I performed very badly on placement exams when entering college, so I was unable to take certain honors classes and I had to drop out of a rigorous program I had been very excited to join. It was a hard choice that I debated for a while, but after seeing some of the assignments that people in that program are doing, I now realize that I was not adequately prepared for that program and would have caused myself so much unnecessary stress trying to complete it.
