Cafe In Germany Gives Customers Hats With Pool Noodles To Keep Them Apart

European countries are starting to slowly come alive again. One of them is Germany, where previous restrictions enforced by the state-wide lockdown measures are being relaxed. This is unsurprising as Germany’s been regarded as one of the countries that has dealt with the pandemic extremely well. As of 14 May 2020, 174,948 cases had been reported with 7,928 deaths and approximately 150,300 recoveries in the country. On 6 May, Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the goal of slowing down the virus had been achieved and that the first phase of the pandemic was over, while asking everyone to remain cautious so as not to cause a second wave.
On the same date, the federal government announced the lifting of more restrictions which gave an opportunity for restaurants to start working with certain restrictions. A cafe in Schwerin called “Café Rothe Schwerin” recently restarted its business by serving its patrons outside. It also made sure to space out the tables by 1.5m (4.9 feet) to keep some distance between the customers, which is what every restaurant ought to do.
However, the owner of “Café Rothe Schwerin”, Jacqueline Rothe, went the extra mile and came up with an ingenious idea to make sure the patrons keep their distance—pool noodles! Yup, you read that right. The business is using pool noodles attached to customers’ hats to help them with social distancing! Bored Panda reached out to Rothe and she also clarified that this was a one-time event only for the reopening of the cafe and the guest don’t wear the hats regularly.

The cafe also serves as a confectionery, offering patrons delicious cakes and sweets

It was a joke from a tv station. here's the complete footage...https://www.rtl.de/cms/sieht-aus-wie-karneval-im-fruehling-schweriner-cafe-verteilt-poolnudel-huete-zur-abstandsmessung-4540649.html
Thank you for sharing, Andreas. Still a pretty darn cute and creative gag during these darker times. We could all use a little dose of humour now. Also the photos of all those tarts are making me drool.
@Michael Mattei, by calling the illness caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 "the Chinese flu" you made sure, thankfully, that your ignorance on the subject is near total. With the number of reported cases of Covid-19 nearing 5 million and the dead (most probably seriously underreported) counting at well over 300.000 worldwide, there have been few times during my lifetime that the saying "Better safe than sorry" has been more relevant. I wish you stay healthy and that you will not be the reason a person dear to you dies from Covid-19. Better 6 feet apart than 6 feet under!
It's only a "darker time(s)" because you & millions of others have bought into this media and Deep State created bullshit. 88,000 deaths from the Chinese flu? BS. First there are normally between 30-60,000+ deaths a year in the US from the flu. This year? Strangely enough only about 6,000 so far. Further well over half of the Chinese flu deaths have been in nursing homes and if you are a healthy person between the ages of 16 & 65, EVEN IF YOU GET INFECTED, you have virtually a 0% chance of dying. In fact from testing we've learned that over 90% of those who have had the Chinese flu, NEVER EVEN KNEW IT! Ask yourself why it's OK to have 100's of people in a W/M but you can't play some pool or get your hair cut. Why are we listening to these experts who been wrong EVERY time with their models and casualty predictions? If most people have a 99%+ chance of not getting the Chinese flu or getting it and living, why in the world are we destroying the lives of millions of people?
I'm actually disappointed it's fake lol.
Thank you for sharing the true story!!
It's nothing to laugh about, it's not a joke, rather sad that small businesses must come up with ways to keep inconsiderate people safe or face lawsuits and bankruptcy.
The question is: Do they sanitize the hats after each guest?
It's funny only one person is wearing a mask but the pool noodle hat is the concern lol
How to sanitize human brains to rid them of ignorance and selfishness???
