If you liked last year's body marbling trend, wait till you see one of the most recent makeup trends that we just can't get enough of - marble lips!
The new makeup look is popping up all over Instagram with tons of different makeup artists marbling on their pout. Some are making a basic white and gray marble effect, while others are taking their lip art to the next level with colors like purple or blue. Mastering the marble lip makeup may seem difficult, but it's actually pretty easy. All you have to do is cover your lips with a base of your chosen color, then apply random strokes of different colors with a fine brush - as Suuz Brouwer showed us in her tutorial below covering this beauty trend. To get inspired check out the pics below and vote for your favorite makeup ideas!

why oh why? marble does not belong on lips, although as an artist myself I can appreciate the skills , I do not like it on lips period!!!
I think there is a slight misconception when people say 'new trend' because a lot of people then assume that these are actually being worn out and say how they are not 'wearable' (which is true in most cases). People do amazing things with body paint but they aren't a 'new trend' - these lips would fall under the same category I think. Maybe then they'd be appreciated for the insane amount of work that is put into the final artwork than being dissed for 'not being wearable'.
What is it with Instagram and beauty? None of those silly make up trends are wearable.
I guess we're in the era of hunger game or something :( elizabeth-...2c5cb7.jpg
These are super impressive. Consider how large a lipstick stick is, and how small the lines are, and the detail of these lip designs. It's definitely an art and these are very, very well done. They're beautiful. While they seem to not be practical, I think that if you like to put make-up on, then go for it!! Nine minutes of doing it is well worth it if you enjoy it. Just because you're not into make-up doesn't mean that someone else isn't :), and it doesn't mean that they wouldn't enjoy putting the time into this to make these. No need to bring others down for what they like.
Makes for nice close up photos, but might be a bit unsettling seeing it on someone just out and about. But they shore dew have a purty mouth.
These trends are artistic and fun. They are more about testing your own skills and taking cool pics to remember it. Good grief, how dense are some people?
Well, if you took the last - erm, "model" out on a hot date, it certainly changes the concept of "lipstick on your collar", doesn't it! wife: "where have you been! It's late, and dinner's ruined!" husband: "I'm sorry dear, I had to work late tonight..." wife (sarcastically): "work late? Doing what? Plastering the office walls?!" Yeah... thanks, but no thanks - I think I'll stick to the good old-fashioned pinks-through-red lipsticks...
I love the song in the background! Does anyone know who sings it, and what the song is?
It looks so so great and cool 😎, I love it, I will try to get one
These lips all remind me of those Halloween wax lips. Would like to see the whole face in each case.
There's a reason why you don't see a singel time a whole human face with that strange lips... Because it does look toally creepy on real people. It only is (even if) kind of impressive in a close-up view.
I sell LipSense and ShadowSense which are smudge -Proof and will last all day and your lips can be rubbed together, You can combine the two to make a similar look. If your gonna take the time to make art do it with makeup that lasts. Huntinandkissin.com
It's fine for artistic stuff I guess https://www.instagram.com/p/BTmwNeelY_P/?taken-by=gliturr
Look awesome on their own, but imagine them with a face attached... that's kind of weird.
Gorgeous! But no kissing or eating...two of life's greatest pleasures! :)
It's pretty but if I saw someone wear this outside I think they were insane
I can barely apply normal lipstick; what makes other people think that this is wearable? It would take me hours to do those designs!
I'd definitely do this for Halloween or for a photo shoot but to wear this on a normal day nope. Plus I think the lips get really dry.
