"Taking A Picture Of Me???" - Woman Changing Her Baby's Dirty Diaper On Top Of An Old Navy Clothing Display
shes shocked that someone taking a picture of her, yet thinks its normal to change a diaper in a clothing store
That's how the mind of these people works. And they can't understand that they are the ones being total douchebags.
Load More Replies...Not to be off topic but she has a "I'd like to speak to your manager" kind of haircut.
And an “I’d like to speak to your manager” face.
Load More Replies...I've heard many a food server tell tales about people doing this on the restaurant table, in front of the rest of the customers. Some people just don't know what decency or sanitary means....
As a store owner, I'd let het buy all the clothes the kid is laying on ;)
Raising kids is hard, there is no question about it. It's easy to get stressed and frustrated - which can lead to some toxic parenting styles. Here are some toxic parenting behaviors to avoid. Instead of taking at your kids talk with them. Barbara Greenberg, PhD, a clinical psychologist known for her national television appearances focusing on the mental health of adolescents and teens, told Reader's Digest: “Toxic parents are known for not listening to their kids, but instead, talking over them or at them,” and said they should, "make a concerted effort to remain silent and listen, listen, and listen some more. If kids feel listened to they will talk more and confide more.
Parents Letting Their Children Play On The "Vietnam Women's Memorial" Right In Front Of Veterans
Look at the one guy's face. He is so justified in his pissed off ness. This isn't the kid's fault but the parents who didn't instill in them any respect.
That's why this submission is about parents being jerks.
Load More Replies...No statue, no matter what it represents, is for a child to climb on! Unless it's made of plastic, in a primary color and in an actual playground...
Actually, in D.C. on Constitution Ave NW almost directly across the Mall from this, there is a larger-than-life statue of Albert Einstein that children (and adults) can climb on. As it is metal, so that is not recommended on hot days. So much for "no statue, no matter what it represents...". I understand people's disapproval, but I think real disrespect is an intentional act. A fact of reality is that kids have been clambering on statures probably as far back as they have been built... and will continue to do so. Kids climb all kinds of things because it something kids will try to do.
Load More Replies...Why take your kids there if you have no respect for what the statue represents?
Because some parents have this mind set that just because they have kids, they have a right to be anywhere and do what they want. But then if you try to shame them, they use the excuse of "They're just kids! How DARE you question my parenting!!"
Load More Replies...No please don’t guys this just ain’t on those veterans worked so hard and these people are just disrespectful even if it wasn’t in front of them it’s still wrong
During the elaborate funeral procession for a local man killed in Iraq I was filming for my husband who had to work. All you can hear is the little girl next to me laughing and yelling about the parade. The mom was too busy on her cell phone to notice the dirty looks she was getting from everyone around her.
These Kids Just Destroyed This Thrift Shop's Toy Section And Their Parents Did Nothing
Every single game missing anything or anything on the ground.
Load More Replies...Call the police on them and have them pay for every single item and ban them from the store for life.
hope they paid for damages, this makes me sick, they are raising two little monsters
They DO NOT raising monster, they are a pair of venomous living things that contaminated pure kids with their poisonous attitudes. Teach your kids wisdoms and they will become wise men in the future, teach your kids bad things and they will do bad things in the future.
Load More Replies...Why the hell did the parents let the kid do that!? Is this post from the employee of the store and blaming on a parent of a kid or did this really happen. I, as a parent, can't even imagine a parent letting a kid do this!
These parents are the type that don't give a flying F. They were probably the same way when they were kids. The apples do not fall far from the the tree.
Load More Replies...Hell no!!!! I let my son play with the toys at goodwill but you best believe we put that stuff away and leave it looking nice.
They need to pay for everything they unboxed or destroyed. What kind of example is that to set for your kids? Kids really do learn from behavior modelling.
No modeling was done; the parents did not play with the toys.

Try to stay positive! Negative thoughts can be more powerful than you think and affect your interactions with your kids. Internationally recognized child psychology expert, Jeffrey Bernstein, PhD, explained to RD: “No kid is perfect, but parents often don’t realize just how much their own thoughts, rather than their children’s behavior, contribute to their own emotions.”
This Mother...
oh hell no, this is disgusting. Why does no-one say anything to this parent, instead of taking pics call the manager, get them kicked out and banned from the restaurant.
Why is everybody always just assuming people don't do anything AFTER taking pictures? Isn't it imaginable that people would like to secure proof before getting into a heated argument/fight?
Load More Replies...When the " I don't give a f*ck " mentality has reached an all new low.
I remember back when I worked in a restaurant, this was an all too frequent occurrence. The staff would ask them, politely at first, not to change their baby's diaper on the table. With most people, it was like flipping a switch and their common sense returned to them, as if they'd just had a mild brainfart and not realized they were in a public place (mom brain is a thing!), but some parents would actually get hostile about it. One woman loudly declared, "We are never coming back here again!", to which my boss, the owner, said, "If you think it's ok to change a diaper on the table, we don't want you back."
How hard is it to take your kid to the bathroom or even the car to do this? Not on a table at a restaurant! They should be banned for each place they continue to do this in. After a while getting banned should keep them at home where they belong.
Until the men pull their socks up to take over such tasks when outdoors, some mothers just gives up maybe.
Load More Replies...I wonder if she'd be upset if someone took a s**t on her dining table.
that's not even the kids fault, thats just mum being disrespectful
On a table?? Where people eat? And possibly might get diarreah from your disgusting baby's poop? What is wrong with you?
You need a changing station for that, not just a toilet. Would you put your baby on the floor in front of the toilet? No, I didn´t think so. That does not mean that it is OK to change the kid's nappy on a restaurant table. There are better solutions available, all of them include being prepared for this situation.

A complete lack of imagination and responsibility, like a deliberate terrorist activity.
You know... I can seriously imagine someone thinking they are doing the other children a favor by exposing them to this.
Load More Replies..."A person can spread the virus BEFORE they show symptoms". The parent, may have had NO idea their kid was sick when they took them to the play area. :(
To be fair, the kid could have been contagious without any symptoms and the parents just didn’t realise.
True. Then again they could've vaccinated their child.
Load More Replies...You know that you can be infectious without any clear signs yet (starts just like a cold). The only question I have is why the child wasnt vaccinated. But there could be a good medical reason for that as well. Please check details before assuming anything!!! I mean the symptoms are even listed.
VACCINATE THAT MESS!! I am a Public Health Nurse. Let's not re-invent the wheel here, people!
If you're a public health nurse, then you probably know that many people cannot vaccinate for legitimate health reasons. We have no indication that this had anything to do with antivaxxers.
Load More Replies...To be fair you can be contagious before any symptoms appear (as this notice points out)
Hold your horses folks. This one might have been an accident. It clearly states one can be contageous 4 days before the rash appears. The virus can be spread before symptoms are shown. Not everyone is a terrorist or murderer you know.
But if they were vaccinated, this would not be an issue. On par with 3rd world countries, except the parents there realize the horror of these diseases.
Load More Replies...I love how they have deep cleaned Småland, which is a 29 000 km^2 big province with 700 000 to 800 000 inhabitants.
Measle is contagious 5 days before the first symptoms... if the parents were not aware the kid was infected (and he/she wasn't vaccinate for medical reason) then, s**t happen. If the parents are antivax/were aware the kid was sick/ made this on purpose: 1) they should pay for the medical fees of all the infected people 2) they should face justice.
It's hard to keep a cool head when you have a million things to do, the dog got out, you have to drop people off at activities and still have work. Dr. Bernstein believes that it is worth it to learn how to manage these parenthood frustrations as the outcome can have a positive effect on your child's behavior. “When you learn to identify and manage your own parenting frustrations, you’ll be amazed at how your child’s challenging behaviors can quickly improve.”
Leaving Dirty Diapers At Your Table After Leaving A Restaurant Is Pretty Trashy
This and few other posts makes me re-evaluate wanting to eat at a restaurant again

Thankfully, NO, I have never seen anyone poop in a pool.

Call the manager and bring the matter to his attention. Also tell him that you won't be coming back anymore if he refuses to speak to the parents.
I mean, depends on the manager. I used to work at hotel where our manager sometimes brought her own kids and they were very loud in her office right next to the reception, so me and also guests could hear them...when me or my coworkes said something about that, she was like you know, they are kids, they need to do something and not bother me so I can do my work...I was loosing my mind on these days

He had brought with him an old B&W "portable" mini-TV so he could watch the game, no earpiece. I would have said something to him, but I felt so badly for her.
Load More Replies...Umm.. no, f**k no. I would rather (and do) spoil my dogs enough but this kid looks old enough to hold his old and participate in family dinner table conversation.

Load More Replies...Your child is not their behavior. We all have bad days, imagine if you snapped at your child and from every day onward your kid thought of you only as "angry" mom or dad. The same goes for your kids. Dr. Bernstein explained: “The lack of time for parents to catch their breath and reflect, can lead them sometimes to see their children in global ways. As a result, toxic labels such as: lazy, problematic, selfish, and inconsiderate can result in parents influencing their children to be locked into a negative identity." Focus on solutions, not labels.
Lifting Your Kids Over A Guard Rail So You Can Ignore Them With Your Smartphone While They Try To Destroy A Display
Are the statues made from Lego bricks? Then, oh my gosh . . . Even if those weren't Lego, there are railings in front of the display for a reason.
I used to work at a place like this (exhibitions were there) and I remember getting reamed a new one for not letting one person's child play on a "ride" that clearly had signs and caution tape surrounding it saying "BROKEN, DO NOT USE" as in the caution tape literally barricaded the entire thing, but the parents thought it was perfectly fine to just stretch the tape, shuttle their kid underneath... Then me, the BIG BAD comes and says "That's dangerous, please play with one of the other rides/touch exhibits" - and I get screamed at. Loudly. because I'm DISCRIMINATING... and they paid GOOD MONEY to do WHAT THEY WANT here. I have never hated people more in my entire life.
I think he did this to get a photo. Because you know, he and his family are above it all.
Sad part is: If you tell them that they aren't allowed to do that, they'll look at you with a zombiestare because they can't imagine that they are NOT allowed to do this.
What's this guardrail doing in the way? Guess I'll have to lift them over!
He just wants the kids occupied so he can use his phone. Why'd you take the kids out again?
This Mom Allowing Her Child To Listen To His iPad Full Volume Without Headphones For The Entire Flight
Yes, this is a stupid Mother/ Father. But if other passangers don't complain to them or the staff, they cannot be mad that nobody did anything about it.
Staff should be ahead of that and stop it without anyone needing to complain.

Every kid is unique, even within the same family, and each one has something to bring to the table. Maybe you find it easier to get along with one sibling over the other or have more in common, but comparing kids against each other is toxic - especially if you think it will result in a change of behavior. Dr. Greenberg says, “Instead, you should celebrate each child’s individuality; comparisons damage self-esteem and do not serve as motivation.”
Neglectful Parents
Some poor kids are just begging for attention, and growing up they'll probably behave more and more outrageously just to be noticed by their parents.
As a teacher I can attest to this. The students I encountered that act out the most are the ones who don't get positive, nurturing attention at home. Many are being shuffled between Mom and Dad or Grand parents house and are often stuck in front of a TV, or tablet. to be entertained. The most heart breaking thing I see on a daily basis is parents that come to pick up their kids and don't even ask how their day at school went. They grab their kid by the hand and haul them off while they are scrolling through their phone, their child' just begging to be acknowledged.
Load More Replies...Two outcomes: He falls and his parents sue the restaurant. ... OR he grabs the lighter on the table and burns the place down. BOTH outcomes will absolutely be the restaurants fault if you ask Mum. (insert EYE ROLL)
The blurring is ridiculous. The only point of blurring is to keep people from identifying them. If you worked with that woman, that man, or knew that kid, you'd be able to recognize them, even with the tiny bit of blurring.
Working at McDonald's I saw this all the time. The kid would act terrible, desperate for attention and for someone to talk to them. Honestly even though they were shy, just talking to these kids made their day!
Pro Travel Parenting Tip: Use The Lavatory For Your Child
Backstory: Parent brings own potty seat on board, sets it in aisle mid-flight to have child use (in front of everyone) - when discovered by crew was advised she couldn’t do this & would need to utilize the unoccupied lavatory. And her reply: “I don’t give a ****!”
Disgusting. However, almost impossible to enter miniscule plane restrooms with two peoole or to change a diaper in one. No win situation.
I have changed a few diapers in an airplane bathroom. It can be done
Load More Replies...Please can we just not guys planes are not always the most comfortable places and then people come and mess it up, it should be law that people if treating planes in this manner should be asked to stop if refused the plane should continue flight but when they get off the passenger should have a 6 month flight ban
On another note, isn't it kind of ridiculous that people feel the need to have websites like "passengershaming.com" and Facebooksgroups like "BrideShaming" and "Ringshaming"?
She doesn’t give a ****? Then the crew should’ve MADE her give a ****. Fine her for unsanitary practices which could endanger the passengers and crew—-kids are little germ farms anyway, and having one publicly defecating in a shallow, sloshing training potty, located in a sealed tin can cruising at 40,000 feet, is the very definition of risk. Put her on the No Fly List. She knew perfectly well what she was doing, and her attitude is going to lead to something in her kid’s bowel movements making someone very, even possibly fatally, ill.
This woman was lucky you can't be thrown off of a plane mid-flight... woukd have happened on a train.
If teaching, then I can be more forgiving. Not totally, at least ATTEMPT to use the lavatory (my daughter and my wife have both been in one, cramped as hell but they made it work, it IS possible!). But this seems straight...lazy, unless there are learning disabilities at play.
she doesn't give a $hit? i'd love to see the plane make u-turn because of her and dump her a**e off.
Dealership I Work At Gives Out Loaner Vehicles While We Get Theirs Repaired. One We Just Got Back
I would be mortified and embarrassed to return a vehicle like this.
Load More Replies...Maybe the dealership will charge for damage to a loaner. Either way, behavior like this really spoil things for the rest of us.
I work at a Dealership, there would be a massive cleanup charge for that vehicle. and the customer would be "fired" or at lease banned from ever taking a loaner again.
This is why people don’t loan things anymore always a deposit because people are just c**p bags that don’t appreciate what they are givem
They get charged for cleaning the car and next write a devastating review on the bad service they got from the dealer.
If it’s not your car, you do not let the kids have anything that can spill or stain in the backseat. It teaches them to respect other people’s things (actually, it’s a pretty good rule of thumb all around). There were 5 kids in my family, and we not only didn’t destroy things that didn’t belong to us, we also never made a mess in the car (unless we got carsick, which is a different issue). I just don’t understand why behavior and messes like this are so common nowadays.
i hate when people trashing someone else's car just because it's not their car.

This Little Kid's Ballon In The Theatre
Because, if the parents weren't idiots, they could find a place to tie the balloon to where it doesn't obscure the view. I understand not wanting to lose it, but what about tying it to an arm rest in the last row, next to the wall, or pulling it down and tying it so that it's somewhat level with the seats? There are options.

Parents Who Raise Their Kids Saying It's Okay To Leave A Library Like This
As a child, a trip to the library was always a big deal for me. Where I lived was so isolated that it was just a bookmobile, so even my grandparents’ small town library was a thrill.
Load More Replies...When I worked at a library, there were parents who would drop their little kids off in the morning and come back for them in the evening. These kids often didn't have shoes and they never were given food. The parents didn't even come in. Kids just showed up. One family would drop off about five kids, two still in diapers, and no, they were not dropped off with fresh diapers to change into. These kids were just in their own filth all day.
They obviously thought you were a day care. I would have placed a sign on the door of the library "NO CHILDREN WITHOUT ADULTS PRESENT!!!"

Omg this just made me remember that my dad literally said this to me as a child, but I would absolutely not do this even though he told me it was okay back then. I probably know better because my mum would say the exact opposite (she always got mad at him for doing things like wearing shoes in her house (they are divorced))
You're sure it's kids? I can name a hell of a lot of horribly messy grown-ups who've yet to earn that title.
I Love Watching My Kid Through An iPad
Here's the kicker...practically every school has an experienced person come in and video tape the performance these days. The schools offer it for download to the parents (password protected). They can get a copy of it without having to be this rude.
You aren't allowed to record in the majority of UK schools due to looked after children and it's amazing. Everyone can see and is present, really watching their kids.
I'd keep asking her to put it down and talk loudly so her recording would be covered with my voice.

Don’t Use Your Kid’s Mental Illness To Be An *******
Exactly, nor is it an excuse. “ Oh my child’s autistic, so I get to do whatever I want.”

You're taking it the wrong way. How do you know the parents are a**e holes when there is no context? It's just a light hearted sticker, plenty of parents have similar stickers, telling the world their child has a certain condition. bored panda have taken its meaning the wrong way.
Load More Replies...As an autistic person I dont know if I should be offended that its written as a mental illness or that it excuses something that probably shouldnt be excused...
Autism isn't a mental illness, it's a sensory processing disorder. My kid is autistic. I do explain if necessary if he displays behaviour that seems odd especially for his age, but I do not allow him to act in an anti social manner and I know the difference between autism and bad behaviour. It's my job to be constantly vigilant to ensure that he is comfortable and to deal with any stresses he encounters and to ensure that he is equipped for life in this world, not to allow bad behaviour and use autism as an excuse. This person is trash anyway, that stupid jigsaw piece is the logo of Autism Speaks who can very, very much f**k off.
When I see children behaving in ways that seem odd I tend to think 'maybe they are autistic' and move along or try and say something supportive to the parent (depending on what they are coping with). It's a sufficiently known disorder these days after all and I can't be alone in thinking this way. Hopefully more people are aware these days.
Load More Replies...autism is also not an excuse, (speaking as someone who is in fact autistic) sure we may require some understanding, but there are places to draw the line
It's OK to be different. It's not OK to be a jerk because you're different. Besides, some of the greatest minds in history were probably on the autism spectrum. Beethoven, Einstein, van Gogh. Just to name a few.

This is the kind of thing that makes me just want to smack the s**t out of someone, there's no reason for that. 🤬
No wonder the world is in such a mess. With parents like this who needs kids anyway!!!!!

A Mother Just Watched Her Child Do This
No, she didn't . She problably was too absorbed by her phone to even have even noticed it if the kid would have demolished the entire stand.
Seeing kids do this stuff with their parents also seeing they're doing it is horrible. You can't say anything to them, they know it's happening and anyone who just watches this doesn't care that they're ruining something. You can tell an employee, but they'll have to say something and we'll most likely also get yelled at because it's none of their business even though they work in the store and it's LITERALLY their business. Talking to a parent who lets their kid do stuff like this is the worst.
People like this need to be fixed and have to work off the amount of damage caused by their little bastards.

Load More Replies...Too bad the store security didn't see this. I saw a mother with two kids let them play on a store display of expensive grills...the high end kind like $500 and up. One of them climbed on a grill, hop and jumped to another, fell down and stared screaming. The hood snapped off on three of the grills, and the store security came running. I followed her out of the store and got the license plate. I gave the store my contact info if they needed a witness..never heard anything more, but I was FURIOUS!
At least the good news is that those keyboards, unless the keycaps themselves were damaged, can just pop back together.
When Parents Allow Their Kids To Make Messes In Stores Like This
would hate to see what their house looks like, this behavior was learnt and condoned at home
Cassim_D, in my experience, it's the opposite. Because their own home is probably squeaky clean and tidy, their parents let them run amok anywhere else. After all, they don't have to clean it up, do they 😒. I would be mortified if my child or grandchild had behaved like this!

I would create this sign: ''NO CHILDREN ALLOWED IN TOY AISLE''. If the kids want toys, the parents can pick them for them.
Seeing a lot of these types of pictures on this article. I go to a lot of thrift shops and have seen this same situation but I don't think it is just one unruly family. It probably started off as a couple of unsupervised children then as the mess grew the other parents just allowed it to continue this way. People should still be a little more considerate though.

This didn't happen during a landing. Large child on moms lap and other tray tables down - flight attendants are pretty good at their jobs. This kids parents are s**t though, for letting their child do this.
Given all the tray tables that are open, I would say the flight crew hasn't prep'ed the cabin for landing. I am calling BS on this picture being taken during a landing.
The plane could not possibly have been landing as the tray tables on several other surrounding seats are still down. Okay to let the kid do this? No. Need to exaggerate the situation? Also no.
When Parents Let Their Kids Destroy The Thrift Store
why do the people working there just remain silent and not say anything, parents and kids need to be told that this is totally not acceptable

Guy Changes The Diaper Of His Kid And Leaves The Waste Behind
Just because you have an emission free vehicle, doesn't mean there aren't other ways to pollute.
Yep - the generation of electricity pollutes unless it has a natural source such as wind or hydro. Power stations will have to increase their output to cope with increased demand with electric cars so all emission free vehicles do is move the problem to one of many larger locations. It doesn't really eradicate it.

We live in a world full of people who aren't to blame for things they have damaged because "there was no barrier" and that's super messed up.
despite the comments suggesting the contrary, there are ropes all the way around this mosaic. (you can see it on the photographer's side stretching from the bottom left of the image to just over a third of the way up on the right hand part of the image. You can also see the shadow of the rope on the left hand side of the image and the posts holding the rope to the right of the mosaic.) And yes, it lasted 2000 years, protected under earth before it was excavated.

My parents (who had their first kid in 1942, and their last kid—-me—-in 1960, so were very old school), would first have nipped the food dropping (more like throwing maybe?) in the bud by taking it away until the train trip was over, and second, be embarrassed and vigilant about cleaning the mess up. Yeah, the kid may pitch a fit, but if you’re a parent, your job is to teach your kids how to behave in public—-and be consistent about it. The tantrums will end when they learn it does them no good.

well, credit to parking the bikes instead of letting them just lay everywhere. Credit for using the available space instead of a spot for each bike. But...it does not make up for using the handicap spot, or rather ANY parking sport. Find another safe, reliable location that does not interfere.
Sigh
They really just need to fence it. To anyone who doesn't see that sign it really looks like a cool place to play especially if there is already other kids on it. I get how it happened I still think that someone should do something because those signs a Obviously aren't stopping them
Whatever. It's some pieces of stone for remembering people who were sent to mess with other countries for the gain of corporations.
That's the same exact sign as another memorial in another picture above?
I consider this the memorial designer's fault. There's no way you could make such an enticing, open sculpture and expect kids to refrain from climbing on it. No amount of signage in the world is going to do that.
I'd disagree with you. Beautiful things do not exist to be simply tampered with like this. Memorials are meant to be pretty; I am sure, to whom/whatever the memorial is dedicated to, they deserve it. The children playing about are being disrespectful, but they should know how they're been disrespectful and why they shouldn't do it so that they can learn how to respect things. My neighbour leaves dirty nappies, cigarette butts, anything that drops on the stairs (rubbish or liquid, it doesn't matter) in the block of flats where I live. Only two flats in the building - mine and hers. I own mine, she rents. I asked her once to keep the place tidy and she EXPLODED at me, calling me disrespectful. Reported her to her landlord a hundred times. Nothing happens. I have to constantly clean up after her and there is nothing I can do about it. It's so depressing.
Oh, that's grim. Though don't stop complaining - the landlord might get sick of it eventually. Take daily photos of the mess and send them regularly (weekly?) as proof. If you are genuinely depressed get your doctor to write a letter as evidence of how much this is harming you. Definitely do not clear up after her - if she knows you'll deal with it why would she? I expect the landlord may be relying on that as well. It will be horrible for you but you need to stand strong. I'd only suggest keeping her mess in her area. Don't shove things into her house or do anything that she could use against you should the landlord take legal action to evict her. You need to appear to be above all accusations that you have contributed to the mess or caused her any problems. I really hope that this gets resolved for you. Bad neighbours have a massive impact on a persons life. Sending hugs. Good luck.

Load More Replies...I bet that the only confrontation these people got was someone taking a picture while trying to be unnoticed. If you drop trash, try to spray graffiti, don't behave in a restaurant etc. in Northern Europe, you will be told in your face to sort yourself and your kid out, not by staff, by strangers. It would be unthinkable to do that in some countries and those countries are usually drowning their streets in trash
In America you get bitched out and called a Karen.

If more people spoke up to people like this maybe it would stop. I use to work in retail and I can't tell you how many times I told the parents they will need to clean up after their children. I'ts not ok to leave a store trashed like that.
Good luck.
