Game Of Thrones Accidentally Leave A Starbucks-Like Cup In One Of The Scenes And People Are Losing It (Updated)
Game of Thrones fans were up in arms over the ‘Battle at Winterfell’ because they couldn’t see a thing – well in this weeks episode “The Last of the Starks,” the fourth episode (and third-to-last) of the eighth and final season, it appears they saw too much. During a party scene in the better lit episode, fans noticed a prop that didn’t appear to fit in with quasi-medieval realm – a lone Starbucks cup.
Despite the hard work and attention to detail the production designers and their crew put into each episode, it seems someone didn’t have their coffee that day and left the unapproved prop laying in front of Emilia Clarke.
Fans are going crazy over the fourth episode in season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ which featured an odd prop

Prop mistakes and lighting are not the only features that have caused a buzz among Game of Thrones fans this season. Some of these die-hard viewers have gone so far as to call season 8 the worst season out of all of them, with “Game of Thrones Season 8 Sucks” even trending on Google. So what has the internet so pissed (besides not being able to see)? Many have expressed frustration over lazy writing, saying that they have strayed from the well-thought-out plot points and dialogue that people pulled people in in the earlier seasons; while others add they appear to be rushing towards the end.
The whole fiasco started when a fan posted this pic

One thing is for sure, we pity the barista who had to try and spell Daenerys right

UPDATE: HBO clarified that this was in fact, a mistake, later saying that it actually wasn’t a Starbucks cup that was accidentally left on Daenerys table

Except that it's one of those things that can't be unseen, and acts like a scratch on a record whenever you re-watch it.
Load More Replies...I like how there have been a lot of articles like no small detail is for nothing in GOT. I want fan theories on this cup of coffee!
As a very experienced Background actor ("extra") for many years and about 100 productions, I have seen my share of goofs like this..and if I have noticed anything before the "ACTION" goes out, I will say something. Once prevented a similar goof in one of the STAR TREK films I worked on...the director was so thankful, he told them to hire me for continuity LOL). This may have been a case of someone going over between scenes and grabbing some hot coffee from the Crafty Cart (there are peeps who specifically supply everyone with a huge variety of beverages and snacks, to get us through an often 12-hour-plus day. They are called Craft Services, and truly the unsung heroes on the set! That is in addition to the caterers who feed us so well). handed off the hot coffee (It looks like it might have been Kit's), and in the haste to get things done, the prop peeps didn't catch it. Things like this happen, and I think it is endearing! You always see signs (like in the photo) on every set! Wardrobe-s...3f0437.jpg
1. This is not a fiasco - now the movie has gained attention to the people who wasn't intended to watch it. 2. Telling "how could they miss it, lazy idiots" you forget about thousands of times they didn't miss something. Why not to applause that you didn't see a coffee cup before a single time?
I think Big Foot Java would’ve been more appropriate!
Load More Replies...Man, the people who're like "THIS RUINED THE ENTIRE SHOW FOR ME" need to chill out. Mistakes happen, even on multi-million dollar shows.
You would think this show wasn't actually made thousands of years ago?
One thing I want to know: how much did Starbucks pay for this shameless product endorsement?!
I think, it was on purpose. And that a lot of money has been paid for it. What a publicity for Starbucks.
Now we had enough light to see that! Oh, the many things we may have missed in that darkest S8E3 episode...
Sansa you s**t, you know I ordered a latte and you brought me a mocha.
Seems odd they would allow such things in the set. I would have thought they'd have a dedicated area for personal items? I guess I was wrong. Lol.
Starkbucks, lol. This episode had me yelling and crying. This show is going to give me a heart attack. But I better survive to see the final ep or I'm coming back to haunt the hell out of someone.
Okay, when the Sonic movie teaser come aout and people complained about that design catastrophe their marketing team made it look like as people only complaining about his teeth. Now, that this freaking insult toward the first 6 season, which managed to be even dumber than s8e3 come out, the producers says "people only complaning about a starbucks cup!". F#@K YOU! Don't look down so much on your own viewers you piece of sh&%s!
