Reminds me of a dear little pupper we rescued.... He was so cute and affectionate, that the person who ran the shelter, adopted him instantly! But he ran away from the shelter when all the dogs were taken on a field trip.... they looked everywhere for the fellow... put up posters.... but there was no sign of him.... The only consolation is that, he was much much older when he decided to run off... so at the very least, he had loving care in his growing up days... I miss him to this day.... i hope he's happy and that god's watching over him.... :(

That post made me cry. And I'm still crying while writing... I never got the chance to choose my dog, I have two but THEY chose me and I just couldn't say no. I wonder how it feels to decide " I want this dog" but I can't imagine... If I'd listen to me, I'd just keep every dog I see lol (¯―¯٥)

Man, I am so jealous. When I first brought my first dog home he HATED me. He was so distant and aloof and I literally cried for a week because he wanted nothing to do with me. He wouldn't sleep in my bed. He wouldn't be in the same room as me. HATED me. He is still, eight years later, an old man grump BUT he is my grump. 30042_8664...68874f.jpg

So cute!!! I´m glad most of the pups on the pics´re rescued/adopted pups, ADOPT DON´T SHOP, and two lives will be much happier....💖💖💖💖 In the USA and other countries that have kill shelters (not a single one in Germany and some other European countries, thank God) you can even save a life!!!

We have 3 "rescues", including a worm-filled 6 week old Aus. cattle dog runt, sold for $50 in a Wal-Mart parking lot. She is now 10 yrs & feisty. No puppy pix - she never stood still.

every Wednesday l attend a craft group..this morning one of the ladies mentioned that her husband wanted to get a dog after loosing their Honey not long ago..he was looking at a puppy, but the wife was not interested in something that would mean loads of training and would/could be tripped over as they are both in their 70's..one of the other ladies piped up that she was getting rid of her dog of 4 years cause she wanted a smaller bread..the timing could not have been more perfect..it was the right bread, the right size and the right age for an elderly couple needing a new friend..they are catching up this afternoon to meet and greet each other..it saved one add and god knows who adopting and this way she can still keep visiting rights or photos at least..puppies are cute but mature dogs have gotten past all that stage/work and are better for adopting l think..
