I've lost count of the times I work best at night, in my basement shop, making beautiful things for my clients. Owls always do best in the evenings, and for me, this is no exception. :D
My wife snores like an outboard motor & is a heavy sleeper, so I could get up & work at 3am during an earthquake, so yeah. I'm always more creative at night. Something about after sundown, day's work done, & I can feel things settling into a pile of ideas to riffle thru in my head.

living alone doesn't mean you are a dirty or messy person, I live alone and I love to keep my place clean and organized, I clean after me all the time, I like my place, clothes and bed to smell clean, adn be clean. I don't know why they assume if you live alone you would live in a dirty and messy place.

I use a self-feeder for Charlie, and he only eats when he is hungry. Once a dog realizes he/she has nothing to worry about, they settle down and do not overeat.

Worked out of my house for decades until I retired. It's a blessing and a curse. You do find yourself working at 3AM...and justifying sneaking off at 2PM.
I can't I have people who depends on me. Besides myself, I have 2 beautiful monsters.
I think principally I'm annoyed as she has a much bigger graphics tablet than me. :P
Have to manage so not always at work. Besides, this picture looks like a hobby.
I was a nurse, so, can't work from home! But when I was home, I loved just kicking back and relaxing!i had cats, Inky and Alfred, Alfred being a lover of cuddles and the inside of sneakers! He'd sleep in my armpits, and Inky liked to sleep at the foot of the bed. Sigh... my dog now, is less apt to share my attention with anyone or anything!

At her age I would never have thought of such a thing. Being alone would have been so depressing. But now at 73, I love my solitude more than almost anything else. My Charlie shares my bed at night, and I can do pretty much what I wish, because I'm self-employed, and my shop is in my basement. But what seems so natural to me looks a bit out of place with someone so young, and by all appearances content with herself. Of course, I suffer from depression and she obviously doesn't. 🤔

I think that it is as beautiful as it is educative! YES a woman is able to live alone and enjoying it, it's not sad it's AWESOME! I live alone and dont want a partner or kids, i'm fine, i do what i want when i want, i'm so free to do anything, everything. I travel the world alone and i enjoy the fact that i'm totally free to meet people, to know people as want, and i travel to the middle east a lot without any fear. Leaving alone is really good for confidence, i can repair my dryer or my boiler without any help, repair anything and cooking really good... Self-sufficiency is an accomplishment, not a sad thing at all. What i find sad is my friends who are relationship because "its time", "it's for the kids"... because of social pressure and they don't share anything, they are not living together they are living parrallel lives and are not happy at all. Life is short, don't waste it to please others.
Living with others doesn't hurt my self sufficiency tbh. But you're right, getting into a relationship and not being in the relationship on a connective level is sad.

i love the drawings but to be honest.... if you can't do 99,9% of all these things while being in a relationship, the problem is not the fact that you are in a relationship. It is either the s****y attitude of your partner, or your own misguided notion that it would not be ok to do these things. But lovely drawings. nice atmosphere.
That's what I thought too... if you can't do those things because someone else lives in the house, either your relationship with that person (be it a friend, or family, or a partner) is not very good, or you're way too sensitive to what others will think of you. I live with my elderly father, I do pretty much all of this. I do most of it at my best friends' house when I stay over too.

I am not as cute (nor have I ever been) but I am really happy to see a beautiful depiction of a confident happy woman living alone. Obviously, I also have moments where I wish I wasn't alone (Usually when having to lift something heavy or watching something funny and there is noone around to laugh about it with me) but very often it is exactly like shown. And I think if there was a more positive image in the media about living alone, not so many people would remain in incredibly unhappy relationships.

I really like the artwork. For the social comment : sometimes i love being alone and sometimes i can't stand it. you've just got to choose for yourself whichone you need the most. But i doubt most people living alone will ever release their inner artist that way or do half of the images. Living together for me also means giving eachother space for themselves sometimes.
When we are alone, TIME is not a concern. Our activities depend on mood rather than time.
I do best when my family's gone and all the house is for me. I draw, jump around, read, write my book and spend time on dreaming in my degus or my dog' s company. I think that the artist is basically my soul mate, the four only things that distinguish me are my firm belief that spending free time to care for my look is worthless, the fact that I hate finding my hairs everywhere, my drawing style that makes me incapable of drawing people well and my rather short temper. ;)
No need to be so messy i find my place is spotless cause the only one making the mess is yourself! Laundry builds up but unless you mix your items and colours!

it's sad that someone would think being in a live-in relationship makes all of those things impossible. I can eat all I want, whenever I want, even with a partner being in the house and he would never judge me or Interrupt me. If he did, he wouldn't be my partner.

I am alone for 10 years, I can do all that, but sadly I would trade all that for person who loves me. It is fun when you're young thou. I am lucky to have my teen child and a cat, but they are just about messy as me, so we all three live like on this pictures. Still miss someone fourth, as messy and laid back as us, to love me, well I am human.

I'm just sitting here wondering WHAT IN THE HELL DID YOU DO WITH LILO AND STITCH?! I've been alone pretty much my entire life. I'm 40 and the normies have always been a little supicious and frankly s****y towards people who stand alone. You get enough abuse as a kid you learn to stay the f**k away, WAY away, from people. At some point in adolescence they declare you defective and possibly dangerous. I didn't realize the "normies" found basic time alone stuff to be an alien concept. Interesting.
As a dad I can definitely find the silver lining in alone time, which is rare and usually in the bathroom. But those quiet moments make being with my wife and son all the more special!

I do all those things except I do them with my partner rather than a dog. That seems sad. Also we get our daily 4hrs alone time as she works since morning and I afternoon :)
Same here. My wife and I do these both together and alone (she works nights roughly about 3 days a week, so there's plenty of alone time when she sleeps during the day and is gone at night and also plenty of time together to do these)

Pesonally I have given up believing that I will ever be loved or in a relationship. All my dreams have been shattered, time and time again.
I am single and do not need any cartoon reminder of the advantages of being single. This seems to me kind of justification for oneself when feeling lonely, in that there are advantages in being single. When you are single of course you can do what you want, but you also need to set rules, if you do not want to end up like the hoarders tv series. Hygiene and order are not optional. And sometimes you have bad days too, like i don't stand myself. BTW, there is no illustration of when she has those bad days aka period. is she content in those days too? I don't think so.
Loneliness is NOT living alone. Loneliness is living with the wrong person, that is a never-ending heartbreaking soul-aching mind-numbing loneliness that never ends.
This list makes no sense! If you can't do all that with your husband, fiancee, bf, whatever... around, then you have chosen wrong! This list is simply: what you can do with your loved one because you can.
I do not live alone, but i must confess that i relish those days that my husband has to work and i have the house to myself for the day. I see alot of myself in these illustrations. I really just wanted to comment on the ARTIST'S mastering of light......moon light, light from the computer monitor, bright sun light, low rainy-day light..........all very effective to create a mood. The illustrations are lovely but, I don't currently own a dog and I can do all those things with my girlfriend around (and enjoy them more for sharing the experience with her).

Living alone is more like working 35+hours a week, so you really don't have time to do any of that stuff because you're at work, and you're definitely not "Working whenever you feel like it" you're working when your boss says your to work, that is, unless you come the Upper Middle-Class / Upper class and have a rich family that will pay for your housing, at which point you can do this sort of thing....
I'm 20years old, and will be moving out in a year or so. The idea of having room mates sounds hectic and could damage the relationship I have with that person. So living alone I think would be better. I can have company over on my time, when I feel like having it. Plus I can sleep butt naked, and wake up with a nice butt scratch, then make breakfast naked. I cannot wait.

People tend to confuse living alone with being alone. When I lived alone, I was also very lonely, but there were days where it was nice and peaceful. Now that I am married and have two kids, I relish the times I have the house to myself.
You can do all of that with significant other too you can share your solitude, combine it with the one who you heart choose

I dont know how other's relationships are, but the girl in these illustrations lives just like my girlfriend. and we live together. besides the waking up part and messing around the bathroom, she lives just as free as this girl. I have never understood the panic over being alone, at any age. I have always enjoyed my alone-time, haven't had more than a few partners over the years, but I have never felt lonely. I feel free, I can do whatever I want, without having another person in my personal space, because like it or not, we do put on a performance if we are with someone. We try to look our best, not make fool of ourselves, we wonder what the other person think of us, and what we do. But alone, I can do what I like, without wondering if it shocks people, or think I'm nasty (when I fart), or look disgusted if I put my feet on my table. I love being alone. It's my power position.

I do all of these things and so does my girlfriend, and we live together. It's amazing when you are completely happy and can just be yourself around your partner.
Well I enjoy all of these with and without my wife of 11 years and our fur-baby Freya but then again myaybe we're the exception to the rule as we thankfully don't have kids and both work for ourselves from home.
Happy and healthy compromise...Hubby and I take separate vacations (in addition to the one together) The person who stays home has just as much fun as the one who goes away (sometimes even more fun) Find a life partner you can trust so you can enjoy your days of solitude with a peaceful state of mind.

To each their own. I personally love the artwork, but I was alone for far too long because I was ostracized. To me that was not bliss but solitary confinement. I enjoy being alone periodically, but I would never give up the time I have with my wife and my children. I pray to never be alone again.
My landlord would kick me out the house if I did half of the things on this list. Especially the painting one.
You really don't need to be alone for these things though. With the exception of marking your territory and leaving your hairs everywhere (both equally gross and I would never do those even if living alone), me and my wife both do all of these things, when together, alone, or even with our daughter.
I lived with my mom & brother well into my 20's. I ended up moving out (with my dog, of course), but 14 months later I moved back home. I was so miserable and lonely without my family, I was used to living with other people for so long, being alone 24/7 was like Hell. Being antisocial and having terrible anxiety, I never went out with friends, or went out to do anything. I'm so glad I was able to move back home.
The only difference with this is there isn't another person in the illustration. The only difference as to being single as to a relationship.

If you share your home with an animal, you're not really alone. How happy would she be if she were truly alone. And what drives someone do over thirty pieces of art about being happy while being "alone". That's not proving a point, that's writing a book... or attempting to start a movement. As a "loner" type and an artist, this seems more like a paen to living life with a social anxiety disorder.
Also, being happy while being alone is one thing... being happy because you're alone is another.

I don't think it's sad at all - she's comfortable and happy in her own conpany. That's a sign of great mental health, and something some people spend a lifetime trying to achieve. Whether a partner could expand that happiness or not, who knows?! I don't personally believe a partner is necessary for a full and complete life. But I do agree - these pics are beautiful!

I used to be afraid of living alone but now I think it would be nice and relaxing and I would get to live how I want to live, but I also would like the company of a woman sometimes to spend the night with or special times with. Unfortunately, most women and I don't mix very well so I would need special time with a robot woman! lol.

If girl and boy, woman and man fits each to other then they help each other in domestic affairs and make the nights more warm and pleasant But here is one real problem - created by silly women! When woman raises a boy she often to not teach him to help mama in domestic works, to arrange his room and wash his plates. So such the boy may be unconvenient partner in the mutual living in the family! And later the article occurs like published above: "As we, silly women did not teach our sons for the family life, so it is better to stay alone than to have such the "unconvenient husband"!

I am not as cute (nor have I ever been) but I am really happy to see a beautiful depiction of a confident happy woman living alone. Obviously, I also have moments where I wish I wasn't alone (Usually when having to lift something heavy or watching something funny and there is noone around to laugh about it with me) but very often it is exactly like shown. And I think if there was a more positive image in the media about living alone, not so many people would remain in incredibly unhappy relationships.
so... basically being single is being a lazy slob. that's what you get from those pictures.
I really like the artwork. For the social comment : sometimes i love being alone and sometimes i can't stand it. you've just got to choose for yourself whichone you need the most. But i doubt most people living alone will ever release their inner artist that way or do half of the images. Living together for me also means giving eachother space for themselves sometimes.
When we are alone, TIME is not a concern. Our activities depend on mood rather than time.
I do best when my family's gone and all the house is for me. I draw, jump around, read, write my book and spend time on dreaming in my degus or my dog' s company. I think that the artist is basically my soul mate, the four only things that distinguish me are my firm belief that spending free time to care for my look is worthless, the fact that I hate finding my hairs everywhere, my drawing style that makes me incapable of drawing people well and my rather short temper. ;)
No need to be so messy i find my place is spotless cause the only one making the mess is yourself! Laundry builds up but unless you mix your items and colours!
But the luxury of being alone is also not having to care! Though I'm like that too, less people means less mess 😜

I am alone for 10 years, I can do all that, but sadly I would trade all that for person who loves me. It is fun when you're young thou. I am lucky to have my teen child and a cat, but they are just about messy as me, so we all three live like on this pictures. Still miss someone fourth, as messy and laid back as us, to love me, well I am human.

I'm just sitting here wondering WHAT IN THE HELL DID YOU DO WITH LILO AND STITCH?! I've been alone pretty much my entire life. I'm 40 and the normies have always been a little supicious and frankly s****y towards people who stand alone. You get enough abuse as a kid you learn to stay the f**k away, WAY away, from people. At some point in adolescence they declare you defective and possibly dangerous. I didn't realize the "normies" found basic time alone stuff to be an alien concept. Interesting.
As a dad I can definitely find the silver lining in alone time, which is rare and usually in the bathroom. But those quiet moments make being with my wife and son all the more special!

I do all those things except I do them with my partner rather than a dog. That seems sad. Also we get our daily 4hrs alone time as she works since morning and I afternoon :)
Same here. My wife and I do these both together and alone (she works nights roughly about 3 days a week, so there's plenty of alone time when she sleeps during the day and is gone at night and also plenty of time together to do these)

I am single and do not need any cartoon reminder of the advantages of being single. This seems to me kind of justification for oneself when feeling lonely, in that there are advantages in being single. When you are single of course you can do what you want, but you also need to set rules, if you do not want to end up like the hoarders tv series. Hygiene and order are not optional. And sometimes you have bad days too, like i don't stand myself. BTW, there is no illustration of when she has those bad days aka period. is she content in those days too? I don't think so.
Loneliness is NOT living alone. Loneliness is living with the wrong person, that is a never-ending heartbreaking soul-aching mind-numbing loneliness that never ends.

I do not live alone, but i must confess that i relish those days that my husband has to work and i have the house to myself for the day. I see alot of myself in these illustrations. I really just wanted to comment on the ARTIST'S mastering of light......moon light, light from the computer monitor, bright sun light, low rainy-day light..........all very effective to create a mood. did anyone else catch all the disney characters in those illustrations? mugs, stuffed animals, dog toys, etc! loved these, so great! & who hasn't noticed or made shapes with their hair in the shower?! haha maybe it's an artist thing. her illustrations were fantastic though, the walks, baths & puppy snuggle drawings were all so relaxing 💕
The illustrations are lovely but, I don't currently own a dog and I can do all those things with my girlfriend around (and enjoy them more for sharing the experience with her).

Living alone is more like working 35+hours a week, so you really don't have time to do any of that stuff because you're at work, and you're definitely not "Working whenever you feel like it" you're working when your boss says your to work, that is, unless you come the Upper Middle-Class / Upper class and have a rich family that will pay for your housing, at which point you can do this sort of thing....
I'm 20years old, and will be moving out in a year or so. The idea of having room mates sounds hectic and could damage the relationship I have with that person. So living alone I think would be better. I can have company over on my time, when I feel like having it. Plus I can sleep butt naked, and wake up with a nice butt scratch, then make breakfast naked. I cannot wait.

People tend to confuse living alone with being alone. When I lived alone, I was also very lonely, but there were days where it was nice and peaceful. Now that I am married and have two kids, I relish the times I have the house to myself.
You can do all of that with significant other too you can share your solitude, combine it with the one who you heart choose
If you can't do all of these things when your partner is around, you need a new partner lol

I dont know how other's relationships are, but the girl in these illustrations lives just like my girlfriend. and we live together. besides the waking up part and messing around the bathroom, she lives just as free as this girl. And does the same things. I think people should stop being so judgmental and free them selves of their fear of being judged.

I have never understood the panic over being alone, at any age. I have always enjoyed my alone-time, haven't had more than a few partners over the years, but I have never felt lonely. I feel free, I can do whatever I want, without having another person in my personal space, because like it or not, we do put on a performance if we are with someone. We try to look our best, not make fool of ourselves, we wonder what the other person think of us, and what we do. But alone, I can do what I like, without wondering if it shocks people, or think I'm nasty (when I fart), or look disgusted if I put my feet on my table. I love being alone. It's my power position.
I gotta wonder if the artist is from Disney. These all have a curious Disney feel to them and I also noticed a lot of disney characters spread here and there (Stitch, Flounder, Mickey, a mug that looks like Mike Wazowski...)

I do all of these things and so does my girlfriend, and we live together. It's amazing when you are completely happy and can just be yourself around your partner.
Well I enjoy all of these with and without my wife of 11 years and our fur-baby Freya but then again myaybe we're the exception to the rule as we thankfully don't have kids and both work for ourselves from home.
Happy and healthy compromise...Hubby and I take separate vacations (in addition to the one together) The person who stays home has just as much fun as the one who goes away (sometimes even more fun) Find a life partner you can trust so you can enjoy your days of solitude with a peaceful state of mind.
Well, based on how much she eats she should have been drawn obese. There is no way she can afford a house that nice with a job as an illustrator, and in the pic where she's cuddling with her dog at night she looks depressed and lonely.

To each their own. I personally love the artwork, but I was alone for far too long because I was ostracized. To me that was not bliss but solitary confinement. I enjoy being alone periodically, but I would never give up the time I have with my wife and my children. I pray to never be alone again.
My landlord would kick me out the house if I did half of the things on this list. Especially the painting one.
You really don't need to be alone for these things though. With the exception of marking your territory and leaving your hairs everywhere (both equally gross and I would never do those even if living alone), me and my wife both do all of these things, when together, alone, or even with our daughter.
I lived with my mom & brother well into my 20's. I ended up moving out (with my dog, of course), but 14 months later I moved back home. I was so miserable and lonely without my family, I was used to living with other people for so long, being alone 24/7 was like Hell. Being antisocial and having terrible anxiety, I never went out with friends, or went out to do anything. I'm so glad I was able to move back home.
The only difference with this is there isn't another person in the illustration. The only difference as to being single as to a relationship.

If you share your home with an animal, you're not really alone. How happy would she be if she were truly alone. And what drives someone do over thirty pieces of art about being happy while being "alone". That's not proving a point, that's writing a book... or attempting to start a movement. As a "loner" type and an artist, this seems more like a paen to living life with a social anxiety disorder.
Also, being happy while being alone is one thing... being happy because you're alone is another.

The drawings are beautiful but the story is too sad. I hope she has a rich social life outside the house and a significant other (not the canine type) to cuddle with. Otherwise two years from not she may post drawings about the realities of depression.
I don't think it's sad at all - she's comfortable and happy in her own conpany. That's a sign of great mental health, and something some people spend a lifetime trying to achieve. Whether a partner could expand that happiness or not, who knows?! I don't personally believe a partner is necessary for a full and complete life. But I do agree - these pics are beautiful!

Unfortunately, most women and I don't mix very well so I would need special time with a robot woman! lol.

(i.e. cleaning up after yourself or taking care of yourself or your surroundings) and just "living in the moment and being free" is the whole point of this? if you find a friend and partner or get married... you can literally do all of these things even after you're married... as long as you're both interested in "living in the moment" and not cleaning up after yourselves... or being healthy .... .... .... too cynical? lol

She failed to find the man with the soul like her. If girl and boy, woman and man fits each to other then they help each other in domestic affairs and make the nights more warm and pleasant But here is one real problem - created by silly women! When woman raises a boy she often to not teach him to help mama in domestic works, to arrange his room and wash his plates. So such the boy may be unconvenient partner in the mutual living in the family! And later the article occurs like published above: "As we, silly women did not teach our sons for the family life, so it is better to stay alone than to have such the "unconvenient husband"!
