If you liked last year's body marbling trend, wait till you see one of the most recent makeup trends that we just can't get enough of - marble lips!
The new makeup look is popping up all over Instagram with tons of different makeup artists marbling on their pout. Some are making a basic white and gray marble effect, while others are taking their lip art to the next level with colors like purple or blue. Mastering the marble lip makeup may seem difficult, but it's actually pretty easy. All you have to do is cover your lips with a base of your chosen color, then apply random strokes of different colors with a fine brush - as Suuz Brouwer showed us in her tutorial below covering this beauty trend. To get inspired check out the pics below and vote for your favorite makeup ideas!

lol photoshop much? Or thats some alien skin. and lip/cheek cutoff haha. Good thing you added movies to show how they really look. XD Alot less realistic.
How would I EVER have a drink, smile or even close my mouth without this lot cracking up on me. These r just cool runway/avant-garde looks!

This is deceptive, a lipstick could never give this effect. Her lips are hand painted as shown in the above video.
This is pretty, but nails that long are look really sick to me. And not "sick" in a good way.
Lol just need the crazy color hair and styles and we have the 1st annual hunger games!
Load More Replies...now i can't see it as anything else.... new trend, meat lips!!
Load More Replies...I love them all, especially this one, but how do you eat and touch up?
i like this one it doesn't have the flashy gold or black lining i wouldn't say it's simple but still gorgeous
I think it looks like a very bad lip infection
Load More Replies...why oh why? marble does not belong on lips, although as an artist myself I can appreciate the skills , I do not like it on lips period!!!
Agreed. I'm an artist too, but i get the feeling marble lips is something people do to take a picture of rather than to walk around in.
Load More Replies...Maybe it's just me....does it llok like a massive sneer to anyone else?
I thought that at first, she has like no space between her top lip and nose, but it looks like they are real. I can fit a whole finger between my top lip and nose :/
Load More Replies...Hey! Nice to meet you! *shake hands* *stabs with fingernails* ow
Looks like the "Oscar" you get at the Academy Awards just "finished" in her mouth. I know, that's crude, and I apologize for being crude. But that's what it looks like
eww good original makeup but the dripping brown glitter makes it look like shes barfing although i would never be able to do that anyway so no hate
I think there is a slight misconception when people say 'new trend' because a lot of people then assume that these are actually being worn out and say how they are not 'wearable' (which is true in most cases). People do amazing things with body paint but they aren't a 'new trend' - these lips would fall under the same category I think. Maybe then they'd be appreciated for the insane amount of work that is put into the final artwork than being dissed for 'not being wearable'.
What is it with Instagram and beauty? None of those silly make up trends are wearable.
I guess we're in the era of hunger game or something :( elizabeth-...2c5cb7.jpg
These are super impressive. Consider how large a lipstick stick is, and how small the lines are, and the detail of these lip designs. It's definitely an art and these are very, very well done. They're beautiful. While they seem to not be practical, I think that if you like to put make-up on, then go for it!! Nine minutes of doing it is well worth it if you enjoy it. Just because you're not into make-up doesn't mean that someone else isn't :), and it doesn't mean that they wouldn't enjoy putting the time into this to make these. No need to bring others down for what they like.
Makes for nice close up photos, but might be a bit unsettling seeing it on someone just out and about. But they shore dew have a purty mouth.
