a large mob of angry Parisians to move anywhere without soldiers getting a clean shot at them from a position at the Arc de Triomphe.

The Arc de Triomphe is nowhere near the center of Paris... The Parisian avenues have their current look due to Haussmann who enlarged a lot of places, namely to fight against insalubrity and diseases.

Amsterdam has many more charming neighborhood. I'm intrigued that the artist chose this orderly albeit industrial-like neighborhood.

The reason is that , the artist needs tall buildings to give the desired effect, which made this post famous. Jordaan or red light or any canal in the ring, would not give this effect to this photo.

Poor development planning in Dubai. They didn't anticipate the amount of human waste. Thousands of trucks haul the s&*t into the dessert. Grossness.

I live in the tower on the bottom left of this picture. I can tell you that whatever lens this photographer is using makes all the building look way thinner and taller than they actually are in real life. Want to see what I mean? The yellow building in the top left corner is "The Address Hotel Dubai Marina". Google it and you will see that it's tall, but nowhere near this tall.

it may be dirty as a lot of people have mentioned, but I spent the best 10 days of my life while travelling india in Varanasi.. such a holy city. I love the ceremonies, the colours, the people there. To see the ganges (although very dirty) made me cry with joy, I could really perceive the power and energy that flows within these waters.
