My now husband. Completely oblivious. In high school I requested him as my driving partner in driver’s Ed and sat next to him in class every single day and kept talking to him until I thought my tongue would fall out but he barely talked. I dropped hints like crazy and even had some friends try to help me. At one point I used prize tickets at a restaurant we went to as a group to buy fuzzy handcuffs and then joked to him that I didn’t have anyone to “play” with. He still didn’t get it. It was actually a stupid fight after a close friend died that brought it out. In the middle of the argument I ended up telling him I liked him. We’ve been married 14 years. If you don’t tell the other person how you feel, you’ll get nowhere. Nothing will change.

My now partner. I'm in highschool and don't know how to talk to people cuz I'm a nerd. Knew them sense 7th grade and pretty much trauma bounded over how f****d up our lives were dropped SO MANY HINTS. Sat by them whenever I could. Tried to dress a bit better with contacts because ONE TIME they told me they really liked my eyes and the contacts make them stand out a lot more, make up, made them like 3 bracelets, and apparently they we're ALSO dropping hints like wearing the bracelets I made, also trying to sit next to me whenever they could, and yeah.

Back in middle school I had the biggest crush on this one guy. I would constantly give him compliments, talked to him like 24/7, would always try and find him at school to talk. I had asked him if he was going to get me a rose for this event we had where you could send roses to classmates, different colors based on how you felt about them. I had multiple friends straight up tell him they think I liked him to see what his response would be, but he would always say “no she doesn’t, we’re just best friends”. He didn’t believe it until my then best friend since preschool told him in study hall and explained how much I actually liked him.
