I’m conservative politically and personally I think it’s toxic. I know we need more diversity but we can do it in a more reasonable way without it being too toxic.

I’m not contributing much to your question, but I’d like to say that it is better to engage in respectful conversation with someone you don’t agree with rather than to ignore them and stay in your bubble or downvote the other person into oblivion.

Everyone has a right to believe what they believe. First Amendment. If you're woke, you're woke. Not? Then you're not. Not my business.
Just stop trying to force people to believe the same as you do. Everyone is going to have a different opinion. The world would be boring and in chaos (if that's possible) if we all thought the exact same.

This is coming from a Gen Z conservative male.
Woke: I think it isn’t necessarily the right thing and it’s toxic but I do understand we need more diversity and inclusivity in todays society but we don’t need to be so forceful about it. I believe in equal rights for all because people of different backgrounds and cultures come here for a better life. I think it should still be that way but that reality is becoming almost impossible. I still think we should secure our border because it would reduce trafficking but this is my opinion.
Cancel culture: It’s just bulls**t. It’s doing more harm than good and also it’s dumb. Canceling someone just for one mistake or simply expressing their political views(Especially conservative). For example Gina Carano got cancelled for simply expressing her conservative views and she didn’t hurt anyone so why did she deserve to get cancelled? Another example is Johnny Depp. He was blamed for the abuse of Amber Heard when in fact she was the one abusing him. I know justice happened for that b*tch Amber but still. JD kept warning us but we didn’t listen unfortunately and he got dropped by a lot of brands and movie studios except Dior(Good on you Dior).

Overall both do more harm than good in the end.

I think that people need to ask where things are coming from before jumping to conclusions. People shouldn't be downvoted for expressing their opinions in a RESPECTFUL manner.

Being woke is fairly needed in today's world, especially if your in a marginalized group. It also could be needed if the ruling body is corrupt, and something needs to stop it.
