As much as we hoped for a ray of hope, it looks like Halloween is going to be quite different this year. Yes, you may still get yourself a costume but that blowout party you were thinking of going to will most likely be held on Zoom. Trick-or-treating also sounds... tricky.
Many traditional Halloween activities can be high-risk for spreading viruses, the CDC warned, advising people to plan alternate ways to participate in the celebration.
The CDC said it would be a good idea to avoid direct contact with trick-or-treaters, and give them treats outside. To do so, you can set up a station with individually bagged treats for kids to take. You should also wash your hands before handling treats, and, of course, wear a mask!
However, regular face coverings might take away from the Halloween mood so we've rounded up a collection of creative masks that can serve as a costume or blend into one. Continue scrolling and check them out.

NOPE IM GOOD THIS IT FROM DOCTOR WHO I THINK AND NOPE THIS GIVES ME ANXIETY
ARE YOU MY MUMMY!? As a fan of Dr. Who and resident of the UK, this is is giving me horrible flashbacks to that delightfully disturbing episode with the creepy little British child. Nope, nope, nope....I will never look at gas masks the same way again.
it's like the doctor who episode where everyones faces turned into gas masks, and were controlled by a dead kid
look by his ear. his lower face is actually a mask. most of the mask line is disguised by his glasses
Load More Replies...Look more closely, it actually is. The top half of the mask is a flesh coloured fake nose.
Load More Replies...It does. Look at the part beneath his temple, near the glasses. The mask fully covers his mouth and nose.

"Halloween is originally a Celtic tradition, but like every good tradition, it develops with every year and every generation. So let's keep it alive!" he told Bored Panda.
Professional makeup and Special Fx artist Cynthia Pinedo said Halloween has always been her favorite holiday. "Growing up, we were always having Halloween parties, dressing up, decorating our house," she explained. "My birthday also is the day before Halloween, so it's always just been a month to celebrate."
The pandemic has changed her Halloween as well. "Trick or treating is not really happening this year, I really feel like there is just no Halloween spirit this year, only because we all need to stay safe and get through this. So I'm making Halloween COVID masks." Hers are made of thin rubber, with a fabric lining, and they also have adjustable ear loops. "What inspired me to make these, was basically a way you can go out, do your errands, and wear one of the masks I make, to have a little fun. I wear my jack o lantern mask everywhere. People are really enjoying them, by even wearing them to work! That makes me so happy that I brought a little joy to those Halloween lovers this year during the pandemic."
If you participate in higher-risk activities or think that you may have been exposed during your celebration, the CDC advises considering extra precautions for 14 days after the event to protect others. These include staying home as much as possible, avoid being around people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, and getting tested for the virus.
Hand drawn art? What more magic could you ask for? Beautiful in a ghoulish sort of way. I want one!!!

Many of them are terrible because the idea of the mask is to let through air, and keep in the many-times-larger water droplets containing viruses (and bacteria, and yeasts, and ... ). So anything "non-breathable" (leather, solid plastic/resin, rubber, ... ) is bad, you're just ventilating your droplets from all sides.
This was just before the stricter rules again, we had planned her birthdayparty (everything was open, adults and kids weren't required yet to wear masks). We still wanted to be safe, so at home we painted the kids with glow in the dark facepaint and had them decorate a plain mask with glow in the dark markers. Myself I got a facemask with a fabric of eyes, I am planning on decorating that one with some bling, I just hope that will hold in the laundry. 2020-glow-...5900a9.jpg
"this was just before the people who couldn't keep it together caused mandates again"

The first one is not a mask and will do no good to keep you safe. It is silly. The others could be cool ways to get people to wear masks except for those that look like they have holes in them or are made from the wrong materials.
