What crimes have you witnessed in person?

Not in person but via media, I watched a mob of well over 1000 people attempt to thwart a boring paperwork procedure in the senate after the 2020 US presidential election. The following investigation was the largest in the FBI's history and then all of those criminals were pardoned as if nothing happened; craziest s**t I've seen recently.
Fox News Commentator: You mean you saw a group of peaceful protestor and tourists visiting our nation's Capitol building.
I witnessed a 13 year old kid rob a grocery store at gunpoint. He then walked away as if nothing happened. He was apprehended about 10 minutes later.
I didn't witness it, but someone broke into my house, and stole... my left shoe
Drive by shootíng in South Philadelphia when I lived there in the early 00s. Was out walking with a few uni friends and suddenly BANG BANG BANG car goes flying past us, guy in the back seat firing a hąndgun at a dude on the other side of the street. Friends and I flattened ourselves against the wall of the building we were passing and just stayed there frozen for I don't even know how long. The guy that had been shoţ at had booked it, so I guess he was ok. The police didn't even bother showing up.
Dude, you can't get Philly cops to investigate this kind of thing. I've lived here for almost 19 years now. The cops don't give AF! There's that famous case of the woman who's husband "found" her body in their apartment. This was a rich white girl, and they ruled it a self-unaliving (stupid censor bots) so they wouldn't have to investigate. Yeah, she committed self-unaliving by stabbing herself 22 times in the chest, throat, and back. Our cops are just thugs with badges.
When I was a kid, 8, a friend of mine was stabbed to death. Seven stab wounds in his stomach while we were at the market. The killer wanted his cash. His mom blamed me because we got separated from his her. This was a big city bazaar, hundreds of individual stalls, very dark even in daylight. It happened really fast, so fast I barely understood what was happening until my friend fell down covered in blood.
When I was a bit younger, I also saw the military bust into a university to execute one of my mom's friends (she was a professor). I wasn't in the room when it happened, but when we heard the gunshots we all rushed into the classroom. The students were all screaming, some of them had also been shot when they tried to protect their teacher. I suppose it was technically not a crime as it was ordered by the military. I think I was too young to really understand what was happening there too. It wasn't until years later that I understood that the men in uniform were the killers.
First was in my teens we decided to go to the arcade at Hollywood Beach, FL and walking through the parking lot there was a body hanging out the passenger door with multiple gun shot wounds, Late 80s. Another was taking kids to a museum in Memphis, TN and on the way home we go through one block of huge homes and cross the street and in the ghetto and have two cars pass exchanging gun fire. Just the way a large two story 6,000 Sqft home sits next to a modular home with a grown over yard making crack is just crazy.
Was at a party and this kid (early 20's) mentioned going to the corner store for some drinks. So we all started busting out our money and telling him what we wanted, offering to pay for a cab since it was snowing. He said, "Nah". Like 1/2 hour later he shows up with an entire cardboard potato chip display full of chips, an entire case of mountain dew tucked in his backpack and pockets full of every random candy he could fit. Asked him WTF.. he said he was broke so he figured he could steal the stuff and pocket the money. And since we were all good friends he didnt want to rip us off. He was strange, but a good friend to have. I often wonder where life led him.
We were new to living in WA State & decided to check out Seattle & Pike Place Market. While walking back to the parking garage, we witnessed a P*mp assaulting "an employee"...with a p*$tol in his hand.. Absolutely terrifying to witness...I cannot imagine the fear & repercussions felt by that woman.
Why in some countries it is legal and should be in the US. Medical examinations and registration required, legal places to be and no pi.mps. Sorry it may offend some but like a lot supply and demand, why shame a woman for making money for a legitimate service. Or even shame a man not looking for a relationship just wanting to crave a natural urge in a respectable way.
Not a witness per se, but I was a bookkeeper at a Home Depot. I was weekend my partner was weekdays. We reconciled the vault, prepared tills and counted them down. Lew and I (a retired cop) were frequently in touch about issues.
He called me and said that a cashier took seven counterfeit $100 bills. I immediately asked who the cashier was: Demaris. My immediate response: "inside job". Fired, but I don't know if she was ever charged. I wanted to hold a training for cashiers, even contacted the Secret Service to inquire, but it never panned out.
