What does it take to become a Disney princess? Is it all about being beautiful and kind? Being born as a princess or marrying a prince?
Probably all girls dreamed of becoming a princess while watching the famous Disney movies in childhood. Even though at first most of the princesses were mistreated, their charm, beauty, and kindness saved them from a rough life in the end.
If you are as kind-hearted as the famous actress Blake Lively, as charming as Amanda Seyfried, or as beautiful as Emilia Clarke, you don't have to be royal. Russian artist Helen Morgun decided to imagine how her favorite Hollywood actresses would look if they were the Disney princesses and the beautiful drawings are truly amazing!

Rihanna As Tiana
"Gorgeous Riri as Tiana! I think that someday I will draw her again because she's perfect and she looks gorgeous. Also, I am really impressed with Tiana and her story that she did not sit and wait for her prince to come."
Lucy Liu As Mulan
"I wanted to paint her for a really long time. But I had to redraw it twice. At first, I wanted to depict the moment when Mulan cuts her hair off with a sword but something went wrong in the process and I decided to do a slightly different version of her."
Should have picked Ming-Na Wen, the actual voice artist for Mulan.
Load More Replies...Amanda Seyfried As Rapunzel
"For this illustration, I have tried a new background format. I love this cartoon and I especially love the soundtrack of it."
Margot Robbie As Elsa
"My first attempt to drawing this actress was not very successful. But I believe in a second chance. Hope you guys like it!"
This is perfect for her. She usually plays the ice queen in some movies
Never thought of Elsa in live action form, strangely. Margot fits her to a T though!
Christina Aguilera it Julianne Hughes would have fit better but I like Margot
Blake Lively As Aurora
"I love the film "The Age of Adaline" with Blake Lively for its banal plot and the pleasant aftertaste after watching."
I think Blake Lively would make a perfect Aurora for a live action Sleeping Beauty.
She's perfect for the role, as she can't act to save her life...
Load More Replies...Blake Lively is just angelic... and Aurora is my fave Disney character.
Emma Stone As Merida
"Have you ever shot a bow? I have twice in my life and I should admit that I really enjoyed it. The feeling when you hit the bull's eye is certainly overwhelming! Of course, I shot at a static target and I can hardly imagine what it's like to shoot at a moving target."
The perspective is wrong on this one... The hand on the bow should be way bigger!
It may also feel like that because of the hair...
Load More Replies...Billie Eilish As Kida Nedakh
"To be honest, I have learned about her on Instagram. Currently, my music taste is 99% songs from my childhood."
She's the princess in the Disney movie Atlantis. download-8...30271.jpeg
Kida is too happy and curious for Billie to suit her, not that I have anything against her, I just don't think Billie Eillish is the best choice. Best drawing tho!
Mila Kunis As Esmeralda
"The lovely Mila Kunis as Esmeralda. Let's talk about beauty! Beauty, of course, is a terrible power, but how important is it for you? Do you consider yourself beautiful? On a scale from 1 to 10, how much would you rate yourself?
There is a wonderful stand up on this topic by Jim Jeffrey. If you have not seen it yet, I recommend you watch it. I would rate myself as a 7 with my makeup. I admit that I like to look at beautiful people - in crowds, movies, or even Instagram. But for me, a person doesn't need to have classical beautiful features. Charm is much more important to me."
Most of the Romani people in Europe have skin which is very similar in color to Mila Kunis's.
Load More Replies...Esmerald is a gypsi. The actress here does not fit very well in my opinion.
Neither is Mila she's a lighter skinned Latina but she's still Latina
Load More Replies...This should be a more exotic looking woman. A very dark European with dark hair and dramatic facial features or a very dark but elegantly featured Indian woman. A tall, soft featured black person could work as well like an Eritrean or Somalian. Basically racially ambiguous and very dark but energetic and exciting. Ms. Kunis while pretty isn’t exotic. She’s gorgeous but in a typical/familiar way.
The artist didn't color the eyes correctly. Mila Kunis has Heterochromia, her eyes are different colors.
Lily Collins As Snow White
"Beautiful Lily Collins as Snow White! Is this apple poisoned? Who will be next? Jasmine? Or maybe Ariel?"
Did no one here watched mirror mirror? Lily collins did played snow white.. More or less
I can see the actress that plays Sabrina in Netflix as a good snow white.
Yes, as mentioned before Lily Collins has played Snow White in Mirror Mirror. I love her as this char and wish she had been cast in Snow White and the Huntsman instead. I did like the original with Kristen Stewart, but I think Lily looked the part better and maybe would have been able to follow through in the sequal if that drama hadn't occured with the first.
Megan Fox As Megara
"Many people asked me to draw Megan Fox. Therefore, I chose her."
Again, nope just my opinion but she is a trash actor who only got her roles because of her looks
Terrible but accurate the style of Hercules was very different
Load More Replies...Nooooooope! Megan cannot act to save her life and Megara is a feisty, sassy complex character. She deserves an actress who can play her accurately.
She doesn’t look like that anymore though. She’s ruined her face with surgery and fillers
Selena Gomez As Moana
"Charming Selena Gomez as Moana! She's one of my favorite princesses because the whole theme of the ocean, the beach, and palm trees is very close to me. I love to be in the sun and listen to the sound of the waves. I'm probably not the only one who loves that!"
She's not Polynesian though...... There are so many amazing Polynesian actors and models she could've chosen for Moana
No, while I do like Selena as an actor I would much rather have a polynesian actors playing the fabulous Moana
Haven't seen Moana, but isn't she Hawaiian? Selena Gomez isn't Hawaiian.
If you have not seen Moana...do yourself a favor and SEE IT ASAP. It has become my favorite Disney "princess" movie...and I am a long time, die-hard "The Little Mermaid" fangirl...but Moana has totally changed my mind.
Load More Replies...Emilia Clarke As Belle
"I decided to choose Emilia Clarke because her nature is quite romantic and very suitable for this picture."
Only put here in if you want Gaston to swoon and be terrified at the same time.
Haven`t you seen me before you? She is cute af. <3
Load More Replies...Good choice. I'd also suggest that Karen Gillan would make an excellent Disney princes - either Belle or Ariel amypond-5c...77ab2a.jpg
Absolutely can't agree with this choice. Emma Watson, imho opinion is the perfect Belle. Emilia Clarke doesn't embody her physically or characteristically.
Oh, I was wondering that too. I'm guessing it's digital because of the texture of the backgrounds, but I could be wrong.
Load More Replies...Leigh-Anne Pinnock As Pocahontas
"When I was a teenager, I had a dream to have a raccoon as a pet. But now when I watch videos on YouTube about raccoons, I am glad that my dream did not come true."
I dont think that was the point, she does look like Leigh-anne Pinnock though.
Load More Replies...Yep, native Americans have had pretty much everything taken from them, so let them represent themselves in movies
Load More Replies...there is no such thing as an actual princess in any Native American/First Nation tribe
I know chiefs weren’t really all what they’re made out to be either. Then again Indian culture isn’t really at all. Iron eyes was Italian
Load More Replies...Although Leigh looks a lot like the Disney drawing of Pocahontas the fact that the story deals with racial issues mean that it would never work and no doubt would end up offending native American who have already had a pretty dark true story disneyfied into a kiddies film and then replaced by someone of another race. I know this is just someone's suggestion but I just thought I would point that out.
anybody seen Terence Malick's the New World? The woman who plays "Pocahontas" (I know it wasn't her real name) in it is gorgeous, very fitting (and is actually native American, although I believe she's south american)
I was thinking that too but much like Leigh she's the wrong race for the role and race is an important aspect of this story.
Load More Replies...Cara Delevingne As Anna From Frozen
"And here's my Anna from Frozen. Do you recognize the actress?"
She looks scary, shouldnt they picked someone sweeter? More innocent looking maybe?
I really dont get the comments from this post, how many people saying who or what it should have been and trying to pick apart small insignificant things. I feel bad for the artist because somehow people read the heading on this post as "The absolute best actors who could play cartoons with realism and perfect ethnography" it's a silly draw someone as a cartoon piece and people are being pretty rude to the artist who shared her work with us.
Load More Replies...Camila Cabello As Jasmine
"In this picture, it is the beautiful Camila Cabello as Jasmine."
anyone else think her lips look to big? I'm not hating, It looks amazing but that is what I seen first cause they so big.
I would cast Lily Singh. She is indian, and Aladdins tale happens 'in the east' (china/india). She is also smart, strong and funn, which would make a very good Jasmin.
No way she looks to Hispanic. No Arabian enough. Kim Kardashian's would have been better even thought I dislike her.
Sophie Turner As Ariel
"That is how Sophie Turner would look if she was Ariel. I hope you will like her in this role."
Sophie Turner is absolutely stunning, evolving as an actress and this would genuinely be a good idea!
Naomi Scott As Jasmine
"Beautiful Naomi Scott as Jasmine (live action 2019). I made a mix of the old and new style so I hope you guys like it. Who else is looking forward to the premiere?"
I am sure she is gonna be Jasmine in the up coming live action Aladdin.
Load More Replies...I would cast Nazanin Boniadi as an arabian Jasmin. Lily Singh as an Indian Jasmin and Indira Varma for an older Jasmin (she is also half indian). :)
I agree that she's better than Camila and the face looks much more natural.
Ariana Grande As Vanellope
"This is how Ariana Grande would look if she was Vanellope. Just a proud and innocent girl! I like the first part of Ralph but unfortunately, I did not see the second part."
Amber Heard As Alice
"You chose beautiful Amber Heard for Alice in Wonderland. So here it is! I hope you like it. Do you believe in mystical events and prophetic dreams?"
nope. for starters, she can't act her way out of a wet paper bag...& she'd be far better suited as a villain. life imitating art & all that... (& don't "mera" @ me.)
not a fan of 'have you heard all about me" . I agree with other comments, Hayden Panettiere would be a far better fit.
Rachel Mcadams As Cinderella
"Amazing Rachel McAdams as Cinderella."
Reminded me of the girl who did one of the Cinderella versions. Something duff
Yeah, gotta echo the others here, Rachel McAdams is the wrong choice here. I can't quite reconcile the angular, smooth features of Cinderella in Disney with Rachel's apple cheeks and bubbly smile. She also seems a decade too old. Also, since her eyebrows and eyes are so dark, it unfortunately makes the hair look like a wig. But phew, such beautiful art!
I think Rachel McAdams would be better suited to one of the stepsisters.
On some of the photos, the writing under the image reads "you chose". Maybe she drew what her followers on social media requested. Just a quess. :)
Load More Replies...BP, I don't think I'm the only one who is really tired of seeing these "reimagined as Disney" posts...
yep and this is a project that was displayed ages ago with some new ones!
Load More Replies...A few were good, but most of them didn't fit at all. She white washed for the most part.
What? Disney princesses? How avant-garde. How did the artist manage to come up with idea?
Alright, number one: We're all tired of seeing Disney illustrations. Number two: over-sexualization, even when the Disney princess is supposed to be a sweet little kid. Number three: White-washing. So. Much. White-washing. And lastly (and not as important), Alice isn't a Disney princess.
The art is fantastic, but holy hell the recasts need to have more thought put into them
