Avocados. I know they are all the rage right now, but the texture, the color, even the look of them makes me ill.

Black pudding. We were in Scotland on our honeymoon and thought the Patty looking thing was sausage. Biting into it, the outside was a crust that stuck in our teeth, and the inside was a gooey consistency. We couldn’t get it out of our mouths for anything. Main ingredient we come to find out is blood. That was 20 years ago and I’m still traumatized.

I saw it being made on some British cooking show years ago and me and hubby just looked at each with alarm. It's gross.

Butternut squash. I hated it growing up, I still hate it now. Even if my mom put extra brown sugar in it, it would always make me gag.

We used to eat this a lot when I was little. It was, meh. Mom would put it on mashed taters and dump a lot of gravy on it. Was okay I guess, although the iron-y taste was a bit off putting. Pleased to say I haven't eaten it in almost 40 years 😁

I enjoy lots of food. Most of it. Black Pudding, Haggis, Natto. All good. But beetroot is the thing I can never really eat. As salad, in Burgers, as a soup (Borscht) or any other way. It tastes like soil to me. I gave it a try many times until I gave up on it.

Urgh, my mom is always trying to get me to eat beets. I agree, it tastes like dirt

Tomatoes, raw or cooked. i am not eating that. The texture and the taste are the main problem, but even thinking of eating them makes me want to throw up. Even in preparations; if a pizza has a tomato base, I will not touch it.

I hate sauces too (and broth and everything that is water-like. Even milk in cereals). It makes all the food wet and the texture is a nightmare. i hate it.

Sadly, most meals have at least one of the two, so I am just gagging over my plate all the time. bologna pasta is my nightmare.

Pickled beets. I despise them. Also pickled peaches. HATE THEM! The taste still haunts me to this day. YUCK! (Cow liver is also horrible, and most squash.)

Zucchini? Oh no, but it doesn't matter, at least I'll have more left over, I'm a huge zucchini lover.

alfredo sauce. as a child, there were multiple times when my parents or brother forgot my request for no alfredo sauce on my pasta, causing me to rinse each individual piece of pasta to strip it of its sauce. repulsive.

Bean sprouts. Used to have them with soup noodles and I find they actually altered the taste of of the broth somehow, and not in a good way. Fried ones are fine but in general I avoid them if I can.

Ginger, can't bite into it without the spiciness hitting me directly in the senses. I don't mind having it in tea but ask me to eat one and no joke, I'll fling it right back at you XP
