Google has been around for more than two decades now and it has become the world's number one search engine. There are good reasons for it - Google is fast, user-friendly and is good at putting the most relevant sites at the top of their results list. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about Bing. No matter how hard poor Bing tries, it never even comes near the capacities and popularity that Google has. But it's not the main reason why people started making Google vs. Bing memes.
Several years ago, someone discovered that if you type suicide-related questions in Google and Bing, they show really different results. While Google pulls up suicide hotlines first, Bing shows you the most efficient way to end things. Thus, a topic that is in no way funny, became a hilarious meme format that people can't get enough of, so Bored Panda has compiled for you a list of 20 hilarious Google vs. Bing memes. Ever actually tried Bing? It's dreadful. I tried a few times years ago and the results weren't even close to Google. It's been the best since it came out (and I think Google is an evil, evil corporation).

yes, but let the two fight it out, dont just let one evil corporation control a whole industry. If they two are equal rivals in the field then it will force them to compete and then whomever promised to track you less and keep your personal data less will get more people and over time we can get rid of a lot of the bad practices without any new massive govt agencies or laws

If you judge the post-Ballmer-era MS separately, then why not?
I have. I use it via Ecosia as my default, and it is good enough for 99% of searches. And when it fails, so does usually Google too. If you haven't tried Bing, those memes above are mostly just pro-Google propaganda (ugh, such a thing exists?).

Try duckduckgo.com, they claim that they don't track you like Google does.
I've totally gotten normal results on Duckduckgo, so I'm not sure what the Human is talking about. It's less like... detailed compared to Google, but unless you're looking up some vague phrase, it works fine.
But their results are quite useless. IT seems a mix between Chinese backed Bing and the Russian Yandex
