Textbooks can be pretty boring. All those facts, all those graphs, all those diagrams. No wonder kids struggle to concentrate in school. But although it seems like they're written by robots, a rogue bunch of authors have taken it upon themselves to inject a modicum of humor into these otherwise dry publications. because how come he or she's asking the number if he or she calls him/her. how did they type the number at the keypad... or if someone's call you, you may see the number as a phone's caller i.d.

Caller ID? Or MAYBE...just maybe...she is visting an aquaintance but those 2 have never met. He calls the aquaintance but they are tied up so she answers. They get to talking, one thing leads to another and he asks for her #! Confused? Me too I'll stop now.

Personally, I thought she should answer, "Es Seis- Siete-Cuatro-Nueve--Cero-Ocho." The number LOOK the same in any language, but are called by different names.
Oh c'mon. It's obvious that the boy arranged to call her at the house of a mutual friend. Naturally, she would allow him to call her at her house, and proceed to give him her number.
