Actually, in D.C. on Constitution Ave NW almost directly across the Mall from this, there is a larger-than-life statue of Albert Einstein that children (and adults) can climb on. As it is metal, so that is not recommended on hot days. So much for "no statue, no matter what it represents...". I understand people's disapproval, but I think real disrespect is an intentional act. A fact of reality is that kids have been clambering on statures probably as far back as they have been built... and will continue to do so. Kids climb all kinds of things because it something kids will try to do.

The parents should spank those kids... then the store manager should beat the s**t out of the parents.

Imagine what their homes must look like - or maybe they don't let their kids play with toys at home (for this reason) and that's why they let them loose in a store.

Oh hell ya, my big assed mouth would have got me in big trouble had I been there to see something like this. I seen some ridiculous stuff in toy isles especially at Christmas but damn, this is destruction of property plain and simple.

Why is everybody always just assuming people don't do anything AFTER taking pictures? Isn't it imaginable that people would like to secure proof before getting into a heated argument/fight?

Who knows if they did something after taking this pic or that someone was calling the manager while someone else was taking a pic

I think this was posted before in another bored panda section (or something similar) the lady was later forced out the restaurant and the table cleaned. She din't understand why. Can't remember any other information.

And the restaurant very likely has a baby change sttion in the restroom.

I take pictures first for evidence, then show manager if person stopped.

I am sure that they did. Probably before taking the picture. We will never know the real story because this is just a picture. I hate it when people make comments assuming that things did or didn't happen before or after a picture.

You know... I can seriously imagine someone thinking they are doing the other children a favor by exposing them to this.

When they find the parent of the measles kid charge them with a attempted murder. Any child exposed can die from the exposure.

To be fair, if the child was not old enough, or not able to be immunised for some (real) reason, there is not necessary any blame on the parents. You can have measles for days (weeks?) before symptoms show so they could have visited the store before they knew.

They almost certainly didn't know they were infected yet. It's highly contagious prior to symptoms showing, so health officials will track back where the person had been and quarantine anyone who had been in the same places for up to 4 hours (I believe) afterward.

Probably crazy antivaxxers that think they're saving people from the evil vaccines by giving people "natural" immunity...because they literally do not understand how the immune system works
