Great illustration, but a tired take. Yes we do spend time on our phones, I use mine to communicate with distant friends. We re currently able to reach out to people on the other side of the world, instantly. So yep, if I'm on the train or waiting for a coffee you bet I'll be on my phone, talking to my friends. I don't see how it's different to reading the paper.
I disagree. The internet is the best thing ever, it connects minds from a great distance like never before. Especially if you think about how much more open people are on the net. For introverts, it's a blessing.

I don't blame the internet, I blame the people who allow it to run their lives.
I think smartphones can be seen as a closed window to physical space but an open window to international space. It is misleading to think of social media in particular as a means of closing off from other people. Socialization has not ended, it has simply changed.

you know what? I was once outside such box. But things I liked back then was 'so extreme' for others and start bullying me. For me, that box was my world, without pain and bullying... I once again step out of my box once again, thinking, thw world can't be that bad aye?... I fell in love, I offe rhim everything, i was happy... Until he left me because I was different from his Ex he still loved even she was long taken away... He hurts me once again... More than anyone else...
