A 10-Year-Old Boy In Argentina Went Viral After Posting Pictures Of His Cakes And Other Pastries Online (27 Pics)
Today we’d like for you to read the story of Joaquín Nahuel, who is a 10-year-old child from Argentina. After suffering from burns all over his body, he decided to start making and selling cakes, pies, and even cupcakes to hopefully save enough money to pay for his skin reconstruction surgery.
Joaquín’s story became known a few weeks ago on Instagram, when the young boy posted a publication about his story and some of his work that quickly went viral as people wanted to show their support.
The boy's mother named Raquel said the little boy needs four skin expanders for a facial reconstruction that cost $500 each and are for the face only.

The accident, which left him with 25% of his body burned and evident scars, took place three years ago, when Nahuel and a cousin sprinkled alcohol on some embers, injuring both of them. In the end, the worst injuries fell upon Joaquín’s arms, neck and face.
OMG! I can barely make toast without burning it!!!! This is so amazing that he made this and he is only 10!
I cant even heat up store bought cookies with out burning them lol
Load More Replies...That is a really nicely frosted and decorated cake! I would buy that if I saw it in a local bakery.
Boca Juniors players bought 1 cake from the talented Joaquín.
“I was playing with my brother, it was my mother's birthday, we took the alcohol and threw it on the grill and we both caught fire,” he shared on social media.
Joaquín is very inspired when it comes to baking, even though he is still in school. His biggest source of inspiration is his grandfather who taught him how to make pastry and even cakes. He also cooks and distributes muffins, donuts, and mini cakes that he sells as an extra to make more money for his surgeries.
I see a budding patisserie chef. He's already working with fondant sculpting and working on his piping skills.
However, a week ago he managed to deliver a cake to Boca Juniors players (a football team in Argentina), and the picture got shared on Twitter with this exact caption:
“I hope you enjoyed it and if not, I promise the next one will be better.”
What is your opinion on Joaquín’s story, Pandas? What do you think of his work? Let us know down in the comments! As for the boy itself, Joaquín mom is actually in charge of receiving donations meant for the buy and if you'd like to donate to help him save up for the surgery we suggest heading to Joaquín’s Instagram page for more info!
Kid, I just wanna say, your skill is immaculate I wish I could do half as good as you!
I love how you see his piping skills improve in each photo. To people who say piping is easy, I highly urge you to try it. I said the same thing when I was learning and my piping looks like an amorphous blob.
haha, I'm so impressed, and I'm a really hard person to impress so congrats💫✨
Sad the medical system there doesn't do this for people free, is it like America?
Surgery, doctor's fees, stay at the hospital, etc are free. He needs 4 tissue expanders, $500 each one
Load More Replies...What are you, a communist? We at the GOP all think child labor is the way to pay for basic healthcare.
Load More Replies...Just hear on the radio that he reached his funding goal for the surgery. It´s a shame he had to work his ass off at 10 y/o to pay his medical bills. At least it´s not the US health care, otherwise...
Dystopian nightmare. I feel so sorry for this kiddo and I hope everything is ok.
This isn't a cute and inspiring and adorable puff piece. It's so messed up that anyone wants to spin this in any way other than how messed up it is that he has to do this. He is a child with a serious medical issue. Healthcare is a human right. Children who need any type of medical care should never be told "good luck hustling so maybe you can have enough money" I hate it when people write these types of articles and skip how f****d up the whole situation is.
Healthcare should be considered human right, but unlike other human rights it requires lot of funds that many developing countries simply don't possess. Now if this was in the US, that'd be another story...
Load More Replies...I wish this boy the best of all things, but I find it disgusting and tremendously sad that things like this are necessary.
