Hey Pandas, What’s The Most Amazing Thing Anybody’s Ever Done For You.

This happened in the University District of the UW in Seattle. 1987, my 16th birthday. I was stupidly walking home about 3:00 a.m. from a friend's house on frat row. It was only a couple blocks from from where I lived with my boyfriend. I was alone. It was dark. And I was a very stupid teenager. Then I became aware of footsteps behind me. They were coming pretty fast and I knew it was directly for me. He was probably about a foot from me when I whipped around and and said, "oh thank God, it's really scary out here. Would you walk me back to my place?" His whole demeanor changed. Instantly. I saw the look on his face change from malicious to confusion to then surprise. He went from being very scary to a solicitous young man that was happy to walk me home. I trusted that he would and he did. Straight to my door. One of the most amazing moments of my life.
