Putting all the problems aside, if you're already convinced you can't fix them, and sitting and eating ice cream. Close friends who understand when you need to vent. YouTube. Fresh air. CHOCOLATE. Warm pillows and soft, fuzzy stuffed animals

A person who is considering suicide, (or someone who has already departed,) is not stupid. They are suffering from abnormal life circumstances, or a neuro-chemical imbalance, or (afaik,) often both. Normal human brains are programmed to love being alive. For a person not to want that, to be trapped in such a sense of despair that ending their own life seems the only option left, is tragic. When your brain says 'life is horrible, why keep bothering?' regardless of what your life looks like, whether it's objectively horrible, or it's fine on the outside but not fine in your brain, it creates a pain no one can really understand. What to 'normal healthy' people seems 'idiotic' is what happens when your brain replaces the light at the end of the tunnel with pure pain and you don't get the help you need.
