When it seems that the year 2020 can’t get any crazier, a team of scientists has just revealed that they detected gas in the atmosphere of Venus that could be produced by living organisms.
Stunned by the discovery, they now suspect it could put the planet in the realm of the inhabited world. Clara Sousa-Silva, one of the study’s authors, stated that “As crazy as it might sound, our most plausible explanation is life.”

There was a man who claimed to be from venus under the Nixon administration I believe he went by valient thor. He said he was from venus and they had floating cities in the clouds. I also thought it was probably bogus but maybe not.....
Venus is the brightest object after the moon that you can see gleaming in the night sky. It reflects most of the light that falls across its atmosphere, but it turns out, there’s something really bizarre happening in the Venusian clouds.
A group of scientists has just announced that they detected traces of gas in Venus’s atmosphere that, from what we know about this planet so far, shouldn’t really be there. The scientists were left scratching their heads looking for a reasonable explanation. In the end, they came to a conclusion that this phosphine gas, which is very toxic, is produced by microorganisms.
That doesn’t mean that alien life has been detected, though. At least, not yet. But scientists say the phosphine gas is most likely created by some form of life, or alternatively, it could be a result of a chemical process that they haven’t seen before.

One question though. Why is it called "alien"? If there really are life forms on Venus, they most likely are native to Venus. If they came to Earth, only then they would be "aliens".

For those of you that don’t know, tahdig is the best part of Persian cuisine. It’s the fried crispy part of the rice on the bottom of a pot of basmati rice. You cook it intentionally to break off into crispy fried bits. I made some last night and pretty much all the time. It can be made with potato, rice, or sometimes bread and even we do it to spaghetti. You can use saffron to make it more flavorful but a good oil and some salt are just as nice. This only works with basmati rice, it’s not nearly as good with other types. .... The literal translation btw: tahdig = bottom of the pot
