My Photo Series “Porcelain Beauty”, Showcasing People With Albinism, Continues With The Help Of AI (15 Pics)
Back in 2016-2017, I introduced my photo project "Porcelain Beauty 1" and "Porcelain Beauty 2", dedicated to the unique beauty of people with albinism. After its publication, I realized that I wanted to expand the project's scope to include people of all ages, races, and nationalities from every corner of the globe. However, the path to realizing this idea was unclear.
Recently, I delved into the study of artificial intelligence and suddenly understood that it could be the key to fulfilling my dream. Nowadays, there are many debates about the impact of AI on creativity. Some consider the use of AI in art to be forgery, and I once shared this view. But over time, I came to see AI as more than just technology—it is a tool that opens new horizons for the realization of ideas and fantasies.

I am proud to present the continuation of “Porcelain Beauty”—a project created by me in collaboration with my invisible assistant, the artificial intelligence Midjourney. It is a journey into a world where technology and human creativity converge, creating something truly magical.
Well AI now adays are getting quit good (read intro if you don't belive me)
Load More Replies...This looks like it can be from a scene from the movie “Lord of the Rings”. Beautiful!
They just used an AI to create an image with a text string that describes something like this?
Load More Replies...Rodents are adorable and without their role in research, we all might have died from something horrible. Humans are gross. Our food waste creates overpopulation and our destruction of habitat created predator loss.
Load More Replies..."I wanted to do a photography project on people with albinism around the globe, but I didn't know how to accomplish it. So I decided to type some words into an AI prompt and have it do the work FOR me!!!"
"Showcasing people with albinism" *doesn't use any real people* yep I did a thing
You'd think AI "artists" wouldn't post stuff on BP anymore. We are very clear on this. DO. NOT. GIVE. US. AI ART.
Oh, so not actually a photographer, I see. Just liked the IDEA of albino people, but no real interest in actually creating anything real
This completely undermines every intent the artist professed to have with this mission. It's just becoming fetishistic at this point.
I have just reported this post for obvious reasons and urged BP to crack down on this AI nonsense, sooner rather than later. You can't claim to be a page for ARTISTS while allowing AI generated plagiarised garbage like this. You just can't.
"After its publication, I realized that I wanted to expand the project's scope to include people of all ages, races, and nationalities from every corner of the globe. However, the path to realizing this idea was unclear." Ok, so you decided to ditch the whole process of contacting people with albinism and all that entails, possibly producing some high-quality photographs due to the close contact and rapport with them; instead, you opted for generic images generated via plagiarism from what other people have actually created. AI isn't forgery, it's a blatant robbery of other people's work. It is a tool so we can make tasks we hate doing easier and more efficient, not to replace people in doing something that they love creating, and part of that is the process itself. Typing prompts only requires brain-finger coordination, and having a machine that steals ideas to "create" its own.
That would require too much effort from OP, and having an AI vomit out these pictures is way easier for a lazy person to do.
