There’s a whole lot of snobbishness about Crocs going on out there. Like Nickleback and vegans, some things are seemingly just cool to hate.
Personally, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. They are super comfortable and serve a purpose, which is just fine for me. The latest outrage has arisen over the release of ‘high-heeled’ crocs, which are as practical yet slightly glamorous as you can imagine. While critics and fashionistas are howling about how ‘hideous’ they are, the people have spoken and they are selling like hotcakes, despite the hefty $55 dollar price.
“Get all the fashion without sacrificing the comfort. Dress them up or down, and enjoy wherever the day takes you!” Crocs say about the heels on their website. Do you agree? Would you buy a pair? Scroll down to check them out for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Share on FacebookI don't understand the hatred for Crocs, especially not the level where one says that others shouldn't wear them or even threaten with bodily harm if they see someone wearing them. It's not like someone is forcing you to wear them, and no one is forcing you to really look at other people's shoes. Not every shoe needs to be cute or "fashionable", some shoes needs to take function over form and it seems that is where Crocs have positioned themselves. Of course this specific choice tilts it slightly more towards form than usual but still function over form.
Ive never heard that level of hatred of crocks? I mean i know many people hate them cause they are to be honest slightly ugly but their comfy ? ;) but i've never heard that level of hatred for them I mean bodily harm!

I have a paid of Croc clogs with a moderate platform and fleece lining. They are AHmazing to wear! Don't knock 'em till you try 'em!
I have 4 pairs of these too, for winter, and they are SO soft and comfy and warm! I love them!
Load More Replies...I have 2 pairs of the high heeled Crocs from several years ago. They don't have the ankle/back strap, so they are really easy to slip on and off, and they are absolutely the MOST comfortable heels I have ever worn! I have a pair in black, and one in bright pink. When I posted a photo of the pink ones years ago, people tore me up and down, said they were so d*amn ugly, and so on. I couldn't believe it. I thought these were the nicest looking Crocs they ever came up with. And truly, the most comy heeled shoes I've ever worn. And I don't wear heels at all, but these, yes, these I can work with! My husband likes them too, especially the bright flamingo pink ones!
People are jerks. Wear your squishy footwear and revel in how comfy they are :)

Been wearing the heels for two years. Love them! Anyone who doesn't like them is welcome to fund a shoe shopping spree for me.
Not sure what the big deal is. These have been around for years. I own Croc wedge shoes. They're really comfortable.
I have a pair of fancy crocs that I've worn every summer for five years. They don't look at all like Crocs, and people are really surprised when I tell them that's what they are. They are the most comfortable shoes ever. They are the shoes in the image, but they are black. AdrinaCroc...638187.jpg
The Swiss cheese Crocs I think look like rubber house slippers, but these heels look pretty normal. Might make some women with foot problems happy, especially if they're cheaper than Cloud Steppers.
High heels alone are uglier than crocs, so this really has to be something!
I thought it was going to be tragic, but I ended kinda liking. Not all crocs are fugly. This is just ugly in a way that it's cute (imho). And they seem comfy. Considering the fact that I was saved by a REALLY cute croc model (looked like a doll shoe and it was wine red, I felt like Dorothy) from several blisters caused by wrong shoes on a semester abroad (some I had taken from Brazil but all the other socks needed screwed me, other I bought there to no respite), I can't hate crocs. They deliver what they promise. Quality comfy shoes. And stylish, just sometimes dubiously stylish
So orthopaedic surgeons HATE these things with a fiery passion. They do not have any arch support, and they allow pronation , which has led to broken and sprained ankles as people walk. Also - they're so wide that many peoples' feet slide around in them, which adds to the danger of ankle and back problems. /// I just think they're hideous, cheap looking, and are a guaranteed sign that people have completely and utterly given up. There ARE comfortable shoes that aren't outright dangerous and ghastly to look at.
Mine fit my wide feet perfectly and I have the older model, from years ago, that don't have the strap on the back. Mine DO have arch support. I guess the older model is the better one. They are the only heels I can wear, with comfort, and I don't have to worry about a puddle after rain-- they are waterproof and very durable. I love them.

I have problems with my feet, and ballet pump crocs are the only thing I can wear to work! They have done wonders for my feet. Might have to check out these clog heels!
What's actually the big deal with Crocs? They aren't that common here and to me they look just like your average garden slippers that should go for like 5$ a pair tops.
my ex mother-in-law bought me the black heels crocs above and a pair of turquoise wedges (much prettier than the chunks above) something like 10 years ago... so much for the *new trend*
I actually think that these are pretty cute, although they are pretty expensive though...
I wear crocs cuz they are comfortable and I don't give a damn what people think of me for wearing them.
I only wear crocks at the nudist beach because then no one is looking at my feet.
I like crocs. Sure they're not the prettiest sandals around, but they are very comfy. I use them to chase after the kids in the backyard in summer. I do however like the look of the heeled version. I imagine they'd be the comfiest heels you could ever wear
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Crocs did not partner with Balenciaga to make the platform crocs. Did Bored Panda not do their homework?
They actually did team up. I think the shoe is called the "foam". They are platform crocs.
Load More Replies...Those high heeled crocs have been around forever. I bought some last summer, and I love them. I also have a couple pairs of their close toed heels for work, and a pair of wedge sandals. The one thing I don't have is the clogs....I just want height and comfort at the same time. Not willing to walk around all day in cute heels that hurt.
I genuinely remember my Barbie doll having shoes like these only they were hot pink
I'd try them on. I'm short with small feet and it's hard to find comfy shoes with heels in my size.
Load More Replies...The redeeming feature of crocs is their ease and comfort. As someone with a dicky back I have to shake my head in bemusement at their move to high heels - there goes the relative health advantage that they had...
I've got back and neck issues and the heels don't create any issues. The heel is not a stilleto. It's "block" enough to keep your feet from wobbling when you walk.
Load More Replies...Bored Panda is becoming a shameless platform to sell c**p. Why is this even of interest? Just like all the Etsy artists on here selling their "so realistic drawing it looks like a photo" or "you can't live without this item." Why do good things always come to an end?
Nope. Plastic and rubber is not a good mix. I suppose some "celebrity" will soon be seen dragging herself around in a pair and then all the sheeple will want them too.
Sorry Richard, you ARE entitled to your opinion, but surely have you have never worn any heels? These really are comfortable. And durable! And they are not $$$, not like the high end designer name brands those celebs you mentioned. Not everyone is a sheep; I like to save that category for religious discussions, not for shoes. ;-)

My sister got married in crocs... Don'y worry, they are divorced now.
