Is it possible to say something offensive, but in a nice way? The question would be perplexing and probably without answers if not for this Instagram account.

Welcome to “Tastefully Offensive,” the page dedicated to sharing the most blunt and direct, sarcastic and funny tweets shared on the internet. They reflect what we all have been thinking lately: from hopes that 2022 is a precedented situation to someone pointing out how Leonardo DiCaprio owes his whole career to the iceberg that sank the Titanic, there’s a lot to digest.

And decide whether the tweets below are offensive or aren’t. Upvote your favorites as you go!

"Tastefully Offensive originally started as a website for sharing funny and viral content in June 2010 when the Internet was a much different place," Christian Baker, the founder and curator of Tastefully Offensive told Bored Panda

"It started as a fun side project while I was working as a marketing manager for a wine company. After about a year the website became popular enough to become my full-time job, which continued for around 7 years. During that time, the website branched into several social media platforms including Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram."

I like to use pass phrases rather than just a conglomeration of letters and numbers. The longer the phrase, the more secure it is. Especially if you use a couple of numbers and/or special characters. For instance: My d**k is Huge!99. See? You will remember whatever phrase you come up with much more easily than just a word. Easy-peasy.

    1. Use a password manager. There are pw managers that have apps for all platforms and sync across devices. 2. Let the pw manager generate pw's for you. 3. It's actually better that you don't remember passwords, according to The Privacy Security and OSINT podcast. Just know the master password of the manager. I find it quit a relief.

Combine random unrelated words, throw in some numbers in between - these can be pretty good passwords because there is no logic behind them, so no way to guess them.

I use bitwarden. Which my phone keeps trying to correct to "but warden," so that's what I'm calling it now. I'll add the extra 't' for fun. I only know my passphrase for my password manager, and change that every few months. I like to pick a line from whatever song I'm listening to at the time.

I pick a theme for my passwords so I can remember them. Turning on caps lock while still using the same sequence doubles my pool of possible passwords, since some things make you change it after a certain # of days.

Every so often, my password doesn’t work on my home page. I think it’s the providers way of getting people to periodically change. I just reverted back to number one, of a list of 13. And I’ll continue as needed.

I have a system. Maybe this will help you. I have a password building combination so I can always remember what my password is for anything. It's a combination key "phrase" of a few letters that is in all my passwords, plus certain letters of the business (example, you could use first two consonants of a business, so Google could be Gg, Amazon could be Mz, that kind of thing), and then digits+symbol that tells me if this is a financial account, a media account, a shopping account, etc. etc). I do all this in a specific order and every password is different, impossible to guess, and I never, ever forget my passwords. Just to be clear, this is not my exact method. Just an idea of how to build a method that is foolproof!

guys I've solved this one. Choose an encryption algorithm, e.g. sha256, or whatever. Here's a list of five. https://www.thesslstore.com/blog/types-of-encryption-encryption-algorithms-how-to-choose-the-right-one/ ... once you have done that, google "online encryption for" and the algorithm name, e.g. sha256. Then just put whatever you want as an easy passowrd in there. https://passwordsgenerator.net/sha256-hash-generator/ So for example if you want a password of "my name is bob", then in sha256 that becomes 2B74A90553C8E88E430D9A2032029D3EC8E5A727F826DF99FECD3614E50AD6A6 . You don't have to remember that. You just have to remember "my name is bob". But if you put that into https://www.security.org/how-secure-is-my-password/ - it says it will take 3 sesvigintillion years to crack.

The irony is that a lot of academic subjects work that way. Advanced academia is the ultimate pyramid scheme where they try and pull in lots of hopefuls to expensive levels of study to perpetuate their own purpose of teaching and finding replacements along the way. It's the biggest jerk circle on the planet.

Am I a freak because I would actually love to pay just for National Geographic without Disney+ or huge tv packages? There absolutely is a shortness of documentaries in all of the streaming market.
