There’s a whole lot of snobbishness about Crocs going on out there. Like Nickleback and vegans, some things are seemingly just cool to hate.
Personally, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. They are super comfortable and serve a purpose, which is just fine for me. The latest outrage has arisen over the release of ‘high-heeled’ crocs, which are as practical yet slightly glamorous as you can imagine. While critics and fashionistas are howling about how ‘hideous’ they are, the people have spoken and they are selling like hotcakes, despite the hefty $55 dollar price.
“Get all the fashion without sacrificing the comfort. Dress them up or down, and enjoy wherever the day takes you!” Crocs say about the heels on their website. Do you agree? Would you buy a pair? Scroll down to check them out for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

I don't understand the hatred for Crocs, especially not the level where one says that others shouldn't wear them or even threaten with bodily harm if they see someone wearing them. It's not like someone is forcing you to wear them, and no one is forcing you to really look at other people's shoes. Not every shoe needs to be cute or "fashionable", some shoes needs to take function over form and it seems that is where Crocs have positioned themselves. Of course this specific choice tilts it slightly more towards form than usual but still function over form.
Ive never heard that level of hatred of crocks? I mean i know many people hate them cause they are to be honest slightly ugly but their comfy ? ;) but i've never heard that level of hatred for them I mean bodily harm!
I wear a pair of crocs around the house as slippers, and they're damned comfortable. I have FM, meaning that too much pressure on any body part gets extremely painful. These are really the only thing I can wear for prolonged periods without a lot of pain. Outside the house, I have to wear orthopedic shoes... and those are frigging expensive. The pair of crocs I've been wearing have lasted for years. So... Anybody who wants to hassle me for my choice of footwear can stuff it.
Right, but how many other shoe models or even brands get that amount of hatred that Crocs do? I've seen lots of ridicule (both warranted and not) but not hatred, ime this seem to be "unique" to Crocs.
No one is being seriously threatened with bodily harm for wearing crocs. It's hyperbole. People hate crocs the same way they hate Comic Sans. That being they really don't hate them. They just find them annoying and having a bit of fun by over-reacting toward them. No one is losing sleep over their "hatred" of crocs. I don't like crocs and I wore Earth Shoes in the 70s.
I just think they are seriously overpriced for some molded foam rubber, they're ugly (imo), and people frequently wear them to places they're not really meant for. Same goes for flipflops in my book. If they weren't overpriced, I would say they may be practical in some settings, but I can't get past paying that much for some foam rubber when there are reasonable alternatives.
I have used both Crocs and cheaper knock off foam rubber clogs and the Crocs have been definitely the best. Real Crocs are very comfy and very durable - I used my first pair of Crocs over 8 years nearly daily! People who use knock offs usually were able to use them only 1 or 2 years before those broke and those were not very comfortable to wear...
There is a big difference between just molding some foam rubber and doing it well for a specific purpose. I don't have any Crocs and only look at the prices once in passing by so no idea if they are pricey or priceworthy, but on most cases that distinction is up to the buyer.
Cassie they're fine stop saying that there are places you can and cant wear them people can wear crocs anywhere they want (exept in maybe sacred places but that applys to all shoes)
Exactly! My mum can't wear just any shoes (especially not high heels) because she has one foot a whole size smaller than the other. All the shoes she wears have to be comfortable and have straps so the shoe on smaller foot doesn't fall off. She doesn't really wear crocs but still, she has to value comfort over style

Me too, people didn't realize how convenient it was specially when raining or when it's hot to wear shoes.
I know it mat be surprising and contradict the title but I didn't lose it over high-heeled Crocs.
Can't people just wear what they want? I swear, high school never ends...
