22 Sassiest Responses To Homophobe Comparing Being Straight During Pride Month To Being A Jew In Nazi Germany
They say that the best way to respond to hate is with love. True, but in these days of anonymous internet trolling there might be an even better option: sarcastic mockery. The latest trend among alt-right types these days is to present themselves as some kind of victim; where is my straight pride parade? Why don’t I get a white history month? What about an international men’s day? Completely missing the point that our entire social structure is skewed heavily in favor of the straight, white male. Do you really need those things to feel accepted and valued, snowflake?

The latest example of this pathetically insecure victimhood came from this Twitter user. Surely we are all being trolled? If so, plenty of people took the bait and the tweet was shared and commented on thousands of times. Eventually, it found its way to Reddit whereafter it was shared on the famous ‘Murdered By Words’ page.
Ironically enough, the very best takedown to this abhorrent tweet was by a Reddit user named GaydolphShitler. Yes, you read that right. Ol’ Gaydolph was having none of it and set to work with the sarcasm-meter set to 11.
The satire-laden response sparked an entire ‘glitzkrieg’ of derision, full to bursting with glorious punnery and homo-nazi wordplay, as well as some more heartfelt and eye-opening reactions. What do you think? Is this a good way to respond to hate/trolling? Scroll down to read the rest of the reactions below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
It always surprises me when straight people get their undies in a twist over something that's got nothing to do with them. Gay Pride month isn't hurting you. I think most are just offended because they think that to tolerate it means they aren't being a good Christian. Well you need to read your Bible better, Honey. Especially concentrate on the part of love thy neighbor, judge ye not lest ye be judged and let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If the only thing you do with the Bible is use it to find fault in others..I think you got more things to worry about in your relationship with God than a bunch of gay people prancing around in rainbow attire and sparkles for a month.
I totally agree. Like, seriously, since when did movements trying to promote the rights of homosexuals, people of race, and women come all the way back to focus on straight, white males.
Load More Replies...What was it like coming out straight? Did your parents disown you? I bet you were told to keep quiet at Christmas.... did your gay friends joke/not joke about just needing to find a woman to have sex with? Pride isn't about being better than everyone else, it is about normalizing a place in society. Getting over the assumptions about who/how a person sleeps with another person... it's almost funny how uncomfortable breaking those assumptions are, and how much some folks lash out at it.
A similar situation, yesterday I got into an argument with some doofus on Reddit who thinks men are being oppressed just because women actually have a few rights.
The thing I hate is that there are about 10 people on the entire planet who think this backwards, and they end up getting the most attention. Why can’t us sane people who can argue like human beings get a spotlight? Or maybe society could, oh I don’t know, collectively stop being stupid?
Load More Replies...Being straight during Pride Month is like being a hockey fan when your city's baseball team wins the championship. Nothing to do with you at all, but you can still be happy for your fellow humans.
It bothers me when they compare the holocaust to most things. There aren't very many things as evil as trying to wipe out an entire race, and I don't mean to exclude the other races/groups they tried to kill off. You can compare someone like pol pot to the holocaust but not others that aren't even in the same ball park of evil like homophobes, the trumpster etc.
Thank you. Glad I'm not the only one who finds it unsettling...
Load More Replies...This whole thing is so dumb. I am a straight person, whom is also religious. Now I know the bible "says" that being gay is a sin and maybe it is and maybe it isn't. Here's the way I look at it.... I'm not God. I don't have any right to judge anyone. IF it's a sin in God's eyes, then it'll be addressed when we meet our maker. If it's NOT then no one has anything to worry about. I would never disown any of my children if they came out. I would never trade in any of my gay friends / family. So I feel like everyone needs to mind their own. If they don't like Pride week / month whatever, don't go. It's that simple. It has NOTHING to do with you....nothing.
Relating to be free, and having to accept that other people are also free, to the murdering of millions is just outraging. What a piece of c**p this person is.
Fun fact: there IS an International Men's Day. And the number of times it gets Googled on Women's Day is twice that of the searches of the actual Men's Day
Yep! Men don't actually want an International Men's Day, they just want to complain about women celebrating themselves instead of submitting to men
Load More Replies...Why can't people worry about their own relationship with God instead of attacking other people they feel don't follow suit? Gay pride month is not hurting anyone and I think this Christian has better things he/she could be doing with their tone
Have you seen those "want the gays dead" NFIB preachers? Now there are a few people using religion to spread hate that I do hope end up in hell if it exists.

I stayed with my husband in a B&B in a gay area of town. Our being a cis-het couple was a complete non-issue and didn't cramp anyone's style.
Load More Replies...I'm straight. Pride month for me is basically just there are rainbow flags I see sometimes when I go places. I'm sure there were SO MANY DANG RAINBOW FLAGS in the Holocaust. That must've been one of the worst parts. Chill out, dude. Being heterosexual in Pride Month doesn't mean someone is out to kill you.
And the idiot is probably not aware that gay men were also put in concentration camps. Plus, they were in danger from other prisoners and they were jailed after the war for being gay. It's not a competition to see who suffered the most, I'm just saying that the Nazis were out to exterminate a wide range of people, including gay men, and some groups and individuals had extra barriers to survival and post-war recovery.
Load More Replies...Funny... I don't feel like a Jewish person in Nazi Germany. I don't fear for my life every second, I'm not prevented from buying food and clothing because of my heritage, and I've never been taken to Auschwitz for not saying "Heil Hitler", among other things. The only thing I feel during Pride Month is disappointment at not looking good in colours.
We should really appreciate the tremendous effort behind the original post. Because homosexuals are born while the poster has worked hard for a long time to be such and idiot :D
More truth to that than people will readily admit. My in-laws are prime examples. They work very hard at being ignorant and unreasonable.
Load More Replies...Stay at home than. F***, how dare he? Bet he's still alive unlike jews in nazi germany. I mean- someone needs to give him a high-five with a chair- a metal one!
To me homosexuals are like people who likes to eat things i don't like (i.e. mushrooms, spinach, chilli, etc.). I wouldn't eat it, but it's none of my business what you put in your mouth. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion, but also everyone is obliged to respect opinions of others.
Then there was the night of Chrystal-Nice. When Gaysatapo storm troopers broke into 100's of businesses owned by straight people and rearranged the window display to make them more attractive.
Not because I'm anti gay, I'm the opposite. But because I'm the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor. Holocaust comedy is just weird and inappropriate.
Load More Replies...I can't really begin to imagine how deep in your a**e op's head must be just to think about that not to mention to tweet it to everybody to see. Like farting in the elevator, it's so wrong on so many levels.
You know homosexuals were actually persecuted among jews and other people the nazis find not wanted. They were forced to use a pink triangle instead of yellow star, but that's was like the only difference. So that poor stupido is feeling like being ... a gay in the nazi Germany?
Load More Replies...You know, I've always thought Pride Month was about celebrating all sexualities and gender identities, so there's nothing wrong with supporting LGBT+ as a straight/cis person. Saying this as a transgender/pansexual person!

A ship carrying hundreds of desperate straight people has left America but has already been refused permission to dock in Canada, Britain and Germany. Who knows where the 'Heterosexodus' will end up?
Ehhhhhh not a huge fan of the Holocaust play on words. I'm the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor so it's hard to accept this subject as a comedy act. Regardless, I do agree with the overall message and full heartedly support LGBQT rights.
It is obviously not easy to read the comments. I think you're being quite fair. Self-aware, direct and to the point, and also kind and positive.
Load More Replies...Straight folks are so incredibly desperate to be victims. Folks just can't handle anyone who isn't them getting any attention, even though their sexual orientation is by and large the most systemically rewarded even today.
Just some idiots, not all. The loud idiots are the WORST.
Load More Replies...I am so sick of people comparing their butt-hurt, made-up oppression to the Holocaust! No one is trying to turn straight people gay! No one is going to kill you because you are straight! Also, gay people do not obsess about what straight people do in the bedroom, so why are straight people so obsessed with what gay people do? I, personally, don't care what people do. It's none of my business. Stop making it weird.
It offends me always, when something is compared to the holocaust. Millions of people were killed, and nothing in the world can even be remotely as bad as that! Pride month reminds us to tolerate everybody, regardless if you are Jewish, Islam, gay, straight, or in between!
Well, unfortunately, that wasn't the only mass murdering humans have done (Holodomor, Rwandan genocide, Armenian genocide, and others). Not to undermine the horror of the Holocaust, but I think it's important for us to understand this kind of thing isn't a one-off but something we as a species need to be vigilant about. There's been a lot of them. :( (Some other examples) http://endgenocide.org/learn/past-genocides/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocides_in_history

That's not what it's about. It's a month were people on the LGTBQ+ spectrum can just be themselves. Remind the world that we exist and that there's nothing wrong with who we are. Your suggestion would be to just sweep us under the rug and pretend we don't exist. Historically, that hasn't worked so well. In the future, there may not be a need for things like Pride month, since we'll all be treated equally. Until then, we need things like Pride month in order to feel 'normal', since we're still oppressed, mocked, treated like freaks, accosted on the streets... forced into 'therapy', told we're all going to 'roast in hell', and of course, are persecuted and even murdered. Just for existing. Also: there is a Black History month, an International Men's day, and quite frankly, every day is 'straight pride'.
