That doesn't seem to be the point. The point seems to be that he is wearing the costume of indigenous South Africans, and he appears to be white/non-indigenous (so quite possibly Afrikaaner). Of course, making a judgement call on it is tough since he could have mixed ancestry and chose to represent the black ancestors. But it looks a bit dodgy. I do think if the U.S.A. contestant wore a Native American costume and he was not Native American, there would be a stink raised about it, and rightfully so.

Don't forget they prospered off the effort is Indigenous Africans for each of those generations. Those clothes do not belong to this man or his culture or heritage.

There definitely shouldn't be any white people in indigenous dress. Just like this shouldn't have happened.

The fact that he is wearing Zulu clothes is a celebration and in huge admiration of the Zulu culture. We have 11 official languages here. None of us are purebreds of any kind and I must say I'm proud of my mixed heritage. So please shut it.

First of all, there's evidence that we originate from East Africa, somewhere near Kenya and Ethiopia, so you're off by some 3,700 km or 2,300 miles. Second, your white Afrikaans father isn't a native African. He's descended from the European Boers, who invaded and subjugated the Zulu and Bantu peoples of South Africa. The Afrikaners created laws intentionally designed to oppress, segregate, disenfranchise, and criminalise the Zulu and Bantu people... Laws that I remember coming down, and I'm only in my 30s So yeah, it's pretty weird that a white Afrikaner would dress in traditional Zulu garb and act like he's representative of the Zulu or Bantu peoples, instead of dressing in traditional Boer clothing

Actually, I'd say Native Americans and Asians built America. Or maybe you don't know that part of American history. I'm pretty sure the white people that live in South Africa now had nothing to do with when Europeans came there. They've been there for more generations then America has even existed. They have a right to represent their homeland. Otherwise, by your own logic, African Americans have no right to represent anything that has to do with America since they aren't from there and all.
