We Created Unusual Optical Illusions Using People As The Canvas For Our Art
8Kviews
Hi! We are Alexander Khokhlov and Veronica Ershova, a team of photographers and artists from Moscow. Today we are glad to introduce you to the new series of conceptual black and white photos. Here, the models were used as art objects to create striking optical illusions.
In the photography art project, named Humiforms, we turned to our favorite subject of visual eye tricks to create unusual portraits, from the layering of familiar objects. In Humiforms, we explore the personality and its inner world through body art, revealing through the images diverse qualities and conditions of humanity. Internal contradictions and harmony, a passion for excitement and excessive conservatism, a thirst for freedom and selective attention — these are some of the themes that emerge in the Humiforms series.
The models were transformed for the series using graphic body painting, supplemented with accessories in most of the images, which were then perfected using photo manipulation techniques. It took from two to six hours to create each image.

Whoah I love the aesthetics of this project, as well as the simplicity
Great job!
Um. These aren't optical illusions. They are just body art. It would be like saying a tattoo is an optical illusion.
